The first clip, kudos to the removal truck driver for protecting the car and going to assist. 👍
About to say the same myself. Good job on that, bad job on people paying attention.
Yeah fair play to 'Smart Carriers - House and Office Removals Watford' if you ever need stuff moving!
Came here to say the same. In a world where people rather drive by taking photos its refreshing to see the wagon driver use his size to protect the car. A credit to his company.
bit to close to protect.
Would not have needed to if all and sundrey would carry out their scanning of the road ahead though instead of joining the 2 foot in front of themselves brigade.
I will NEVER understand why, when following a minor bump, people think it is acceptable to just stop in the middle of an active lane to exchange details.
And there was a fatal accident in Hong Kong some weeks ago, which was exactly the same situation...
The drivers just stopped at the middle line and got out of their cars to exchange details. A moment later, a HGV couldn't stop in time and one driver was killed...
Here is the dash cam footage (viewer discretion is advised)

Brainless morons.
Was looking for this comment, so glad the likes are with it. The guy straddling lanes 1+2 apart from trying to get his family killed is totally clueless. Not paying attention caused the collision and then wandering around like he’s at a car boot sale in 2 live lanes of traffic. I think this is a new take on god’s waiting room.
Lots of dash cam videos where this happens. Instead of driving to a suitable rescue lay-by they will stop on an active motorway. Really dangerous.
@@eddherring4972 wandering around like he's at a car boot sale 😂
5:47 Getting rear ended while watching a drug deal take place. You'd be livid.
fewmin!
"Good man" to the lorry driver on the first clip, who stopped his vehicle to protect the stranded Citroen, and then got out to see if they needed help.
Stranded Shitroen! 🤣
I doubt it was ‘stranded’. Certainly looked drivable but the twit decided to park it across an active lane.
4:45 Pretty sure Jade is going around 45-50mph in a 30 zone. Absolutely no way was that 30. No use of brakes either or hazard perception. Contender to be COTW
Silly cow is what she is
2:28 I hope the authorities caught up with the minibus driver.

05:46. Drug deal.
What I thought as well.
100%!!!
Rather looked that way.

