What is it like at Disney World during a hurricane? When the Disney Parks are shutdown, and your hotel has a lockdown? We made the best of a bad situation when Disney World prepared for Hurricane Ian.

I have lived here in Orlando for over 40 years and often wondered what happens to the guests when a hurricane strikes, now I know. Thanks for your desire to always strive to show your viewers the unique and different! Keep up the great work my friend.
Very kind of you to point out the fact that some folks scrimped and saved to have the trip of a lifetime only to have the storm interrupt those plans.…etc. It’s a crummy situation all around but it is incredible to see people make the best of it. 😊 Stay safe out there, Brickey!
ATW is my main vlogger and you're now a top 5 because you're real with everything and easy to listen to.
The native Americans on the mural in the contemporary bring me so much joy. Representation matters 💖 thanks for the videos:)
There is a regular monorail storage bay where the monorails are put away at night, but during a hurricane the monorails are used to plug and support the towers monorail openings so weather can not enter.
So glad your experience went well. Feeling for families who lost their homes and belongings to flooding.
Another beautifully edited video as always, thanks Brickey! Love seeing you and Adam together too! Glad you guys were safe
I just got power and internet back on. Yard is flooded and a tree just fell within inches of my kitchen but when the power and internet came on ...I sat and watched Adams and your videos. You guys are amazing. Thanks for sharing your journey ❤️
Hey be safe and watch for powerlines when you go out. I know it's easier said then done but life is more important and precious than anything. I know you all will build it back !!! Stay Strong.
❤
What an incredible capture of a rare Magic Kingdom closure moment. Also We need mire Vacations By Woo in our blog life!!
Such mad respect for all the CMs, cleaning, cooking, helping guests, all while being concerned for their own families and property. Love you highlighting and respecting the different situations people are in. Glad your bud is with you. Maybe on another “Vacations by Woo” he can convince you to see the “boy witch’s” land…for design reasons. 😉 Bless Beth’s heart. Take good care, you two. Beautiful editing and music, as per usual.
The spinning Ian at the end. . Hilarious 😂 😂 😂 😂
You’re a class act. Thanks for sharing and you and Adam hanging out was amazing
Another fabulous video!! Thanks for the early morning drop! ❤ so cool to see the type of prep that goes into a natural event like this!
Great update Brickey, I love the tag team with you & Adam. I waited to watch the videos back to back. It is amazing with you two together, how different the storytelling is eventhough both of you were together during filming. Stay safe in Florida, I laughed when I saw the hurricane looked like Ian from freshbaked.😂👍
Hello from Phoenix Arizona❕🔥
So glad you're making the best of it out there! Stay safe! Praying for everyone!
OMG! The hurricane “Ian” at the end took me a sec, but really cracked me up!
This was an amazing video! We put this up on full screen across the back of our house to watch along with our neighbors. We have all been threw hurricanes where we live and know what it's like to pick up the pieces afterwards. Thanks for the donation reminder, that was a good call! Seeing Adam join up with you was good fun. Disney did a good job handling the situation. My daughter has friends there for a family reunion. They arrived Monday and are leaving on Friday. Thank you for this positive and uplifting video.
Thanks for a very unique video.
I’m so happy I found your channel after D23. What a great video!!! ❤️
Your music walking to the gate is bringing me to tears 😭 lol can’t help but think about all the great memories walking thru that gate 😊
With the 2 monorail trains and the 2 maintenance trains inside the Contemporary resort they are using them to "seal" up the openings on both sides that helps to prevent any rain or debris from coming in
Praying for you and Adam the Woo, that you will remain safe. 🌼
Great perspective. Wonderfully done. We can feel empathy for the hardest hit while feeling good watching this video. That is allowed and necessary for perspective
Extremely clever to show the head of Disneyland Ian in your closing graphic. It took me a minute to figure it out. Hi, Ian!
I was always curious how Disney World handled hurricane season. Prayers for all those out there in the area.
Thanks for the video Bricky!
Stay safe Brickey. It's so nice to see the Disney resorts taking care of their guests. 💞
I'm so glad that you're able to have some fun out there with Adam while still maintaining perspective on how serious it is for many peeps. Thanks for keeping us updated. Love the music, too!!
I was there for Hurricane Floyd back in 1999. A colleague and I were hired to do tech support for a Novartis VR exhibit at a psychology conference. Our flight from NYC was canceled, so we got a flight to Tampa, rented a Lincoln Town Car and drove to Orlando. The hotel locked down for a night and not much really happened. We got a free day (and still got paid).
It's interesting to see Ian from your lens, Brickey. Thanks.
