Two good teams but the appalling structure of this World Cup means that these two teams now play each other again in the quarter final. NZ vs Wales is another repeat. The rule should be that you can’t play the same team in your group until the semi-final at least.🇬🇧
Fortunately next World Cup they're doing away with the weird 3 group structure and having another 4 teams involved!
Exactly the same structure that's used for the world u20's. The difference being no qtr final stage. They play of 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12. It's the qtr finals that mess it up. The 4 that will make the semis are the 4 that would have gone direct to semis.
@@DJYoue The problem with introducing another 4 teams is that there will likely be even more asymmetrical games where the weaker side is simply thrashed. If they are going to do this they really have to invest in the developing nations so they can compete more effectively.
Having 4 pools rather than three would help with that.

US number 5 I think charged Tessier 3:32 which was ruled as interference if I remember
Like Sara said, a US player took out a Canadian player off the ball. The US player was ahead of the ball carrier. The Canadian player was denied the chance to defend the runner. Obstruction.
USA women doing more for rugby in USA than the men this was some brilliant rugby the men should take notes lmao
I think that these ladies need to take a look at how France dealt with England's awesome lineout drives. They packed an almost scrum defence immediately the ball was being taken in the the English and as they set up fro their drive. By being solid and tight all they have to do is hold the drive and wait for the ref to say "use it". Of course it does not always work :).
I could not believe how the USA side taunted the Canada players during the match, particularly the USA captain. Explains the participation by other USA players. And the USA lost! Proving once again that taunting is for losers.
New Zealand has world class stadiums as we all saw in 2011. Have no idea why an actual World Cup match and a brilliant one at that is being played in a field.
I don't know why all the games are up north. The rest of the country could have hosted teams and games. I really wanted to see some matches in person but was not travelling to Auckland or further north for it.
NZRU decided how much they would spend on this and many of the girls were playing in their own local back yard which gives them an extra boost as well as their large whanau supporters in the crowd

Poor crowds at the tournament in NZ. Any hosting country should do better, especially in a rugby nation.
Those south of Auckland would probably love to have a game in their city too...
What about the rugby league world cup they're probably getting more for this than that they will probably sellout Eden park when it comes to the final or semi finals

Their record during pool play. They didn't get bonus points in all their matches, so they are behind NZ and Canada who did.