Jim's a bit up himself at 1:49... Merc was a bit of a plank for hitting the kerb but was on the roundabout WAAAY before Jim. No way would I have taken offence at that, and I would simply have adjusted my own speed to slip round comfortably behind him.
Merc failed to give way to traffic already on the roundabout approaching from the right, that is a motoring offence.
@george-ev1dq Except Merc was on the roundabout well beforehand, so it would be very hard to prove. You're right in what you say, but Jim was nowhere near "already on the roundabout "...
The Highway Code tells you on a roundabout to give way to the RIGHT. Whoever is “on it” first is totally irrelevant
@@garybacon7629Wrong. Traffic already on the roundabout has priority over traffic not yet joined, regardless. The roundabout is treated as a separate road and most have Give Way markings on the entrance to them.
@@garybacon7629 Then we get to the vexed question as to what point is the driver coming from the right far enough back that you DON'T have to give way? Is it somebody who's just sailing over the horizon like Cap'n Jack Sparrow; is it somebody just short of the line, but making like Lewis Hamilton? Most people will vary their interpretation according to what suits them at the time - and therein lies the problem; it's all subjective. Toss into the mix people who will lean on the horn to protect their perceived priority, and is it any wonder that you get heated conflict? You're not factually wrong; you're just taking the Jim's view without considering the individual circumstances. He was some way back from the line, and barely inconvenienced.
We all want to get home safe to put families. If someone pulls out on you. Instead of aiming for them just lift off the accelerator or tap the brakes a little and go home and see your family and friends
Amen, plus there's a lot of 'making a drama out of a crisis' in some clips, because it's 'good footage'.
1:25 If that Merc had swerved half a second earlier he'd have launched himself up the Armco and into low earth orbit
😂😂😂😂
That collision on the M6 looked like it was done on purpose.. The way the transit van drives into the truck.. No way he didn't see that..
Unless the idiot thought the indicator means everyone should just disappear - watch out they are out there!
That's what I thought.
It didn't look like the transit driver was stopping afterwards either.
It's a minibus driver, down there with taxi drivers and tipper drivers for driving responsibly.
Blind spot
@RichardJones73 😂 are you making excuses for a shit driver?
3:24 That street looks like hell !!!
Funnily enough, it is called 'Hell Street', how did you know? Further down is 'Satan's Armpit Crescent' & then 'Hades Close'. I avoid...
As soon as i saw that clip i thought it looked like one of those countries where you don't need to pass a driving test !
2:19 probably the worst clip I’ve ever seen on here, causes a potential fatal accident and fucks off into the distance. Unreal
I'm going to contrast Sean (6:38) and Connor (6:46) - Sean sees a hazard, reduces their speed and pays close attention until they are sure it is safe to proceed. Connor misses the warning signs, uses their horn to chastise the other driver and then accelerates without considering whether or not the hazard has passed. It's a good pair of "How to approach hazards" vs "How not to approach hazards" videos.
Jade doing 40 plus in a 30 then has the cheek to horn..🔔🔚
Anyone joining the carriageway has to make sure it is safe to do so.
@clout621 this is obvious however Jade is clearly trying to achieve escape velocity on a residential street which is dangerous af
@@clout621 would've been safe if Jade was driving within the law
@@clout621 Part of the reason speed limits are in place is so people have time to pull out of junctions.
It's not that she was doing 40, it's her shockingly slow reaction. She could easily have slowed.
The first clip really was in no way the cammer fault, that's just really bad luck.
However, the fact everyone was swerving to avoid a crash is because the majority of people in that clip are WAY too close for the speed they were doing. Dashcam's typically distort things to look further away than they are in reality and they are still too close. There is not enough space to stop at that speed so people have to make the choice: crash into the thing in front of you or swerve into an active lane of traffic.
Even the cammer is not giving enough space, it didn't contribute to the accident but it's still taking a gamble that you can completely avoid.
You don't get anywhere faster by being up the arse of another car because if you're behind them, you're still only ever going to go as fast as they are. There is literally no benefit, you can see less, you have to react to everything quicker and you give less options to the cars around you.
Well said, unfortunately there's way too many people who are just not capable of understanding this.
Not just this one, in Ahmad's clip too.
Yep tailgaiting seems to be the way forward for about 70% of drivers now, just dont get it.
@@GG-ml3vrI’d say more like 90%. Happens to me all the time. From now on, I’m just starting to go slower and slower
I ease off, I don't hit the brakes. If they want to follow in a 20mph braking distance, 20mph we will do.
The roads are getting more and more dangerous by the day. No one cares or takes responsibility anymore
In 40 + years of driving, I have never found a dangerous road. The only danger is the retard drivers.
Society is breaking down
Calm down the pair of you
It's not that bad. There have always been idiots on our roads, we only see and hear about it more because of these clips. Most of the time you don't encounter anyone doing anything worse than failing to indicate.
@@japsniper1980 There have, but the thing that's making it worse is the roads are getting busier and more congested
Minor bump , but hey let’s stop across 2 lanes and get out on a busy road and walk around
I was a driving instructor in the 1970s and we had dual controls, plus took control of the steering if necessary. I’m wondering if it was the instructor driving whilst under the influence of something? If it was a pupil I’d change driving instructor asap!
6:45 - Chandelie-heee, Chande-lee-HEEEHHH! FOOKIN' 'ELL! >_
🤣 I guess the Citroen driver didn't "Sia"
A driving instructor tried to teach my auntie to drive, and gave up after one lesson, saying he couldn't teach a student who couldn't steer. The instructor at 7:25 is obviously made of sterner stuff!
Or someone was unfit to drive.
Any instructor worth their salt would have terminated that lesson, I suspect it's the instructor on his way home from the pub!!

Ah ha.....the infamous Helter Skelter bridge in the first clip, aka Chalfont viaduct. I recall that Autoshenanigans did a piece on that. Used to be "Give Peas A Chance" or something before. Anyway, a bit trivia for you, now back to the auto chaos!