Hey Brickey, love this video. I want to thank you for the good laugh you gave me at 16:35 in the video, when you suddenly said "Oh look floral Mickey." It reminded me of Dug from Pixar's "UP" when he would say "Squirrel." Please stay safe! My thoughts to your wife, for having to worry about you from the other side of the country. She deserves a spa day when this is over....lol.
Love the Ian reference at the end LOL!
First time watching you .. just subscribed!!
Great to see you making the most of a tough situation and you respecting the hardship others are going through.
Enjoyed the tour of the fanciest train shed I’ve ever seen!
So eerie and beautiful at the same time. Thank you for going out there and sharing your perspective.
Thank you for this! I really wanted to see what was going on at the park during the storm and I couldn't find very many people filming it. I have so many friends and family that live in Florida. Good job sharing your curiosity with us and still being respectful about the Florida community.
One of the reasons they likely had to close before the hurricane would be a giant issue, is just to give them time to prep. If they allowed guests in the parks, the guests would have to witness those preparations, and Disney would likely wish to avoid that.
Oh very very cool. I caught Adams perspective on his channel awhile ago, you did seem a more pleasant guest so imagine how glad i was you get this as a suggestion - good job CZcams!
A very interesting video. There were some excellent views in what was for everyone there a challenging situation. Space Mountain, pink and glowing, was beautiful. I enjoyed your vibe.
Love that you used Ian's face at the ending!!
Stay safe Brickey! Thank you for making this video, it keeps it really for us that have never gone through a Hurricane before. Keeping everyone in the path and affected by hurricane Ian in my Prayer's🙏🙏 To all the people of Florida who have lost their homes and belonging, my Heart goes out to you keeping you in my prayer's🙏🙏😥😥🙏🙏
I’ll be waiting here until 9 am.
Outstanding job with the music, as always. Once again you successfully created a high caliber vibe.
Definitely appreciate the reminders not to forget the people who will have their lives impacted by this storm beyond a vacation. I love seeing how something like this is handled from within the Disney bubble in relative safety but you're so right, this isn't a laughing matter either. Always enjoy your videos and take on things, looking forward to more. 💜
It was so irresponsible of him. No wonder how he packages it. He KNEW it was coming.. his behavior was disgusting.
@@RedheadedMama because i was a sub but no longer am. seriously this is a mess and you are a horrible person for defending it. hope you can learn to sympathize and understand suffering more in your old age...
I’d like to start with a big thank you!!! Really appreciate you doing this and sharing the experience. It is so encouraging seeing how Disney handles situations like this. It is also inspiring to hear how everyone is be respectful and keeping up the awesome vibes!!
So glad you and Adam are hunkering together through the storm, what great buddies 😊
Brickey, just rewatching this video a year later because: 1) We’ve just experienced another hurricane on the EC and 2) This was the first Hey Brickey video I ever saw.
From the beginning, you proved you were a different quality of CZcams personality. I now know you to be a truly caring creative who brings us along on amazing adventures in hurricanes, parking lots, and everywhere in between. You’re the best! Thank you.
Well since your a friend of Adams and I enjoy your hard work! I’ll subscribe 🎉
What a great video Brickey, with a unique view of Walt Disney World.. thank you. Watching for next update/check in. Stay safe
glad your safe! I'm safe! it felt weird getting "random" days off from working at Disney i was not able to volunteer for the ride out or clean up crew... I had my friend cancel her trip. she was suppose to fly in tue night and leave by fri... I have dealt with fires and earthquakes in CA and now being a CM/living in FL hurricanes... Disney is losing close to 8mil+ for shutting down for 2 days
Thanks for being a CM. I love your work. Stay safe and I hope all is well.
Come for the vibes. Stay for Ian's face. 😂 Thanks Brickey. Stay safe.
Great video thanks for posting so early
Brickey and Adam covering the hurricane way better than the news team lol thank you for going out there and be safe!! Also appreciate the beautiful edits!! New subscriber here and loving the content 👏🏻✨
What a rare opportunity, glad you are making the best out of your visit. Seeing the parked monorails is giving me all the feels. ❤ Thoughts are with the people of Florida affected by this devastating storm.
I really enjoyed seeing the behind the scenes hurricane footage !
Woke up early just to watch this video and see how you are doing! Thank you for keeping us updated!
Hey Brickey, I just did my first trip there while you were in D23 and Epcot absolutely stole my heart. Your walkthroughs of the parks right now through the eye of the storm is incredible and bringing back WDW feels for me. Great vibes great report as always, hope to run into you next time I’m in DLR or even my hopefully more regular adventures to WDW! 🎉
Found your channel from Watching Adams. Enjoyed the footage and music.
