Funny thing... I saw Skillet live in an outdoor venue 11 years ago and it was POURING. Their pyrotechnics were INCREDIBLE. No joke the craziest concert I've ever been to and I've seen Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold.

I just have seen them in concert at the Creation festival in Shirley, PA June 29th. Hero was the first video I stumbled on to when I was recovering from surgery. It changed me!!! Their songs had a major impact on me that got me through some tough times. The rest is history.

The beauty of Skillets music is that they rarely ever reference their Christianity in the music. Most of their songs are written in such a way that you can interpret it into your own way, which makes their music so relatable and lets them transcend past the "Christian rock" label

These are the people who take an oath that they will place their lives on the line in order to save others, and protect the people who cannot protect themselves. This song was a massive tribute to those everyday "heroes" in our society.