7:30 I wonder if the instructor was looking at the phone, managing his/her diary, or even sleeping at the moment... 🤨
Plot twist. It was the instructor driving after a five pint liquid lunch
@@tricky1581 I think you are right there. There is no way a pupil with that little skill was taken out on a busy public road when it is starting to get darker.
@@BigDavie2000 My test was on 8:15am of a weekday and it was in the middle of winter. My instructor arranged all my lessons to start at 7am from the very beginning.
Maybe the instructor was doing the same thing as well, that is let the learner to get used to drive in busy traffic and in darkness ASAP?...
@@CaptainHoratioPugwash AP here - I did actually send the clip to the police because I don't think the instructor was in sufficient control. Pretty sure it was a learner... 2 occupants, a young person driving.
01:48 you can see the Merc is completely on the roundabout before you entered. So that means you give way, also helps not to aim to drive over the roundabout just to try to make it worse.
If he have just gone around the roundabout, he would have just driven around the back of the Merc and been on his way without incident.
Literally doesn't matter. If entering impedes traffic from the right, you don't enter. I don't know where you fools get this completely wrong idea from...

4:25 All other drivers: "WHERE'S THE AIR RECYCLE BUTTON???"
Watching these videos I now know why to insure my car in the UK would cost me 100% more.
The UK is no worse than any other country and has safer roads than most. 🤔
OP: And it IS costing 100% more right now. UK car insurance costs have skyrocketed recently. However that is *mainly* down to car theft rather than driving standards. UK car theft is absolutely frightening atm due to keyless entry relay theft and OBD2 key cloning theft. It's so scary to the point where I don't even trust the faraday pouches anymore and actually split my Focus ST key in half to separate the battery and prevent keyless theft - as for the OBD2 key cloning theft - have just ordered a dummy (but partially live) OBD2 port also. As a last resort I'm even thinking about a bollard for the driveway. Yep, it's gotten THAT bad in the UK **sigh** 😟

2:23 I sincerely hope that wasn't deliberate on the minibus drivers part, especially as they caught an innocent person in that. Either way, they need the book thrown at them.
Hopefully the person/people in the car were okay.
This week is 90 years since the driving test was introduced, you wouldn't think it based on the driving in these videos
06:46 Connor needs to hand his license in
Licence...
Why? Genuinely dont understand what they did wrong.
No, the Peugeot was in the wrong. Yes you can take that exit from the inside lane of the roundabout, but you have to drive on the outside lane of the exit so you don't cut off vehicles to the left. Like the red car did. Connor did nothing wrong. It may be you that needs to hand in your licence.
@@Grover91 and Conner stopped the driver from being able to do that when indicating it's intent by beginning to undertake, hand your license in.
@@resnonverba137 I lived in America for 6 years it's spelt that way over there 🤷
Forgive me because I don't drive but if a person has only enough time to choose between the brakes and the horn, is it a sensible use of reaction speed to favour the horn?
Not usually no.
I've said this time and time again but people just moan at me.
In every incident I've ever had, I've never had time to press the horn. I'm too busy avoiding a crash and you have less than two seconds to come up with a plan, execute it and make adjustments as various parameters change.
I have to think about the best way to avoid a crash without putting anybody else in danger. I have to think about how the vehicle will react to my inputs. I have to be able to correct unwanted reactions, in some cases, that means coming off the brake, which sounds strange for someone trying to stop.
There's a lot going on and I can't afford to waste any processing on pressing the horn.
But it's why I've only had one crash and that was nearly thirty years ago when the roads were covered in snow and someone pulled out on me on a small back road. Even then, I think I could have avoided it if I'd aimed for the road they pulled out of.
@@Michelle_Schu-blackaWhat you say is all very well, but how on earth is a mindset like that going to get you 30 seconds of fame on one of these channels?!
Ah, the horn every time! It also helps to do it for a LONG time whilst swearing loudly & repeatedly. The dash cammer may also have deliberately made the situation worse, in order to get their clip used.
Also, everyone knows that the horn pushes a column of air forwards at the speed of sound, thus slowing your vehicle. You save a lot in replacing brake pads....😊
Many dashcam users think the brakes are the button on the middle of the steering wheel. They then startle themselves with the loud noise and realise that they in fact need to put their foot on the middle pedal. Or (if in an auto) the left pedal.
6:46 Both lanes can turn right into the city (From Southfield Way) on that RA, but the sign showing this is ignored by many. You see people doing that every time you use that RA.
That first clip, I know at speed and with traffic close it's probably hard to not want to steer out of danger, but it always annoys me to see someone in another lane get taken out by people serving into them.
09:02. All sing now, "I fought the wall and the wall won"...

