- Check out the new ENGL Ironball combo. Marco Wriedt (21Octayne) is showing you different pure sounds of the amp and is also playing the solo of the 21Octayne song "Tale of the broken child" with the Ironball combo. Come by and visit us at our NAMM booth #2046 and check out the amp by yourself. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Amazing playing by Marco. That guitar and amp seem like a happy couple. The new delay also sounds fantastic.
Thank you! Much appreciated!
Wieder ein toller Combo aus der Engl-Factory Made in Germany!
great amp and marco your playing is phenomenal
That´s very kind! Thank you very much! Marci

It‘s taken from the Song „The Tale of the Broken Child“ by 21 Octayne. Available on all streaming services! Enjoy and thank you very much for the kind words! MW
Amazing amp!!
I agree! MW
Very nice. Might have to get me one
I knew this was a great combo. Been running my Ironball head through a Marshall 1960A cab with 4x12 of V30's for a few years now. Love it. Stellar playing BTW!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! It´s a fantastic combo!
My god this sounds so good, great playing Marco
Thank you!
WOW
Damn that lead sounds fuckin sick!
Hard to get - try these amps in Scotland.
I have the Head & Vertical 2x12, the MVB adds about 7% more I'd say. I only use my Clean Channel for Blues playing on Full Gain and I put in a Svetlana Winged C in V1 and it really crunches nice. I really don't need the Gain Boost as I use an EP Booster Pedal to make it a monster! In V2 I put in a Groove Tubes 12AX7M (75% distortion) and this actually is still way too much gain than even for Metal on full but also adds 10% extra Headroom for the Lead Volume so you can also get a Boost in this way also! I highly recommend this amp or the Head.

I see him tapping footpedals. How is that a pure sound of the amp?
Hello there! The video contains sounds with and without effects to show the diversity and possibilities of the amp. There are plenty of „dry sound“ moments. Best, MW
Why is the “pure sound” so important? I mean using pedals is a pretty realistic scenario to me :D the amp doesn’t change just because there is a bit of delay.
Looks like he's just triggering the delay off and on.
I love it but what pedals is he using? And is there a footswitch to control the gain boost and amp channels?
Z4 Engl pedal comes separate but controls channel switching and boost.
How effective is the MVB? I have yet to find a demo of this and no one near by stocks ENGL for me to try !
sutch guitars I have one. Its a slight volume boost. I don't have it connected, just use my volume knob.

@@CROW_DOG Hi!! is the 7% enought for soloing on lead channel?? Or you need a booster pedal for this especifical function?? Thanks!!
Fantastic playing, great sounding clean channel... but where is the Medium gain section that made e.g. Marshall's JCM800 famous in the 80s?? There is something missing "in between", isn't it?
Hello there! It’s definitely in there! It‘s not always easy to show every sound detail of an amp in a video. But this amp also sounds fantastic with medium gain settings! You should try one by yourself! All the very best, MW
