- In today's vlog we head to Universal's Islands of Adventure to ride the VelociCoaster for the annual passholder preview! We got an in depth look at the queue, the locker area and the child swap family room area. Then we give our thoughts on the coaster and the theming. Spoiler alert! We LOVED it! @@accountforwastingtime Just yesterday at the grocery store a worker was walking directly towards and me and goes "Hi!!" about two feet from me. I said, "Hello! How are you?" only to immediately see another worker was walking just behind me and to my left, and they both started talking with each other.
I will now think of that moment once or twice a month while falling asleep for the next 30 years.

Agreed. Such a good idea to lessen the locker crowds.
Some of them do! For rides such as galactica, and other rides with dual loading stations, there are double sided lockers
Poor Jen is really choosing her words here. She was definitely scared. As an adult - I wouldn’t have been able to ride it alone. So she was brave!
I don't know if I'd be able to ride it at all! I'm not really a big coaster person.
She got unlucky with seating. The last row is the best when it comes to air time. She was probably out of her seat the entire ride due to that fact.

Fun fact, Velociraptors were actaully only the size of a turkey or chicken.
The dinosaurs depicted in the Jurrasic movies and this coaster are actually Deinonychus.

I rode it a few hours ago, it's not one of the best I've done.
It's definitely one of the best I've done. I have not done TTD/ceder point yet but I have done Fury 325 and its just as good IMO.

I’m hoping I’m the future they add a theme end scene. I think the best roller coaster are the theme ones like the mummy and expedition Everest. I think this ride could do with a finale scene.
I mean, technically the theme is that you're being chased by velociraptors...
I heard a rumor that there was supposed to be an end scene with a bigger carnivore dino but they decided against it.
@@AngryKrumpet Well that makes sense that they didn’t do it because the ride is mainly based on velociraptors, but I have heard someone say that on the end of the ride Owen Grady mentions that there’s like a river situation, so they said that supposedly the Jurassic Park: River Adventure ride will be re-themed to Jurassic World
@100 percent I would say Velocicoaster is better than Steel Vengeance though.
The theme is that your in a paddock with velociraptors and your in a test run

When Tim said "I don't know why I said 'Good. How are you?'" I felt that lol I met Tim at D23 in 2019 and said Hi. His response was "Hey! How's it going?" but I was expecting him to ask for my name (why? I don't know. I was nervous lol) so I responded to how's it going by telling him my name. I could see the look of confusion on his face but he was so sweet and introduced himself to me then asked again how's it going.

It was such a good ride. My preview time was today at 10:30, I rode it twice. 100% worth your time.

@JeremyS The wait was not long. It constantly moved, it only took around 20 minutes.
@Brenda Ruiz When I got off of the ride my time had not ended yet. I went back to the attraction entrance and asked the team member if I could ride again. She said sure.

Man that is by far my favorite ride! Tim wasn't over exaggerating! This is by far the best coaster around, I can't wait to ride it again
"Chaos" is one of the raptors from "Camp Cretaceous" on Netflix. Although it's an animated series, it's just as intense as the Jurassic Park movies. My 25-year-old daughter and I watched the entire series and can't wait for the next season.
Oh man. Can we get Jenn on Hagrids please! It was shut down our last visit too. Can’t wait to see her reactions to that amazing ride though.
Fingers crossed we can get the new coaster out next go in mid July! 🤗

putting that top hat drop right next to the cue entrance is brilliant!!! it immediately ramps up the intimidation and excitement levels. just looking at it from my computer screen, I already started getting chills in my neck and felt my hands shaking.
If I wasn’t so terrified of coasters I would LOVE to ride this! Also love how they played the Fallen Kingdom theme in the queue. So chilling. And those animatronics! Very simple but so effective

I’m scared of rollercoasters too that goes upside down. also I only been on rock n roller coaster 1 time in 2016 it was scary but fun
@@RubyAnnRodriguez95 Exactly. I used to be TERRIFIED of rollercoasters like the Incredible Hulk rollercoaster, my legs were literally shaking on the first time I was in the line to ride it. After I rode it I instantly liked it a lot and up to this day, I rode it three times just from excitement
@@brianorozco1074 dude the Hulk was my first ever roller coaster when I was 11! I was crying getting on when I was about to ride it and i cried getting off because I was so excited and wanted to go again! My favorite roller coaster by far

