Which console do you feel had the best final games? Or the worst? Which consoles should I have in the next installment of this topic? What is your favorite color? How are you? What is 14x3?
Next time, SEGA Saturn dude.
Everyone knows the answer to that, 17!
CPS2, as that ends as it begun; With Hyper Street Fighter 2: anniversary edition. failing that, the Neo Geo AES for Samurai Showdown V Special, I guess.
The problem with this premise is that if you go much later on the timeline, you threaten John Madden or HORRIBLE shovelware being the bookend for your console. heck, that's EXACTLY what happened with several consoles on this very episode.
Wow the mado Mono I music is excellent
Ps1/Ps2. NES for sure, Ps1/Ps2. Purple. Im okay. 42.
'SCHNI-SCHNA Schnappie' was a number 1 hit throughout northern Europe for weeks. You've brought the nightmares back, thanks
Still better than Cardi B.
I had the same feeling when PewDiePie blasted Rosa Helikopter a couple years ago.
The song is in my head now 😅

That's what she said.
Joe barrelling through the Japanese language with an over the top American accent gives me life. Tate Mode 4ever
7:02 Tec Toy is separate from Sega in the sense that they're different companies yes, but they were the official distributors of Sega console and games in Brazil.
As for Duke Nukem 3D, it's true that they didn't get the rights from 3D Realms directly, but they did get them from GT Interactive which had distribution rights, so yes, it's an official game.
I thought they still were, and the main reason the Master System is still going strong to this day?
@@Chaos89P They do indeed still actively sell the Master System in Brazil (and the Mega Drive a few years ago as well), I mostly used the past tense because they don't release any new Sega games in Brazil ever since the Dreamcast died, they just stick with those 2, haha.
Randy Pitchfork doesn't like this.
There are errors though in this video regarding last games. Wish he'd done a little more research.
Just when I thought I was staying up too late, I'm rewarded with this video.

Okay, so that 'Tate mode' bit was way funnier than it had any right to be. Thanks Joe haha
Every time he mentions Tate mode, he finds ways to make it more over the top, and I love it.
@@angry_ike7628 Maybe put the TATE'd screen on the 2001 Monolith next time lol, with jumping monkeys and space babies
Joe was the only person who made me think about the word "tate" in the first place
Go tate mode! Go tate mode!
I still laugh when I see Joe has thumbs down his own YT videos when he shows footage of his old videos. One of my favorite running jokes on this channel.
@Benjamin Owuye Jagun I think you're underestimating how little value some people give to their own opinions. I think most people realise they are involuntarily spouting a load of drivel but they still sniff it as if it's made of their own farts and it makes them joyous 🤣
I would say about 90% of Joe's humour surrounds poking fun at that sort of thing too! He's made a whole career out of it too, he has no end of inspiring characters lol when it comes to stupid mug comments.
I read one about how he should feel ashamed that nobody gets to enjoy his collection and he should sell it all!! LOL I was rolling about that one. Hope you were too Joe!
@ROFOLOFLOLO you know it's the end when you're walking back from Tesco and pass two young girls who's conversation was this : (earlier today)
girl : "See you can hear the autotune!!! What an amateur, she can't have a million fans!"
girl2 : "She does it's there on her Wikipedia page!"
girl : ** IS TALKING ABOUT HER MUM **
🤣🤣🤣 Imagine treating your mother like a celebrity you can't stand just because she's released a comedy song for charity; and you are jealous of her for it.
@ROFOLOFLOLO it's the likes thing!
This girl must have been about 12 man, I know her mum she's a local she's got about 200 likes on a page with a single crappy song on it, she did for charity.
I thought the daughter should be proud!! But she was jealous, talking the mum into the ground for using autotune lol like she can afford such a thing.
@ROFOLOFLOLO Yeah dude it's pretty dismal, though I think it has always been the same way.
80% of people follow whatever is told to them, and usually what is told to people works out well. We are in a funny time, though I don't expect it to last much longer. People don't know who to listen to, and so they choose even worse idols than were given to them.
Fortunately the funny time isn't anything too drastic - in time society will work it out I truly believe that 👌 People will stop revelling on likes and stupid menial crap like that.
Don’t worry guys, the powers that be are in the process of taking away the thumbs down entirely. Creators need to feel ‘safe’
The NES Lion King is also infamous for being an unfinished port of the Game Boy version, abruptly stopping at the Hakuna Matata level and missing half of the game. Even the Master System version was a full port
Fun fact: that Frogger port for Genesis was made by one guy, who used an arcade ROM dumped into the Internet and early Genesis emulator Genecyst for the development.
Funny, it seems to be more then just the emulated arcade rom tho. Some of the bugs from the original seems to be fixed in the Mega Drive version..
@Lassi Kinnunen 81 Not really.
Emulators with debuggers have pretty much the same features as the ICE debuggers etc.. and if you have access to the ROMs you can see the graphical data etc in a pixel perfect manner or even just convert em.
The part that totally sucks using an emulator is the imprecision, specially on early stuff like the genecyst. it's pretty easy to end up with a thing that only runs on the emulator.
@Lassi Kinnunen 81 Back then you probably could already find some techdocs on the mega drive on the internet and a 68000 assembler (if not a C compiler).
And if the dude had some background in Amiga/Atari ST programming, it would be quite easier.
But those techdocs from back then were full of speculation and guess work as well, so the biggest stumbles would be to do things the real genesis don't like.
@Lassi Kinnunen 81 I imagine at very least doing a "set the registers i don't know about exactly like x game" would be wise.
What's fun about that?
joe seems to just pump endless game content out of his sack
i like innuendo
As a man should.
in the words of Archer: ''Euh, phrasing!'' lol
buncha sack-pumpers around here I tell u whut

