Crochet ribbed tank top tutorial

Here’s the tutorial on how to make my crochet ribbed tank top/cami! This is a made to measure pattern so you can adjust it to any size :)
Usually, crochet tops will stretch out over time. But by incorporating slip stitches into the design, it allows you to effortlessly put the top on and off without worrying about stretching it out as the top will bounce back to its original shape!

- 4 mm crochet hook
- Number 3 / DK weight yarn (I used 130 grams for size S, and 180 grams for size M)

I started crocheting a top similarly to yours. I'm using hdc in back loops with a hdc slip stitch ribbing. I didn't know hdc slip stitch was a thing and it looks like a knit stitch almost. Hi! In the thumbnail I used 100% cotton, but in the video I used 70% close skin velvet and 30% cotton yarn :)

Yes! You can use any yarn, just use the corresponding hook size :)

Hi!💜 you could attach an elastic cord to the inside of the top (where your shorter ribbing is) or I’ve also seen others attach silicone grip tape to help the top from slipping!
I haven’t tried these methods yet, but I’ve heard from other crocheters that these are helpful :)

Usually, curling is caused by inconsistent tension! Maybe your slip stiches are too tight, try to make them more loose :) Or try using a bigger hook - I hope this helps❤@@jsuevshj

How about the half double crochet

You can switch out the single crochets for half double crochets, that works too :)
