      I think the SL is a terrible idea from Specialized. We wanted a Gen3 Kenevo instead of this. Still waiting...

    Depends on what you want, I chose the S5 KSL as it gives my a little help, ensures my heartrate is in the ideal zone and I'm still getting a decent workout as I get back into riding after losing fitness after an accident recovery, it helps me climb like a goat along with my power, contribution, as a solid 240 - 250 pound rider the 35NM motor is fine, very natural and uses the full cassette range, but that progressive low power helps prevents any climbing slippage, just rolls over. I also ride mainly with analogue bike riders and the SL simply allows me to keep with the pack but enjoy the climbs, descending is fantastic and the reduced weight is very noticeable. I ride mainly in eco and trail, turbo only only the steepest climbs, noise doesn't worry me, reliable little motor.

      I have the second generation kenevo SL2 , 50Nm is perfect for me, pedaling very natural and , climbing enough for me. Descending is a beast.

    I have the ksl love it but yes the seat tube insertion sucks and I do wish it had a bit more power but love it I’ve done local trails I would have never been able
    To do on a analog bike that I’ve always wanted to do

    For what it's worth, the KSL has adjustable chain stays (low and high setting) and also has adjustable headset cups (steep, middle, slack). That could have made a difference you

      Appreciate the advise. Do you have one? I would just downsize and the problem would be solved with s4. Then loose 30 pounds so the motor is stronger 🤓

      @@OtterMTBtech I do, S-Works as well. Love the bike. Wished it had a teenie bit more power and a shorter seat tube. Love the videos, keep up the great content.... BTW, did you follow specialized's suspension calculator to set the bike up or tuned it on feel? I am having a lot of problems dialing in the rear suspension. It feels pretty dead to me. Love you hear your thoughts

    I just bought the Kenevo and will do a mullet set up first to keep it somewhat playful. I'm just worried that putting a 29 in the front will slacken it too much, as low as 63 degrees. What do you think?

    • @OtterMTBtech
      @OtterMTBtech  Před 9 měsíci

      Full 29er with 180 fork makes it 65.5 degree head angle. Amazing trail bike. Haven’t measured it mullet, but way slacker. I keep 29ers in it unless going on DH lines then pop 27.5 in

      @nasimzamani38 Před 9 měsíci

      I put on a Fox 38 Factory Grip2 fork 180mm travel and my head angle is measuring around 61-62 degrees slack...super slack. I feel it on the turns. I think I have to go full 29 to bring it up to at least 63.@@OtterMTBtech

      Tire side wall and rim height maybe. I can’t even tell the difference between mullet, 29er or 27.5, just notice the more 29er wheels on bike make it really fast. I ran 160 forks to 200 dual crown feels about the same

      Just to add to the options, a 180 DC fork, is 10mm lower than a 180 SC fork, so if you want to keep the geometry going 29, go for DC with a 180 air shaft.

    Funny that you have fox 36 on havy kenevo, and 38 on lighter sl bike 😅

    Hard pass on both for multiple reasons. Why they couldn't figure out how to go full power in a SL style frame is interesting. The full Levo/Kenevo frame is a proven coil snapper.
