Geralt's sword on Yennefer's neck was the most powerful scene and statement of this season. A single action that summed up everything Geralt stands and fights for, uncompromising sense of justice.
No, this scene makes no sense. Yennefer wants to have a child. So the writers decide that she will sacrifice the child who belongs to the man she loves. This plot was just a cheap trick to shock the audience. I'm so angry they write yen character this way.
@@JanKowalski-th5re I understand your feelings on the matter and I was annoyed too, but from a point of view of Yen's character development and growth, psychologically and philosophically it made sense. Her betrayal was the final push toward finding herself and her real purpose and her self-sacrifice was her redemption of all of her sins including the betrayal of the only man she ever loved. She concluded her character growth story this season, she is 'whole' and has a noble purpose, Geralt too, so next season we can focus on Ciri because she still has a whole lot of growing up to do. Perfect end to an almost perfect season of adventure, I'm happy.
@@JanKowalski-th5re Yeah I'm annoyed to. But think about this. That demon had some sort of control over Yennefer. Had Yennefer been thinking clearly. She never would've done such a thing. We see her trying to fight the whispering. Plus she didn't know Ciri. Now she does and like Geralt has grown attach to her. Ciri brought the light life back into her life where she no longer cared if she got her powers back. Her noble sacrifice for Ciri gave her back her powers. Now next season will focus on Ciri being train and protected by her adopted parents Yennefer and Geralt. Geralt will train Ciri in combat some more to make her the best fighter she can be. Yennefer will train Ciri on spells and help her control her Chaos rather than for her to be control by her Chaos. Season 3 will hopefully be even better full of family moments like Yennefer and Ciri bonding and action scenes.
