Your Mum is amazing, I can’t believe she still remembers how to make stuff like this after being away from Somaliland for so long, Mashallah. May Allah give her a long life.❤
Hooyo is beyond talented. Weaving grasses into useful and decorative items takes creativity and skill. 😄
😯 Those woven items are simply gorgeous. Elena is clearly a lovely, dear friend and a gracious guest. She is appreciative, respectful of African culture and willing to learn new things. I can tell Hooyo Shamis is very happy to teach such an eager student. I am loving all of this, including the coffee ceremony! 💖❤️💜
Somalilander women are very talented! we are very lucky to have such an amazing strong women

Elena is good girl...welcome her
It is beautiful 😍, careful etopian coffee if you don't drink every morning you get headache, it has adiction
Masha allah amazing mum
Where is the jebenna (clay kettle)? LOL. Coffee roasting & grinding same as the Ethiopian coffee ceremony, but I guess we take it to another level with 3 rounds
A clay kettle? Is that similar to what Samiya was using for the coffee but instead a pan of water to boil.
@user-nz8rq8hn6i It was just a joke. In Ethiopia, we have what we all 'Jebena' to make coffee. We have so many similarities and I was just saying all the same except the Jebena
@@ETBeMore oh so basically we use the same thing to make tea and coffee etc. It makes sense that we would have similarities, I’m sure you guys probably do the basket weaving thing as well
@@HA-jq1mu Yep! Same
Elena Well come to hargeisa lovelly

You should be sitting somali gambler, small seat near the floor if you doing kitchen staff or cooking next time. Not in a chair, you get back pain 😢
