Kobe was the first superstar I knew when I first watched the NBA. I'm a young kid and I began to watch basketball in 2010. Mamba was my inspiration, and even if I don't exactly play ball itself, he inspired me through his off court mentality and his philosophy. He's the reason why I grew to love the Lakers, even through our ups and downs as a franchise.
In terms of inspiring the next generation of children and hoopers alike: Kobe is the Greatest of All Time.

They should have announced his induction in April 2019 on the third anniversary of his final game and then had the ceremony several months later in September! But apparently the NBA is too lazy and arbitrarily waited another year until after he died doing the same helicopter ride for the 25th day in a row (his daughter was only with him on weekends and days off from school)!
