The Terraria Calamity Infernum True Melee Experience - Part 1/2

- The Calamity Mod introduces a new damage class for true melee weapons. This damage type is applied to melee weapons (and tools) that do not fire any projectiles when used or require strikes with the weapon itself to create projectiles.
There has been a community post where I have asked you what would you like to see. The most voted option was the "Infernum True Melee" run and, honestly, I expected this to be totally painful. Fortunately, the painful part of this was the editing process, which took a while since I decided to go for a mix between my new editing style and the old one (Now you have text + voice over).
This is the first part, which covers gameplay since the start of the game, up to the point where Moon Lord is defeated.

( also just the fact that it's somewhat reasonable to use a cryonis weapon against Golem, due to the arms and body hit boxes)
honestly it shouldnt belong in true melee and only is due to the projectiles appearing when contact is made.
@@jdogzerosilverblade299 the point of true melee is to require melee hits directly to deal damage/spawn any projectiles, which the avalanche does. It's just a particularly good true melee weapon. It's true melee, just the same as any other sword that only spawns projectiles on hit and not on use. True melee is also meant to be very strong generally to make up for the lack of range.
I thought of trying this, then actually processed that thought for more then 2 seconds and remembered I suck and that would be hell, you are a braver man then me.
Or more of a masochist I guess.

One of my biggest gripes with true melee swung weapons (in vanilla Terraria, and even mods like Calamity and Thorium) is that most of these weapons only swing in the direction the player moves, which only makes them less practical for boss fights. No wonder why the Excalibur and its true variant are so valued in these types of playthroughs.

Next update: Avalanche only does 15% damage to The Destroyer.

I recently did this plus The Wrath of the Gods Mod. I just don't know how to edit. It was a fun run and I first tried a lot of the bosses. Scal was honestly the only hard one. But yeah I just have the recordings sitting on my pc :c

i would say the projectiles the biome blade fires are true melee, since you have to true melee enemies to build it up

Molten armor gives 20% more true melee damage but since you used broken biome blade/fraktured ark and those aren't considered true melee, statigel armor is better