@@martinhutchinson9265No speedo was on display and no road signs said it was 30. So your guessing at her speed and the speed limit of the road.
Clearly a town centre environment, you don't need a 30mph sign, you can tell by the spacing of streetlights and the absence of repeater road signs that you'd have if it was a 40 (or a 20). Any experienced driver looking at that will know she is driving well in excess of 30.@@japsniper1980
@japsniper1980 there are other ways to tell if it's a 30mph zone. And she is obviously driving more than 30.

6:46 is just 3:14 the other way round.
Person in Citroen in first clip is a double clown
1 for not looking ahead for cars slowing down / stopping
2 for not moving over to left lane and chose to block 2nd lane
2:11 to be honest it's a complete and utter waste of time having a mini roundabout like that. Might as well just be a standard junction, there is a couple near me like that, the problem is most drivers don't treat them as roundabouts because of the one junction, many drivers think they're on the main road and have right of way. That's why accidents are common on these types of roundabouts cause they forget about the priority of traffic from the right. Just a waste of time and money having them, unless you have multiple junctions running off it, might as well be a standard junction.
Roundabouts like those cause more problems than they're worth. But there's no way the councils will spend the cash to stick up traffic lights....
I think that's why they sometimes paint give way lines on mini roundabouts to stop people thinking they have priority when going straight on, as you would have if it was a normal t junction.
6:45 Brave to submit with that singing lol

Certainly was, & it was close - dash cameras often make objects seem farther away than they actually are.
I've had this argument with people saying speed doesn't matter, their observation & skill is SO good. They forget, this is often how it happens: you literally have no time, might make an instinctive movement...then it's over.

"Helth Skelth? Isn't that supposed to say ...ohoh ohhh Shit"
At 3:00 the black car is too close to the blue Skoda. Thats why I always keep my distance from the car in front, usually and frustratingly some knob pulls into my safe space, then I have to build up a distance from knob again. Also I monitor the traffic several cars in front, to give me more warning time to react. Not just looking at the car in front, which in the clip, he was too close to anyway.
I think these dashcam channels should get there cammers to provide the cammers speeds on the video they are sending in,, although I doubt they would have the balls to do it judging by some of the speeds these bods are flying around beeping at anything that moves in front or around them.😂
I think the same! It's very noticeable that some information gets left out on purpose!
@TheCatBilbo absolutely, if they had nothing to hide it wouldn't be a issue and it would be sent in on the videos.

It give way to the right the other car driver should not have pulled out on to the roundabout.
@@ChuckieFinzter not when the merc was miles onto the roundabout
@ChuckieFinzter give way to those approaching from the right. The rule does not say approaching the roundabout from the right
@andrewredfern8811 Agree.... However, the guy was going too fast into the roundabout, indicating to turn right in the right-hand lane. If the mini roundabout is raised, you should go round it, but if the roundabout is just painted like the one in question, you should attempt to go round it.
The other car should have seen what was happening and allowed the turning vehicle to proceed.
Like I said, that's the problem with mini roundabouts. More care must be given, and the other car should give way.
There's always a Lidl
5:04 those are legal in many cities and it's the driver who forgot to check mirrors. Why blame the maybe innocent teen and ignore the forgetful driver?
E-scooters are not legal to use on the road, particularly as they often don't have lights or a plate. They are ONLY legal when they are the hire ones in the official trial areas with reg plates (private ones are illegal even in these areas), the rider must be insured (the hire company covers this) and the rider must have at least a provisional licence.
