  • Flight in a Britten-Norman Islander from Zorg en Hoop airport to Henry Alwies airstrip and from there a flight to 7000 ft to drop of parachutists.

    Nice video that brought back memories of flying skydivers in a BN-2A at Pakenham in Victoria, Australia in the late 80's and 90's. The airstrip is gone now due to 'progress'. It was an easy aircraft to fly with great STOL and x-wind landing ability. I still remember crabbing in then dropping a wing into wind to land on one wheel then the other while keeping the nose straight. The big vertical tail helped a lot with these landings in up to 35kts x-wind. Thanks for the video.
