  • Hamlet has inspired plenty of art, and perhaps one of the most famous paintings about the play is John Everett Millais' 'Ophelia', which captures her tragic moment of drowning in a bed of flowers. There's plenty more examples of thought-provoking art about 'Hamlet', of course, so in this video, I invite us to look at how paintings of different styles and movements about this play can shed deeper light into (or even transform the way we think about!) the play's characterisation and themes.
