We at VKMT have to make the unfortunate call to delay our anniversary showcase event to April 30th. When the MCC update released a few days ago, it brought with it a whole host of problems for the Halo 3 tools. The majority of our showcase content is within Halo 3, which puts us in an awkward situation regarding the amount of what we’d have to show for the event. We feel it’s best to wait it out and see if these major tool issues get resolved, and those who want to showcase their Halo 3 content can demonstrate it in the states THEY want it to be shown.
Thank you for your understanding and your patience. We’re frustrated about these annoying circumstances, and hopefully all of this can be resolved soon.

It's an underrated game, for sure. The issue was that it was laughably overpriced for a game with just MP, 3 game modes, and a handful of maps. Also, PC players needed Windows Vista and GFWL at the time, and we know how bad that turned out lol

That being said though with 20+ years of active development expect any trace of Halo 1 in Infinite to be some single line of code that goes unused or something really obscure like the light flickering pattern example I just mentioned. Definitely not alot left.

Great care and attention was put to fleshing out ideas, which must have been useful when using their own engine later. Is this a normal playable xbe? Or does it need to be running on dev unit? Teapot wrote “ t's really interesting to see the changes in Shadowrun throughout development. At one point it had part of a working campaign because when they originally pitched the idea they had a working linear mission. There were apparently some good plans for a map editor, as well as a 5th class that was already finished and was supposed to be part of DLC with some additional maps but the studio went under before it could get those out. I really wonder what the game would have been like if it had all the included magic/techs, and the Orc class. Rumor has it that the Orc's damage output was linked directly to his health remaining. So if you were one shot, you delivered a massive amount of damage. It would have changed the game completely imo and possibly for the worse.”

So is this something someone can download and play? Or is it coming out soon?

It’s been out for a long time, but you need a modded original Xbox with 128mb of RAM to play it. You can find it on the alpha archive website

How did you manage to play this? The Shadowrun base game I mean. I have been trying for ages. I even bought a legit PC key, and it still didn't work. I grew up playing this game and I've wanted to play this again for years.

15:03 Hang on, is it just me or does the Rocket Launcher seem familiar... Yeah, looking at 13:47 the Rocket Launcher slightly resembles the old Third Person Shooter-era Missile Launcher.

It's crazy how some devs can transform a slow-paced tabletop rpg into a online-only competitive shooter lmao

You wouldn't even have to tell me this game runs on the Halo engine. The floaty jumps alone feels like Halo. Not a dig at Halo just pointing out how much I love Halo and can recognize it when a game uses it's engine.

When’s the Part II of the former Halo 2 video? I don’t know if you saw my original comment on that video, but I am abstaining from meat until it is released and I REALLY desire a steak sir.

To be fair, this game was a rendition divorced (all flavor, non-canon) from the TTRPG that it was based off of. It was a decent game, but it was *not* made as it was intended by FASA, cross-platform play was tacked on and single-player was cut completely. The result was that the RPG fans, and newcomers wound up being disappointed on some level. By the time I got
