Hello Lucie... i must say that the google translate pronunciation is not correct sometimes. because there is no word like "keselgas pataw" in sinhala. we call "patiya- for a calf , a puppy or a kitten which are the babies of the animals" .. If you want to say "banana plants" you should use the word " kesel pala"
kesel for banana and
pala for plant.
so when you are using google translator and the pronunciation please be careful
I think the best way for you to learn sinhala is watching sinhala movies with english subtitles. but do not go for historical movies because in that era people used written language as the spoken language. so go with the new films like " Asay Man Piyabanna" one of my favorites😊.
