- While the UK has been in lockdown many of us have missed being on our amazing and historic Old Aberdeen campus and, we know from your comments, many of you have too. So, as part of his daily exercise, Dom from our international office kindly agreed to show us what we've been missing - keep an eye out for the long grass!
Thank you for the tour and greetings from Houston, Texas USA. My 10th great grandfather, George Keith was the founder of Marischal College in 1593. That college and King's College joined together in 1860 to form the University of Aberdeen. Grandfather Keith would be happy to see the progress and mission of the university being carried forward. Thank you to all the students and alumni.
Wow that's really cool :)
I may consider this school because it seems really cool! I haven't done a lot of research because I may not go because of the distance between there and home (I live to the south of London)
I’m completing my online application while watching this video. I’m so in love with the university. 🙏🏼
Remember this was a really nice day! These happen often - but in winter they are amazingly cold. And other times it can be a bit dreich, an excellent Doric word meaning cold, damp and miserable. I recommend the botany garden at the north end. And the St Machar bar.
How did your application go?
Me too 😩🙃
Thank you so much for this - it is extremely helpful. Is it possible to have a similar video but done by someone in a wheelchair? Many of the locations were wheelchair accessible but we'd need to see the difficulty levels per the cobblestones. Other locations were not wheelchair accessible so were not relevant routes for those of us traveling that way. Thank you so very much for your help!
Funny moment- at 2:43 you say the choir is practicing but the transcription of the captions says "trying to sing" probably not what you meant haha!
This was such a lovely tour! Can’t wait to come to Aberdeen in January ❤️
Hi, thanks for sharing the virtual tour over my university, I was graduated in 1988 majored in electrical and electronics engineering. I am looking forward to coming back again soon. My nickname "Callum" was named after a very good Scottish friend's younger brother during my university life.
It will be great if you can extend your introduction to Hillhead halls and Seaton park.
I submitted my application for Aberdeen Uni after this video, I literally cannot say no to these old gorgeous buildings. Thank you for showing us this.
I'm attending this September in person! Can't wait :D
