It's kinda ironic how you spare all the who helped kill your dad yet kill a bunch of people who are just chilling
they're probably not dead.
Yang is specifically shown getting a heart attack, which is in common with Sifu.
Every character which clearly dies gets a very specific shot of the killing wound.
Getting hit by a staff won't really kill you, unless it breaks a bone, or collapses a passage. Being attacked with a cord, won't kill you, being strangled will.
Every injury done to a minor character could easily be assumed to just be too painful to stand up from, or a knockout blow.
@@MariwendIf you hit an enemy until they run out of health they are incapacitated, lying on the floor but very clearly still moving, breathing and alive. If you do any of the takedowns however, there is literally no movement from them once they are down, and many takedowns show blood splatters in the environment. It’s kind of strange but it makes me think you are killing them
@@MariwendWhat about the people I stab directly in the liver and/or abdomen? You can see the blade poking out of the other side when they get stabbed. 💀 Not to mention those whose throats I cut with a sharp blade. I dunno man, seems like aint nobody getting up from a cut like that.
I mean, how about the people that I throw off railings, such as the people in the museum, where you can throw people off 3 stories.
AND when I cave peoples skulls in with metal bats while their head is against the wall? Wouldnt it kill them?
And I check on them after these takedowns, and they aint moving AT all, eyes open and allat.

Actually, it IS about revenge... in the beginning
Then, the protagonist realizes their mistakes and the amulet (the amulet itself, not their father's spirit) takes them back to the point before Jafar's death with another purpose: to defeat their targets, but sparing them in order to archieve Wude and, perhaps, enlightment

While I do love this game with its challenging combat and satisfying gameplay, honestly the story kinda falls apart when you really think about it. Like, really think about it. After you spare the first boss, you still continue your vengeance as if you never learn anything. You're still killing the henchmen or innocent bystanders throughout the levels to reach the bosses just to spare them and yet, after sparing Yang, you get rewarded for your good actions (sparing the 5 bosses) over your multiple bad ones (killing all of the other enemies).
Sifu's father: "You have finally learned your lesson to not kill those responsible for my death. You have now earned a peaceful heaven."
Sifu: "What about all those people I killed just to get to those responsible for your death, father?"
Sifu's father:
Sifu hold me down all 2022 until Elden Ring dropped. Still play it from time to time and you not wrong the story does fall apart a bit. It's probably the overall message that revenge is bad.
@@racervisionary I knew it followed the "revenge is never sweet" type of story. But I actually think of Sifu's story as not real events but him just either playing the scenario in his mind and overcoming his demons or each of the bosses being metaphorical emotions he is trying to defeat but letting go is the way to come to make peace with himself. Either way, I think Sifu's story is more metaphorical than literal.

Technically u don't have to kill everybody. If u don't do takedowns and stuff in lethal ways, enemies can end up just knocked out. Also, u have the choice to take shortcuts which means u can come across less people. The whole continuing to attack the others after sparing the first boss thing does make sense and I completely agree, I'm just saying that u can choose to be Batman and mildly disable the enemies for life lol
I just beat this game and by far one of the best action and fighting games I’ve ever played

Understanding the true lore of the game needs you to complete the full Detective board and read most pieces of information you can (Specially the Tower ones) and pay more attention to dialogue in general

Basically.. the Protagonist actually died and hea just in purgatory... Bruh
I killed everyone in the beginning of the game, thinking I was avenging the protagonist father, but once you dfgure out what the father has to say, it makes you rethink your actions and put mercy on all the bosses, which is the right ending.

I noticed people keep bringing up the henchmen and while it's true that you can kill them but the thing is that they attack you first, they are actively are trying to kill you. The way i see it, it's self defense and most times you don't have to kill them.

You didn't go straight to finish after the concentration bar gone red because it's a part of sparing the opponent, or is it just the trick from the enemy for you to press the finishing instantly?
You break the structure twice and it well show a option to spare in the screen once you break the structure again
