    12V-24V Probe Tester with Wide Compatibility: ANCEL PB100 circuit tester is a fast and efficient electrical scanning probe, works for all 12V and 24V electrical system, like cars, boats, trailers, fuel pumps, relays and many other Vehicles.
    Electrical Probe Tester with Multi-Function: Designed to do Voltage & Polarity Testing, Continuity Testing, Signal Circuit Testing , Activating Components in your hand and in the vehicle, Testing Trailer Lights and Connections, Activating Components W/Ground, Red/Green Polarity LED, Following & Locating Short Circuits and Checking for Bad Ground Contacts.
    4 Work modes and Quick Self-test: The TFT color back lit display allows the user to read DC Voltage, AC voltage, Resistance and Diode parameters very clear. A quick self-test is a must before testing a circuit or component just to make sure your tool is in good order.
    Automotive Tester with Durable and Safety: Auto circuit breaker makes this tool very safety and durable, it is short-circuit protected as well as a safety measure to protect the tool from overload.
    This unit housed in rugged and with very friendly user interface, Even a beginner can easily use it without the manual. Built in two head lights allows you to work in the dark area, Flexible 20ft long allows reaching wires in or out of the vehicle or some congested places.
    Continuity Testing
    While the diagnostic tool is in resistance mode, using the probe tip with chass is ground or the auxiliary ground lead, continuity can be tested on wires and components attached or disconnected from the vehicle’s electrical system. When the probe tip is contacting a good ground, the LCD will indicate”0.0Ω” and green LED will be on. A beep tone will sound.
    Activating Components in Your Hand
    If the green LED went off at that instant or if the circuit breaker tripped, the tool has been overloaded. This could happen for the following reasons:
    1.The contact you are probing is direct ground or negative voltage
    2.The component you are testing is short-circuit
    3.The component is a very high current component. If the circuit breaker is tripped, reset it by waiting for it to cool down(15 sec
    Signal Circuit Testing
    Testing your sensor is easy.For example, you suspect there is a problem with your M.A.P.?
    1. Set the tool in AC Voltage mode, using the probe tip with chassis ground or the auxiliary ground lead
    2. Connect vacuum pump to MAP sensor
    3. Contact the probe tip to MAP sensor positive terminal and observe the LCD readings which should be a sine wave in normal condition
    4. Apply vacuum
    5. Release vacuum and observe the LCD readings
    If the LCD readings are abnormal, there is a problem with this sensor

    I wasn't looking for this tool, but I'm sold. Now just need to find where I can get one locally. Thanks!

      I have a link in the video description. Locally you find any auto parts store but it will be there own brand. Just ask them if they have a power probe as the may keep in the back.

    Ive got a digitech brand . I only use it on my two cars for relays fuel pump etc . Good unit but not durable at all. I need your type!

    I agree with Ed - really nice video!
    Question - what happens if you accidentally give power to a ground? Will the device blow up by the high current draw or is it fuse/breaker protected?

    • @RANDOMFIX
      @RANDOMFIX  Před 3 lety

      it will blow the device circuit unless the fuse in the vehicle is weaker, example is 5.0 amp fuse.

  • @RobertoSantiagoRodriguez

    Thanks for the video! Can a power probe be used as a circuit breaker to keep from blowing several fuses while looking for a short to ground? If so, how do I hook it up? What do I do with the auxiliary ground small black wire? Tx again!

    Hello, I need your advice, after my son changed the starter, the battery light came on on the dashboard. It has a new battery and I took it to Auto zone to check the alternator and it read 11.86. My son bought the Ancel PB 100 but since we have to check where it is faulty. Thank you.

    • @RANDOMFIX
      @RANDOMFIX  Před 2 měsíci

      A brand new battery is going to read higher than 11.86 volts more like 12.6.
      He could have blown the flusible likes by accident when we was changing the starter. That’s why you always want to disconnect the battery before change out the starter or alternator. It actually has happened to me before czcams.com/video/NaR5gJdUOyg/video.htmlsi=_HNBNZw1QSvAxjcE

    Does this work as well as a multimeter for testing if a part is good or bad ?

    • @RANDOMFIX
      @RANDOMFIX  Před 3 lety

      it can, but a multimeter is a lot more precise.

    I just bought the Autel PS 100. It's litterally the same tool. I think these companies buy them from the same Chinese factory and then just rebrand them.

      Joe, you are probably right. I've noticed that same exact tactic with scanners.

      Yeah - apart from them being different sizes, different shapes, different colors, having different sized screens, LEDs the other way round, and a completely different cable set-up - they are identical!

    You lost me when you said the "ac" setting was for the alternator. Lol

      good catch, Ac alternating current.

      Well before the bridge rectifier and regulator it actually produces 3phase ac voltage off the taps of the winding. around 70v or so. I think the last mode can be used to check capacitors but ill find out when i get mine. I think the ac mode is to check pulses in the circuit with the graph.