Being from New England and riding Superman Ride of Steel at Six Flags so many times, I love when they don’t put shoulder restraints on coasters. It’s way more thrilling when your butt is literally flying out the seat for most of the ride
But the difference is that Superman doesn't go upside down.
A lap bar with inversions is sooooo much more intense!
My mouth dropped at 11:35 I cannot believe how realistic they make everything look. We are visiting for 4 days this weekend and I’m super bummed this won’t be open yet but so excited to ride it soon! Thanks for the awesome video :)
I would turn on notifications for a Twitter account such as Orlando Informer or some other group that'll notify when a soft opening is in progress. Like Tim said at the end, it seems very unlikely they'll now just close the ride for over a month until opening day, given that it is fully tested and functional.
And kudos to Universal for really putting on the themeing. Looks awesome. Theming really brings it home.
Hello lovely people! As someone who just got home from Florida and went to Universal I can say that the rides there are extremely fun!! If you don’t like long lines, I cant assure you that you’ll like the park, but as you have/ will see, the lines have great decorations that make the experience amazing!! I didn’t get the chance to go on all rides (especially considering the fact that there’s so many stores lmao) but from what I saw they’re all worth the wait! I do have to say though, the prices at the park are kinda expensive. You can look into that if you want to but I wanted to warn you of that 😅. If you read all this I’m sorry it’s so long but I thought I’d give my opinion of the park, as someone who had been looking forward to the park for a long time. Thank you!
When you’re upside down in the 0G or the roll over the water - is it like hanging on Tigris at Busch Gardens, because I just hang out of my seat in Tigris. 😂😎🌴

I can not wait to ride this!!! Pretty sure that bag between the Dr. Malcom and Dr. Grant books was the bag from Jurassic Park 3 that had the eggs.

Finally rode it twice on Monday...easily the best ride I've been on. Incredible experience

I was one of the Operators at Superior that helped build the ride. Glad to see it looks a lot better then when we left... it was all dirt with a roller coaster track... lol the theming is great!
The double sided lockers are a great idea. Keeps the inflow and outflow of riders moving.
It's nice to hear your feedback. The way they did the new lockers sounds SO much better than the crowded lockers around the other attractions. I went to Universal the first week of January 2020 and even though it was not heavily crowded, the lockers were a nightmare. Sounds like they are rethinking this. It's nice to have your cell phone to take pictures when you're in the queue, too.
The queue is definitely going to help with the long wait that’s going to accompany the opening of the ride. Love the animatronics in the line! Love the velociraptors!

I NEED to ride this. The way you guys explained it, it sounds like it gives you a similar experience to the Twisted Colossal (I think that’s what it was called) coaster at Magic Mountain six flags in Cali. That is the best theme park I’ve been to this far. Tim, the fact that you said this is better than Mako is exciting. I wanted to ride Mako so bad after one of your videos when you said it was the best. I finally went on it during magical dining month & I went on it 4 or 5 times in a row. It was amazing I agreed it was the best coaster in Florida. So now I’m excited about this coaster. Thank you!

I was so worried Jackson would get scared in that queue. It seemed pretty intense. But he did so good!
I just got back from Universal last night, and I got to ride it twice! The first time they didn’t have much of the queue on, like the lights and video weren’t all on, and we finished the ride and then got stuck so we had to be walked off 😂 The second time we saw so much more theming in the queue and we finished and didn’t get stuck. I remember Chris Pratt was in a video and he yelled something like “yes of course cause putting a roller coaster in the raptor paddock is a GREAT idea!”

When they said they had met a friend there, I thought for *sure* the friend was going to hang out with Jackson as Tim and Jenn rode together. In the end, it was Universal's 'no filming' rule that spoiled the fun of seeing them on the ride anyhow. :/

I was reading the comments and then I just started wondering if what Tim said was a raptor muzzle was actually a film prop, because in ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ when they’re getting the bullet out of Blue, Blue wears a muzzle that looks just like that one that was in the queue
