How to fix fiesta mk7 passenger window switch. Problem with passenger window not working with the switch on one side? EASY FIX taking less than 10 minutes.
Great video. There are other videos on CZcams saying you have to remove the entire door panel. This method will save me 15-20 minutes. Thanks for posting!
@@techclub8528 found them mate on wish thankyou have you got a link for the switch checked Ebay the cheapest I see is 37 pound but can get one for 12 pound the connector on back where its yellow is red tho on the switch but its 6 pin so do you think it will work think it's just a copy of the original
I'm not sure I purchased a second hand switch off ebay that must of been taken off a car that was broken for parts. Don't remember how much I paid but maybe around £20
Thank you, I had a rear window stuck down after watching it occured to me that I could swap the switches and try, sure enough the window went up using the switch from the front. Just need to source a new one now and keep the kids from putting it down in the mean time, regards from Thailand
Wife's car had the same problem I removed the switch to check the part number. I gave the inside of the switch a good soaking with WD 40 and operated the switch a few times to clean the swich contacts. Hey presto the switch worked perfectly . Would probably been better with electical contact cleaner, but all I had to hand was WD40. Worked for me so has to be worth a try.
I've just bought a fiesta metal edition and the passenger button Is lose and not clipped in place as you show and think the previous owner may have broke it and I've bought it not noticing

How do I fix it secur9
With my car the switch works to put the window up but not down, would it be the same as this? Just replace the switch?
If you can find a switch cheap enough to try it out might save a few pounds.
@@techclub8528 yeah I’ll just give it a go. Won’t be that expensive I guess
@@snpxmotionzx3211 Hey, was this the fix for you? I Just got the same car and have the same fault :D
@@justinbuckley honestly I never got around to doing it so I don’t know. It’s the passenger side in mine so it’s never effected me
@@snpxmotionzx3211 Fair enough mate, I may just ignore it honestly its something I will never user lol
And mechanics charge 200 to 300 dollars for this? What a bunch of crooks
That's not a fix that's just replacing the switch
yes that fixed my issue, I couldn't do the window up as the switch was broken, it only worked in one direction. New switch fixed the problem
Exactly... It fixed the issue you were having with your window. You did not fix the switch you only replaced the switch.