Puyo Puyo was actually a spinoff of Madou Monogatari from 1990. The spinoff was more successful than the OG game just like Persona.
well the Madou Monogatari games never made it outside Japan until the sorta reboot Sorcery Saga on PSVita and Steam, so let's give them the benefit of the doubt
also, Puyo Puyo barely worked in the West until Puyo Puyo Tetris came out, and then when Nintendo brought several earlier Puyo Puyo games on the NSO SNES app
also also, Shin Megami Tensei was more successful than Persona until P4 and P5 were milked to death and outsold its parent series
@@martinde-serres8724 I would love for someone to make an English translation for it.

@@souleymanediawara7714 Haha 😂 even six years after the console was discontinued
@@souleymanediawara7714 which I bet many of it just for Playstation console family.
Craig Staedler's PGA will never leave my Saturn collection. I love using it as my Japanese test disc. People are always in awe of his sheer athleticism.
I have a soft spot for Frogger on the Genesis, and I think it came out at just the right time. The Frogger episode of Seinfeld came out around the same year, and it's the last port that had the real arcade music, plucked from later ports due to licensing issues. The Super NES game never did much for me... if I wanted an enhanced Frogger, I'd enter the Konami code on Konami Arcade Classics for the Game Boy Advance.
While watching this I myself wondered if it was a coincidence that these Frogger games both came out just months after the now infamous Seinfeld episode.
I remember the dissapointment when I realized that the SNES died with Frogger, I mean, Capcom made the amazing port of Street Fighter Alpha 2 while every other developer was desperately trying to scrub the last few dollars from the system's owners with sloppy ports of ancient games. In my mind, that's the last game for the SNES, a honorable farewell to an amazing system.
While you may not have gotten far in it, Metal Slader Glory: Director’s Cut is actually an amazing game along with it’s Famicom predecessor. The original game on the Famicom is considered the largest Famicom title on the system and was ahead of it’s time with it’s graphics and animations. There’s also a fan translation of the Famicom version for anyone that wants to play it
I wish the SFC version had a translation :(
From what I’ve heard from another translation of the NES version, a fan translation of the SFC port is being made
The last games on consoles have always seemed intriguing to me. Great video Joe!
At first glance, I thought the title read: "The Last Official Game Sack." My heart sank and was rejuvenated all in a moment's time. I wonder if this is the kind of thing that leads to heart attacks.
Only bootleg Game Sacks in the future!
@@GameSack Don't worry I have been working on a sackulation we can all use when that happens.

