I bought my dream daily driver and it's the most expensive car I've ever bought! Naturally, it needs work but I fix EVERYTHING in one video and add some custom touches to make this thing even cooler. Some will love it and some will hate it but I hope you enjoy the video either way.

How to replace big brakes at home - • Don't Let ANYONE Repla... - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Alex, I have a crazy idea… hear me out…
What is it though ?
@@simson803 ls swap it.
You thinking what I'm thinking?
Car trek electric style?
Cue flute music
Alex's videos encouraged me to do DIY brake job this summer. I was overwhelmed at first but after watching the videos it was easy! Saved so much and next will be bleeding the brakes! Thank you!!
@JJ; Also remember thinking that brakes were something just for the brake shop experts and was inhibited though am very mechanical.
Then, during my mechanics course at the University, brakes and many other aspects became clear how very simple they are to work, on especially, disk brakes compared with drum, though they are not difficult either.
Thus, everyone that has some basic mechanical ability can easily replace the pads, and frequently, before any damage to the disks occur.
Often, if the pads are allowed to wear to much, the disk surface can become damaged, and need resurfacing, but not replacement.
Am actually very surprised to see that these disks had such warping damage with the relatively short usage, time period. Also they are not well vented disks that higher performance vehicles have. Still, though, my 1979 MB 280E, when purchased from the original owner, in 1989, with all repair documentation, excellent condition, 125k miles, had perfect disks on all four axles. Also my other Japanese vehicles from Toyota 1974, 5, 8, Mazda 1976, never had any such issues with the disks warping with multiple times more mileage and years. Those disks were also simple design and manufacture similar with what these look like.

Sincerely

Did Alex write this?
That was a heck of a transformation. You guys did a really amazing job. You have good taste sir!
I agree, usually I do not like the goddy stuff, but this was a perfect match job. Really love the wheel color
Taste is good, not enough Honda, and to much electric (yes I know it’s rare to see electric here)
getting that blue to match is near magic...(why there are so few blue cars).
and those wheels! would look great on my charcoal grey tesla.
I really enjoy your “everything in 1 video” series!
Hi Alex, I watch legit Street cars every video you put up. Jus want to say you are one of the best creators on CZcams. Your videos are a pleasure to watch with great content. You explain everything you do with a lot of information. I have many problems with my car and really aren't in a position to pay to get them fixed. But watching your videos with the information you clearly explain I feel confident enough to try fix some of the problems myself. Thankyou very much and I look forward to more great content from yourself. Keep up the great work.
You chose the changes exactly as I would have! It looks amazing and it is an amazing car as a daily driver... and at the track. Soul does not come from the noise a car makes, it comes from seeing your competition in the rear view mirror and the people in your car that are smiling 😎
Alex you can live and follow your dream or let others define those things are you. Personally a Tesla isn't on my list of priorities but I respect your decision and wouldn't question your choice. Just continue being a good person, good husband, good father and be satisfied with the rewards that come with that. Beyond that, everything is gravy. Be safe, travel well, work hard and be grateful
These vendor partners you go to are amazing! The carbon fiber looks great and love the wheels!! As always I just spent 40+ minutes of my day watching your video and enjoying every doggone minute.😂😂😂Love your channel Alex- keep up the awesome work and thank you for sharing your vendor partners magic with us!
Thanks Kirk!! Appreciate that! Have a great weekend.

