Ready to paint your first street art mural? Or are you an artist moving into painting walls from smaller works? Then you need this video! This is my top 10 things you don't know you need to know before painting murals!
I'm going to be going over some surprising tips that you just don't know unless you've painted a wall already - I'll be discussing paint fading, different types of anti-graffiti coatings, wall preparation, should you clear-coat your mural and more! - Jak na to + styl
Preparing wall is most inportant I agree then I seal the wall with 2 coats of exteria PVA glue watered down 30%. When you can't project an image on site use large piece of paper then project image on to that using blackboard coloured chalk. Tape it to wall then transfer image using pressure. Chalk lines are easy painted over. Results are allways great. These are my methods of been a sign writer artist that I'm glad to share.
Ooh! Yes! These are excellent points! Thanks!
Thanks for this! Embarking on my first ever mural project soon. 🙏🏾
OMG am I going to be able to do this! I have a projector, two of them, but zero experience. Ugggh.
Yoooooo, I'm so glad I found you (one of the top options, good job SEO)! I've been doing chalk art & menus for 7yrs, shifted to include paint soon after, and was asked to do my FIRST outdoor mural this month. I knew there was way more that I needed to know before embarking - this video helped validate some hurtles I had already considered, and shed a light on many more. You rock. Already subscribed

GReat Advice. Thank you!
I'm sure you know this but another good tip for getting that pattern on the wall in a tight situation ,it could be projected onto paper and then pounced I know it's old school but it works and thanks for the tip on the too much detail I've been doing this one we're all that people are just going to be super close-up on and I questioned all the time if I was putting too much detail into it but anything that you had to get on scaffolding to see I made sure to just make it look good practiced good brushstroke memory but didn't nit pick it to the death. I watched the video looking for tips for top coating. I've never talked to her in an indoor mural before either. But this is any yogurt shop in a high-traffic area with a lot of kids, so graffiti isn't really a problem, but it's going to be cleaned up constantly. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Have a great day. Thanks for your video.
you don't have closed captions available. You might have a great video but I will never know.
Do interior walls need prepped? And do you still use exterior paint inside?
Hello,
Do you have any videos on corrugated steel siding? Thku
Any experience with samples versus pints/quarts. Sherwin Williams said the samples do not have the same preservatives in the paint as the wall paint. 🤷🏻♀️ will that make a difference on an inside mural?
Bonjour Fiedley, je suis Français et j'adore ton aura.
Hello. would you need a protective coat for a mural on wood?
Choosing the correct roller for the specific surface. Smooth metal requires a different roller than rough concrete or stucco for example.
This! Such a good point... I'm guilty of using whatever roller I have in the shed 😬
I miss your videos 😪
I have a question so my bedroom's wall is oil based and l plan to paint it on with acrylic paint does it required coating to get a smooth and waterproof surface or should. Skip the coating section?
your acrylic paint is water based, so its going to fight with the oil based paint. I use a primer undercoat that will paint ontop of the oil coat and allow acrylic to stick. Your local hardware/paint shop will be able to help you out no sweat 😎
how did you get started painting murals?
Good question! Sorry for this late reply, I was offered a wall to paint for free, then did a bunch of very low paid or free walls until I started to get paid work.
Many thanks to Fieldy's Art,
This is really very useful information before starting any mural,
Kindly create subtitles for the following videos as a humble request,

My daughter loves watching your channel we have one too you should come see us. 😊😊😊
Tip 11! Don't do anything until you get a non refundable down payment.
I just wear big a$$ headphones and tune out the audience lol
The most important part: if you go over graffiti or put some neo-liberal lgbt-anti-white messaging: graffiti kids are going to destroy your mural.