@@GameSack TecToy Game Sacks... Someone call St1ka for comment
Tec Toy was pretty official. I remember when they done a port of Street Fighter 2 to the SMS and flew to Japan to demo it for permission to release it and Capcom was amazed.
Capcom themselves did achieve similar impressivr feats with the SFII port to the PC Engine.
@@mattia1026That wasn't that impressive I still think the genesis and snes ones were way better.
@@maxxdahl6062 The PC Engine is an 8/16bit hybrid. Both Genesis and SNES are fully 16bit. It would be as if the Wii had its own version of GTA V and it wasn't a massive downgrade from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
The skit there at the end was excellent. Overall the entire episode was smooth like butter! Never stop, Joe. Unless you get tired and need to moisturize your sack a little!
I used the phrase “Tate Mode” after learning it from you, and I got called out for not pronouncing it “Tah-tay”.
They should feel bad. Not you.
@@GameSack c'mon joe... this has always sounded like a personal "thing" with you... like you got called out and made a fool of in person for not knowing or something and now everyone has to suffer...but clearly, you now call gaiden "guy-den" instead of "gayden" and rigthfully remind its tengen not tenjin, and im sure there are dozens of other examples ... but this... This should be a fun episode for Joe, considering quite a few times a system's last game is a John Madden game.
Ewwww
Feels like every console ends with Madden now.
FIFA*
Or a FIFA game or a PES game
You misspelled FIFA there, buddy.
but Madou Manogatari I IS fun, you use magic spells as you would hadoukens and whatnots in that there fighting game, and Arle's face IS the life bar, plus the puzzles are inventive and ahead of their time, and it's been translated into English last year, so I would suggest you give it another go sometime, 'cause it might be the best version/remake of the first game from that series!
THIS ☝🏻
Loving the game too. The way speelcasting is like playing Street fighter is awesome. Once you learn some Spells and get a little practices it becomes an awesome magic spam fest!
If you pause the game in battle, you can see the list of skills you've already learned. If I'm not wrong Arle starts knowing Fire and Icestorm like in every other game of the series.
Street Fighter button commands? oh now that i know this i'm gonna do a lot better, i had no idea about that, maybe i should've looked up a guide. lol
You can dodge and block, too. It's just frustrating at first because your character is so weak lol

4:31 The main Heroine is so overly happy about this whole dungeon crawling situation 😃
Madou Monogatari is a fave of mine that recently got a patch
And for starters, Joe. The Fire spell is done by holding A and doing the Zangief piledriver motion clockwise and then releasing A. Ice Storm is counter-clockwise to the left
In fact, there's an in-game move list, but since you played it raw, I can see why ya had issues
Ah, the MD version has a fan translation now? That's cool, I played the Game Gear version with the English patch
...amusingly, the digitised voices actually sound much higher quality on GG than they do on MD
@@TenshiCat It was last year
This is a great topic. Everyone knows their favorite consoles launch games but no one knows the consoles last game.
1995 was the last year the NES had any games released.
Five years later, the Playstation 2 comes out. The jump in tech in such a small time frame is just so crazy.
Amazing to see Nintendo releasing NES games in late 1994, that is over a year before the N64 came out, crazy
I got my nes around that time. it was hard to find any games in stores, though. our town only had ONE store carrying around 3-4 games for it at most.
I don't often comment but I always love your videos and jokes. The "we all be soft for Ubisoft" really got me this time haha

To put Metal Slater Glory’s release into context, the game came out less than a year before the GameCube launched in Japan.
That End skit tho XD XD XD.
If you do another one of these, I would like to see the last games for N64, Sega CD, Turbografx 16 and the Master System!
Expected every entry to be Madden or Fifa.
Thps 3 was a great close to the n64