@@LegitStreetCars Sorry Alex I probably only watched a good 25 minutes of the video
@@ozzypawsborneprinceofbarkness I love that channel!
His content just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait until he has 1M subscribers, which seems inevitable, as that will ensure his long-term place in the CZcams pantheon as one of the very best in this category. Subscribe!
What an amazing transformation. The end results are fantastic!
The carbon fiber touches really makes it look super sweet!
I like how you did the badging, showing the chrome through. I did similar on the 5.0 and GT badges on my Mustang. I covered the flat surfaces with black vinyl, while leaving the edges chrome to give it some pop. The Tesla looks really good Alex!
We have been spoilt these past couple of days! Two videos in two days, thank you so much Alex 🙏🏾✨
Alex.. Absolutely perfect and beautiful. Nicest Tesla that I have ever seen. In my opinion it doesn't need any more carbon on it. The chrome window trim really sets off the side and gives the car a great balance. My only question is why didn't you go with ceramic coat all the way? Thanks for a great video!!!!!
Big agreement. The car looks totally stock - ie, it doesn't looked messed with. Looks factory finished to the nth degree.
Your Tesla looks great! Also think it’s awesome that you showcase various shops around Chicagoland so folks who live there can see what kind of work they do. Well done.
Alex, your encouraging me to have my Lotus Esprit wrapped!!! Thank you for the inside look! Can’t wait to see what’s next!!
Well done Alex 👍🏻 Great taste in placement of the carbon film 👍🏻 Kudos to the vendors on a great installation too 👍🏻 You hit this on out of the park 👍🏻 Looks Great 👍🏻
This model S looks so good. The only thing i would do more is make the chrome trim look like the black chrome in the wheels.
My thoughts exactly
The compliment of the carbon fiber coating with the wheels offset by the blue metallic is amazing. Perfect aesthetic, Alex. Love your channel. 👍🇮🇹
Awesome video as always, love that new rear end!
Thanks guys!
Alex may not like front license plates but many states require them.
My favorite part of this channel is the fact that you provide so much free information on how to do these things on your own, then you supply us with discount codes on all the parts needed to do these things! Dealerships gotta hate you 🤣
Personally, I LOVE the carbon fiber...and you've done it so tastefully! The cutout of the Tesla badge was well worth it and the roof was perfection. Your videos are so damn entertaining...Keep up the GREAT work, Alex.
Looks really good now. All it needs is tinted windows, slight tint on the tail lights, and wrap the red reflector electric plug in doors on both tail lights with gloss black wrap, and also wrap the rear red bumper reflectors with gloss black vinyl
I admire your patience. As a first time Ev and a Tesla owner, your videos are helping me to manage my expectations. Thanks
The PPF with the memory of going to back to no scratches reminds me of the Wirsboro pex water and heat lines that if you kink them while running them you can use a heat gun to straighten the line back out and the kink is pretty much gone
Looks great!
What I would change;
1. Wrap the mirrors
2. Remove or update the wood trim
3. Black suede headliner and Landau black pillars (I actually did this to my 1st Gen Scion xB)
I agree, at least to the first two points, but the order should be:
2. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wood trim is amazing. Hard to find these days and nothing compares to a good piece of wood trim. Replacing that would be an abomination
I'm so jealous of all your projects! you really have me wanting to buy my dream project car, an Audi S7 and get it corrected/coated and all that fun stuff! great vid, keep 'em coming!
As an old car restorer myself, I can say that you did a beautiful and very tasteful job on that car. Nice step by step video as well.
Hey Alex, my favorite car of yours is the Rolls Royce, tons of personality!!! The Tesla however is a good car & will make an excellent daily driver!!! 👍🙂
Yeah, not to be rude, but where the heck are the RR videos? 😁
Looks absolutely stunning 😍
Great video as always Alex. Your Tesla is sick! I love the color, all the little custom add ons and I love the wheels.
Best 43min in long time. As always.. love your content. Think your decision was so worthed. All the attention to detail. So enjoyed every sec!! 😁👍💯💯💯

Make the chrome surround around the side windows into "black chrome" like the 20" wheels. It's an impressive effect! Your wheel guys should be able to help you to do that.
Are you going to change your 18" or 19" winter wheels color from aluminum/chrome or not? What winter tires are you going to use?
Great job, Alex!! The transformation is transformative! Lol
Since you asked, if it were mine, I would carbon fiber the door handles, have the window chrome surround painted to match the wheels and smoke the side marker. Thats just me, it honestly is awesome how you have it, I just think it would be a step up to do the three other things on the side profile. Full disclosure though, I am not a fan of chrome on newer vehicles. Vehicles from the 20’s to late 50’s I love it but not so much the newer styles.
Hi Alex , just wanted to say I really liked this start to Finnish video format you do once in a while it’s pretty cool to see the whole project get Finnished!
Looks great. Messaged you about PPF recently on a Tesla too…guess I have my answer what to do.

