I love your new kitchen! Please update us as you start using some of these new things. I bought a dishwasher similar to your's but Whirlpool brand, it has the top 3rd rack for silverware too. I personally am disappointed with that feature. It doesn't seem to get them clean. 😕

My dishwasher is like that, you push the buttons and shut the door and it turns on. I love the window sills!

Yes, mine is the same. There’s a light on the front that tells you when the load is finished.
My also. It is a way of making the dishwasher child proof. Nothing like being in the middle of a cycle and a kid comes along and pushes a button stopping it or starting it all over again! Been there, done that far too many times!

I really like the darker window sills. It looks like a happy mistake to me. It adds a beautiful contrast. Your kitchen will be so lovely when you move in with all your colorful kitchen items. FYI, you do have to open most dishwashers to access buttons. Helps with the little kids running around.

Well, the darker windowsills are out. It was a hard choice, but I wanted to follow what I saw in my head. The new windowsills will be installed later in September. We'll see how it turns out 😊

I realize it’s just a matter of personal preference but I think those window sills are gorgeous in the all white kitchen. They pop beautifully. Looks like you picked up the darkest shade in the flooring.

Thank you for having so much grace with your contractors, and realizing that they are real people, with real lives, real schedules, and real families as well! Not everyone understands that. As the wife of a self-employed contractor husband myself, I can attest to the fact that you will get the best service up front, and also lifelong, from these guys. The darker window sills make the floor pop pulling the darker in the floor. Love the new kitchen
My dishwasher is like that. You just press the buttons when it’s open and it starts when you close it. My old house had a dishwasher just like that too! Hope that helps :)

I thought that on those types of dishwashers, you're supposed to push the buttons you need and then close it and it will start. I don't think you're supposed to be able to see them while it's closed. They are purposely hidden.
Mine is exactly like you said above. Do all the things with the buttons. Close it and it starts on its own. Usually a light goes on to tell you it's on.

those window sills are beautiful and I think they blend in real well with the flooring, at least on my computer screen they do. Sad to see them go. Maybe you can use them somewhere else in your house, maybe convert them to shelves ?? Love you new kitchen and videos.
I saw Mrs Cridels post about the quartz too and I constantly use my air fryer on 400....I found a beautiful wood cutting board and placed under mine. Protects my counter and is aesthetically pleasing as well.
I am sorry, but I had to laugh about the dish washers. That is how they are all being done now. You press your buttons before you close the door. You dont have to try and stick your fingers in there to "find them" When we got ours a few years back, my hubby had the same reaction you did. LOL

To not lose the remote I would recommend sticking Velcro to the back of the remote, so you can stick it inside of a cabinet etc

There’s nothing wrong with your dishwasher. Push the buttons and then close it. It’s good that the buttons are hidden because that way no one can accidentally lean on it and turn it on or off .

I use Clear Tempered Glass Cutting Board / Scratch Resistant, Heat Resistant to protect my quartz countertops. I keep one on each side of the stove, plus more where needed. I like that the quartz design shows through. I have two different sizes that work for different areas in the kitchen. Your new kitchen is absolutely gorgeous!
We once lived on a ranch,,we were a foster home..we decided to go get a new big stove..we finally decided to just buy 2 large ovens..instead of 1 big stove..it was so much cheaper..and we 2 washer..people thought it was excessive..but, I'm telling you those washers never stopped..and we used the stoves every day..but our kitchen was a happy place
I absolutely love the window sills!! It brings out the dark areas in the flooring. I wouldn't change it. But, I know how it is to have your heart set on certain things....so, I get it. Beautiful kitchen!!!!

It looks amazing!!! I can't access my dishwasher controls when it is closed either. I just choose the setting when I'm going to run it and close the door for it to start! I am totally living thru you right now..that kitchen 👩🍳 💋
I just had a top control one installed. The front does not fit under the counter. The door is out enough I can see the controls and know how much time is left. I like it that way.

I love the idea of putting the plates and bowls in the drawers. It will also make it easy for the kids to empty the dishwasher or set the table.

I'm doing my 3rd white kitchen (of my own) in addition to many more here in NYC - I'm in the biz. You've done a great job with "OTC" materials, Jammerill! The only thing I'd do differently: spray paint your stools/chairs to an ivory/beige/warm grey that matches the floor/lighting fixtures/countertops. You're playing with warm whites, not cold, for the most part, and those metal chairs/stools spray paint beautifully. xoxo Edit: Also, you could use a bit of contrast... I'd do a beige/warm grey.

The fridge and stove are so dreamy! I’m a large family momma, and we currently have FOUR fridges and two separate deep freezers. Y’all did a great job. Absolutely beautiful.

I started watching you about 6 months ago an girl you are awesome. I've gotten great tips from you . I've had my grandsons from another state so we've had a large family when usually its family of 3 and now family of 7 an I've pulled it off because I took some of your tips an they have worked .I've had them for month and now time for them to go back home . I'm so happy for you, patience is a virtue and you've had that in abundance in your baby kitchen but I can feel your excitement in this beautiful space that you've created. I can't wait to see you fully moved in and cooking up a storm. I bet your steps will be consistently high walking around that kitchen lol. Re having your plates and bowls in the drawers, I had never even contemplated doing this but it was suggested to me when we had the drawers put in and I love it, it's so much easier than lifting them down from higher cupboards. I hope you have loads of fun kitting it all out xx

I love it!!! The light grey grout, the blue and white chairs, your desk area!!!!, excited to see the lighter widow sills (although the darker was a nice contrast), the fixtures the fridge... the EVERYTHING lol. Looks amazing!

I love how you made everything white so you can decorate however you want and change up the decor easily if you choose to later. I can't wait to see your decor.