My friends in college who took German class use to sing that schnappi song all the time. Never thought I'd hear it anywhere else, or even know what it was from
Man that Schnappi game sure gave me PTSD-flashbacks from the time that song was all over Germany. I´ll never forget that hook. I guess no one who heard it once does. Thanks Joe.
Great vid as always Joe. Whenever you come back to this subject again, I'd be curious to see some coverage on the N64 and Saturn to finish off the remaining 5th gen systems that mattered. Handhelds would be interesting too like the PSP and Vita since they are complete opposites when it came to consistent support throughout their shelf life.
the last officially released Saturn game is pretty obvious: Magic Knight Rayearth
@@GiordanDiodato The last game to be released on Saturn was Deep Fear in the UK.
I don't know if it's been done before, but what a great idea for a video! It's always interesting to see what came out towards the end, and how much they had been able to really use the platform to it's highest potential (not that they always did).
I used to use that pic for my profile. Good taste, my fellow short man.
Yes, has been done. But this topic deserved a Gamesack Treatment

Great episode as always! I do kind of wish you had covered the Master System & PC Engine/TG-16 tho as they were definitely two major consoles at the time, even if they were a bit less appreciated than the ones covered here.
I think he purposefully left out those consoles since he recently did episodes where he reviewed every game released for them in North America.

Happy Valentines Day. Here’s a hockey game
Holy shit, I had totally forgotten about playing T&P's Jungle Games, that pinball screen brought back memories of playing it on PC at my grandma's 20+ years ago
I read: "I totally forgot that my PC grandma shit on a pinball game 20 years ago." Man, I gotta get my eyes checked.
I nearly lost it laughing at tate mode. Awesome video as always :D
There were games released to the Brazilian Mega Drive after Duke Nukem 3D. Show do Milhão 2, for example, was released in 2002. It is an official release, with cartridge and all (before Tec Toy moved on to strictly digital releases in their later mega drive revisions).
Gamesack literally said , “ it’s 2am? Here’s a reason for you to stay up even longer”
On Black Matrix, you need to select the first option in the menu that is "move", define where you want your character to be, then select the action, it's mostly like FF Tactics. Personally, I think Shining Force games are better, the command "move" is not necessary, basically you'll always want to move your char 99% of the time anyways, if you don't want to move, just press the action button and select what you want to do, but those that prompts you to select "move" are needlessly bureaucratic.
PS: As a Brazilian, you're not far off thinking Tec Toy doesn't feel official. They were good representing SEGA from the early 90's until the end of the Saturn, besides that, they're mostly amateurish, really, specially the "games" they tried to make. I commend them for translating Phantasy Star to Portuguese, as well as dubbing and translating all scenes and text in Riven, the voice actors did a great job on that. It's kind of rare they made something software or even hardware-wise notable.
That ending skit was high art
Yes. We need more hentai golf games starring doughy middle aged guys. Its an untapped market.
Dude! The one thing I've always seeking for on the net. A list of totally must have games throughout different consoles for say 25 years! A quarter of a century! That's heavy.
This episode was really good. Hopefully you'll do some other consoles a few episodes from now.
Hopefully he goes to the dentist and finds out about the legend of the tooth brush.
I love that you upload videos on sundays.
So you can watch in church?
OMFG! I would have NEVER believed that I would see Schnappi in a Game Sack video. Joe, you‘ve got to know that Schnappi is a one-hit-wonder that was made back then in 2004 by a German „artist“ (if you dare to call her an artist). It was suddenly all over the place in Germany. I was in my twenties back then and I was asking myself if the whole world has suddenly gone nuts. I can‘t believe they actually made a game out of the only song, the artist has ever been popular for. I burried it deep in my darkest corners of my brain which never should be touched again. Thanks for bringing it up, Joe!
That ending was amazing.
Would you count Starfox 2’s release on the SNES Classic as the final officially released game? I honestly could see arguments for and against.
My opinion: it was never released on the SNES, so it doesn't count.
There are new games still being released legit for SNES on both cartridge and download only (for Everdrives and emulation). They don't carry any Nintendo branding because they don't license SNES games anymore. If we're talking about unlicensed games, even the Atari 2600 is still a current console
This was a really good idea for a video! Way more interesting than launch titles at this point (at least when it comes to the major consoles.) Doing a video on last released games for hand helds could be fun.

For those japanese games theres an app on the phone that takes pictures of text and translates it to english.
Papago is pretty decent. It is much better than Google translate for Japanese & Korean => English
"I never expected the Super NES to end its life in a pile of text" - You gotta give the SNES extra points for consistency. It died the same way it lived.