I came here from Adam’s vid to see the other point of view……subscribed my dude
This is peak Brickey right here. Always the true man on the ground telling us what’s up.
Beer on me Brickey. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks for sharing this Brickey. The Contemporary is definitely showing the Disney Magic during a bad time.
Hahaha Ian at the end! Thanks for documenting this! It’s been so interesting! Looking forward to each video!
The way Disney deals with natural disasters could be turned into a textbook for how to do it right.
your "mood" music is spot on.
Be safe out there 💜🌀🙏🏻
You are truly amazing and unique, as are your videos. Thank you for taking us along. Stay well and safe travels!
Great update! Thank you for sharing!
You really are a master of the "little moments" and the "big picture....with a little magic thrown in. I get to see WDW in a whole new way when you go. Thanks and here's to hoping you get to go at Christmas one year!
Thank you and be careful!
Stay safe. And. I'm glad your with Adam sending orayers
Hey Brickey! I’m here for the storytelling vibes. Thank you.
Great video.....Thanks....Kat from Tampa.😯😯😯😯
We were staying at the Contemporary during Irma and they looked after us so well. Be safe my friend.
Thanks for documenting this . You reporting and production it top class . I can see that you and Adam are making the most of you situation. Stay safe and are looking forward to seeing your next updates
That moment you walked up to the entrance - wow
😂 the image at the end 💀
Prayers sent for you and everyone with you. 🙏❤
Loving the coverage. Thanks man!
WDW needed to close so the local employees could stay home and prepare for the hurricane and take care of their families.
The same archictectual firm that designed the Contemporary Resort, William Beckett, Walts neighbor in Holmby Hills, designed the convention addition, it does look very Post Modern.
Thanks for being safe and bringing us along. I promised Beth I wouldn't do anything stupid and the spinning Ian face made me LOL. I stayed at the Contemporary back in 2016. My son who was 16 at the time and I sat out on that balcony you showed with the chairs and watched a rain storm move through one afternoon. It was a magical moment for sure. Stay safe.
Thank you for all you do. I can't wait to book my Woocation!
Great video as always $20 for a buffet sounds like a good deal for me! And looking good in the rain jacket looks like you’re ready for the Pacific Northwest!

It’s a beautiful yet scary silence. So heartbreaking to see the park closed as it was out here in Anaheim during the shutdown. I know it’s vastly different but the overwhelming sadness I felt looking through the gates while visiting Downtown Disney two years ago came back to me watching this video. I hope the people displaced get help quickly❤
you 2 being the only ones around at the gates like that reminds me of The Langoliers
Thank you
Thank you for the video Brickey. Praying for Florida🙏
I’m so glad you are safe, what an amazing video, I have friends from Utah visiting WDW, I have family that lives in Fort Myers/Naples area and they said the weather was crazy and some of their neighbors houses were 10 feet underwater, what a great challenge you have put out there, people definitely gonna need it.
Stay safe, thinking of you all from Sydney Australia
As I wrote to Adam, Yikes! You picked a great spot to ride the storm out though.
Jeez dude what a video you put out ! Man can’t even explain how I felt here in Cali the part where you walked around with hardly any people reminded me of when we closed down magic kingdom and I was on duty and there was no one at the park ! Brickey watch your six while you are there
6:15 those are anchor points for when abseilers jump down to do window/facade cleaning
I'm glad that Adam was able to join you and keep you company. It looks like Ian has left Florida now and is headed into South Carolina, but stay safe Brickey.
Hey Brickey, what a way to weather the storm. I would have felt safe there too! You and Adam definitely made some memories.
ok i found myself actually starting to tear up and cry watching..lol. but really im sorry for so many that their trips may have been ruined for their families, including your trip for you. but thank you for still covering it all and showing what you can, prayers for your safety and all there in the area. my cousin lives not far from there. Stay Safe. yes it all made me emotional inside and cry but thank you for pointing out how this effected so many in so many ways and covering it the way you did and what you showed and said you did a great job
Have been watching you and Adam!! Glad you're ok!! I don't understand the awe of walking to the gates?? But, I'm not the type fan you are. I've liked your video. Very interesting!
Stay safe Brickey! Thanks for the cool footage
That CUBE, and the Black & white floor DUALITY....
Wow…great video and editing job.
Hurricane Ian good one
This was amazing coverage of MK during the hurricane!!!
What a wild and weirdly wonderful day. Great to see a peek at how Disney manages an emergency situation. Love to see all the little things to keep families occupied.
Cheers to the WDW team foe all the effort that goes into keeping guests and the parks safe.
Glad you are safe Mark. #club1313
