    Got my MotoPegs on order. Can't wait to try them out.

    I pulled the soft plugs and replaced them and the nuts with medium plugs, on a Tiger 1200 Rally Pro, reinstalled the original peg springs.
    Sometimes these oversized pegs will contact my ankles when I put a foot on the ground or lift it, but I'm getting the hang of it.
    Off road and standing on the pegs i'm able to get under the gear shit lever and on top of the brake lever without too much searching; a larger platform and pivot was all I wanted, of course until the lowered pivoting pegs are available - optimal touring comfort in the wide open spaces of the Western USA.
    At 6ft 230lbs the pivot is a bit soft while standing up, so I might make another swap for the hardest plugs and new nuts - since the nylon washers inside the nuts don't appear to be intended for anything beyond single use.

    What happened to making a lowering kit for these pegs?

  • @seazv
    @seazv Před rokem +1

    that's pretty awesome, is there also a possibility to be lower than stocks for tall riders?
    I'm running some after market pegs from sw that lower the pegs 15mm
    this would be the dream pegs if we can also put in a lower position?

    If I want to change the pins, do I have to remove the peg including the mounts? Or can I just remove the peg and put it back?

    A very helpful video. But: When are the motorpegs expected to be send when ordered on the first run?

    • @loneridergear
      @loneridergear Před rokem +1

      Now. We have shipped most out, and depending on your location you should have or be getting a tracking number the coming days.

    If the pins that come already installed are the ones I want, do they still need greasing up as per the video?

    When can we expect the 20mm lowered pegs?

  • @MotoFishingAdventurer

    Sorry Andrew, i still have a loose fit after installment on the bike. Went to the bmw dealer and the say it’s not smart to bent the attaching point on the motor. Can I sent you pictures?

    • @LONERIDERMoto
      @LONERIDERMoto  Před rokem +1

      Hi. Yes for sure. But I have seen this a few times now. BMWs tolerances for this are all over the place for some reason here. I will need to add spacer from now on. So, Please email us and say you need spacers (Andrew said) and we will send them out to you. Sorry about this, we tested on many bikes and this issue is random. Will get it fixed though. Thanks! Link to contact in the description.

      @@loneridergear hello Andrew, no sure to understand, on video once nut and washer are removed, the axel is pull of the peg?

    • @loneridergear
      @loneridergear Před rokem +1

      @@philippemarchay You may need to pull quite hard. Try to put a screw drive through the hole of the adaptor, where the pin of the bike holds the footpeg in place. Then, clamp the main body part of the footpeg and wiggle it out.

      @@loneridergear I was unable to remove the axel while the pegs were off off the bike - too stiff. I want to change the pins, the factory fitted ones give no movement. Can I change them with the axel fitted to the bike, I might get more leverage that way?
