    I've used 2024 Fox X2, 2023 Super Deluxe Ultimate coil, Ohlins TTx22m, and the Storia V3 on my enduro bike. Can confirm, Storia is the best feeling shock I've ever used. Ohlins feels very good but much different than the Storia. The X2 and Super Deluxe didn't feel bad, just not on the level of the Storia and Ohlins.

      @@OtterMTBtech i have an ext and have expensive time on cane creek kitsuma coil and MRP Hazzard. I personally find thatball is down to setup and that the EXT can ride a wide range of spring rate thanks to A the HBO anf B thanks to how great the damping feels. I can get that sucker super sticky that hugs the trail so damn tight it's like velcroed on - but still not feels dead when you need to move it. So I don't really agree with you. Setup is super importants and knowing what you want and need is even more important.
      I do, however agree with you that all coils are not created equally and that the have som traits that will influence the way you need tonset it up to make it feel good for you.
      With that said I really miss thengöued on feeling I have with the EXT but I am not having the super damped ride i set up with the Kitsuma. Paris great with a Öhlins fork or a Mezzer Pro with some extra comp damping added. 👍 Feels super stable👍

  • @randommtbing5631
    @randommtbing5631 Před 20 dny

    Did you use same sag with the shocks you comparing this? The EXT has lower internal spring rate (lower damping oil pressure) according to your testing with the weight scale and you use lower rate spring on it so the ride height must be lower also. You can't get around it by changing damping. Every suspension set up should be started by setting up sag and rebound. You skpiped this step and started changing every possible adjustment all at once rather than doing bracketing.

      @geerumm Před 21 dnem +1

      @@JOE-uq8oh I think it's more preference as both dampers are plenty capable. Personally, I like the IFP in the reservoir rather than the bladder, but the V3-S also uses an internal negative coil that allows it to be much softer off-the-top. Steel shaft adds some weight, as well as durability. Additionally, the V3-S and e-Storia use a different piston holder, hence the difference in noise output compared to the Arma/Storia V3.
