- In this video I am showing how to use Siser's DTV or Direct to Vinyl product.
I print it out on my regular inkjet printer. I use an Epson Expressions 7100.
I printed through Design Space and cut with my Cricut.
Heat press onto a prepped shirt at 310 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 seconds with medium pressure.

Great tutorial!
Thank you!
I am making a photo quilt would dtv be good to transfer photos to 100%cotton. Since I will be transferring a rectangle photo do I need to use a mask or just butchers paper when I use the heat press.
Yes, DTV would work. And you can just peel it off the backing and place it on, no need for a mask since you are not transferring small pieces. But I do not suggest butcher paper when using HTV - it can stick. Try parchment or teflon.
Hi and thank you for your video. Do you need eco-solvent ink or regular ink for this?
Regular pigment ink is used for DTV. Not sublimation ink.

Thanks! Just subscribed to you. I've been looking for a UV DTF source. :)
How good dies design do after being washed? Im trying to find a good paper to use for shirts
I have tried a few printable HTV's. This is by FAR the best as far as printing and washing. But, it definitely costs a little more.
Cerious what are you customize color pritn settings for sublimation. This regular print is like 5 4 0 and 3. But I never tried messing with that especially with sublimation. I just use plain paper High quality. It's good but cerious if it can be better
I have tweaked my settings and now my prints POP!
Try this:
Premium presentation matte
high quality
High speed OFF
In color controls: Adobe RGB 2.2
Brightness 9
Contrast 7
Saturation 8-14 (this number moves depending on what I print)
Density 4
@@stacyodesigns your awesome thanks
@stacyodesigns thank you for taking time to answer my question
Hi! Which one do you think is better, DTV or Easysubli? what are the differences? :) thanks
This is a GREAT question and I've been pondering this a lot. I've always used subli mostly because I didn't have a good inkjet printer. But now that I do....I keep trying to find reasons to use subli over DTV. They are both basically the same price. However, you can buy the subli in rolls. But the DTV is soooooo thin. I think I'll do a video comparing them plus a wash test. :)
Hi.
What causes ink smearing after contact with water? I wait 24h before aplaying
Thank you
hmmm. I haven't had that happen. Did you use a mask? Do a final press after removing it?
@stacyodesigns so do I flatten the image first?
siser dtv sucks. To everybody who thinks it is the greatest thing since peanut butter and jelly it is not . No matter what I do I get peel before I wash the shirt. I talked to siser and they suggested transfer pillows. That failed too. Everybody shows how great it is but what they don't tell you is transfer does not stay adhered to the fabric. I tried it grocery totes and after three or 4 uses of the bag the corners are lifting. I then tried it on 100% cotton shirts and I got peel on the corners which spread to more and more unsticking. I reapplied the transfer but was not successful since it was stuck to fabric but later over time it peeled.
I bought some sublimation files from a company on esty and used my heat press. Perfect results. I gave up on siser dtv. Not worth the money for failed results.
I'm sorry this happened to you. I have not had the same experience. Maybe you got a bad batch?