Watching these guys polish the paint and install the ppf is amazing to me, it's really an art form.
The car looks awesome. Thanks for sharing. Chicago Auto Pros have some great people .
Wowww! Beautiful transformation Alex. I'd leave the window trim chrome. It looks perfect the way you have it now.
Everytime I see a notification from this channel I know I'm tuing in to a great vid.
Not a big TESLA fan, but this car is awesome. The paint fix plus the carbon fiber accents and wheels, MAN! 💯💯💯 Awesome videos as always, keep doing your thing!💯👍🏽
That is THE nicest Tesla I have ever seen! There are a lot in my city and I barely look at them twice but the carbon fiber and chrome looks great and the wheels make this one stand out. I would leave the handles and camera bezel chrome but carbon the window trim.
Wow, Congrats! Excellent video!
What a lovely ride!
I wonder if you're planning to coat the 19" wheels as well, they would probably look nearly as good in the same colour as the 21" ones.
Favorite vid so far, do more Tesla vids please
Amazing work, love it!
Great video and subject. Love the work with the carbon fibre wrap. Keep up the good work Alex.
What a nice project! Great job on making it look pristine with your own edge. How about giving that gloss black diffuser some carbon fiber as well?
Not a bad idea!
I wonder if the older glass is stronger than the newer stuff Tesla uses? On my model y the full glass roof has needed replaced twice, due to a rock flinging off a semis tire. So annoying how easily it cracks!
Anyways, the subtle changes really transformed the look!
That would have to be irritating.
Great video and great job you did on this car Guys!! Just Perfetc!!
Alex, as always great video. Please don't change. The channel is perfect. Also cool to see the guys at Chicago Auto Pro's using the Colourlock products. Have been using that stuff for years now, and it is the best. Cheers 👍🏻🇳🇱
alex: hey look my new tesla has supercharging
Tesla HQ after watching this video with unauthorized repairs: lol, not anymore you don't
That's what I was thinking. He did have supercharging. Once they learned he os friends with Rich, that was going to be gone anyways.
$50K?
Drag race between this and your Trans Am? Could be interesting.....
On the street to about 80 the Tesla would win just due to traction. At the track the TA would win
The transformation looks awesome! You asked for suggestions, I think if the chrome piece on the front fenders that houses the side camera can be wrapped in the black carbon PPF that will tie it off with the front and rear accents. Leave the rest of the chrome as-is
This is really great! Thank you for sharing!
The chrome on the sides is a bit much for me, but maybe there's a way to make it match the wheels. I think that would look great!
Yeah, put on chrome wheels. haha. JK, I can't stand chrome.
I'm only just now watching this and...it did not in fact hold its value like you thought it would. I just checked prices
Yes Tesla prices dropping like a hookers drawers
@ 33:30 It was so worthwhile to watch Chicago Auto pros in action they are the best of the best.
Super great video
Great job! I am having my Tesla with the wrap. Can’t wait to get it back.
I thought Illinois required front plates?
I'm in AZ and love the fact you don't need them.
They do
They're pretty strict about it in Chicago, outside of the city they really don't pay mind to no front plates. Unless it's a state trooper.
@@MaxBeecher yup yup, or if you’re acting like a hooligan, or encounter a very bored policeman
I’d wrap the woodgrain panels on the dash with that carbon wrap too!
Great Video! One of your best!
Hey Alex, Congrats for your new ride, it really looks awesome!
Hey Alex - car looks just like mine, but I have a slow 2017 100D. I might suggest blacking out the chrome around the windows, rocker panels, and the door handles to give it a pseudo Plaid look. Those dudes in Chicago did a fantastic job! Keep up the great videos and watch your speed!
You're 100% right about Teslas having no soul but it's a price worth paying - mostly. I'm selling my P85D after 6 months of ownership. I bought it for my wine tour company and I just can't handle all of the build quality issues! I loved driving the car, though!
Please elaborate on the build quality issues you experienced
They are well known to have dodgy build quality, and the styling is um rather dated.
Peeling clear coat, bad body panel gaps, failing rubber seals. A few other things went wrong in the 6 months but nothing out of the ordinary - replaced charge door, replaced turn signal stalk, replaced window regulator.
The Newer 100Ds are supposed to have improvements in the build quality. Tesla decided to paint bumpers without a primer, just directly paint over the plastics. It peels very easily.
Really cool video. Enjoy seeing Tesla content and the variety on your channel in general.
Looks awesome Alex! I think you should wrap the chrome around the windows and the door handles in CF wrap too.
Cool ride and actually quite a bargain. Just give it to Rich to rebuild….errr….ruin…..errrr who am I kidding he never finishes a project……. In all seriousness well done as always man. Looks fantastic.
Yesterday Samcrac using Rich as an example of CZcams not showing dislikes any longer and now Alex using clips of Rich to get likes , Alex knows what works
Alex, good video! You seem to always creat great videos with a purpose. How I found your channel was a volt video and have been hooked since, keep making electric car videos it's the future. Gas cars for the weekend are fine too.
Awesome video Alex!!!!
I just bought a 18 Model 3 Performance a few days ago, and it is insane!!! Gotta love these Teslas!!
They are pretty sweet!
If you were to offer me a brand new 2022 Tesla or a 20 year old AMG with 200K miles, I'd take the AMG. Tesla's are like a plastic appliance, no soul.
I love to see someone properly lube brake pads like your supposed to! Nice work!
