Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world. - Hudba
The more I listen to zeppelin the more I realize their genius and greatness.
Ive been saying that to myself for the past 40 years. 🙌🧙🏻♂️
Close your eyes, and listen to Jason channel his father thru his drum kit!!! I love Led Zeppelin best band EVER!!!!!
Listening in spring 2024 🌈
2024 led zeppelin's music will never die out ❤❤❤❤
Still listening in 2024!
Hey kids,look,real music
50 years later...
And still the greatest.
People think I'm crazy when I say I want to go back to the 70's and just stay there.
Zeppel❤in
my god please take us with you.
If there's a heaven, that'll be it for me.
I say that all the time! It would be my only wish if I ever got one!
I'll join you. Such an incredibly creative decade of musicians. Later part of the 60s was pretty cool too.
Well done Jason, your dad would be very proud of you.
Jimmy Page, at 80, is someone I’d listen to on guitar today! Where, and who else is there, on guitar these days? I know a few. No one though, ever can imitate Jimmy Page!
england's greatest rock band never be another zeppelin
England
we thank you for this one England
The shot of Robert Plant Quick Look and smile at Jimmy Page is priceless, John Paul Jones wow, and Jason drumming just brilliant.
Who isn't still listening to this greatness
Thank Sweet Jesus John Bonham had a child...
Holy smokes, JPJ is crushing this one. Heck, they're all crushing it.
I have listened to Zeppelin for over 40 years. And this rendition of THIS song is so freekin good its mind boggling. 😎
got ya beat by a decade :)
Insane .
I find the Fuzz on Page's guitar a bit annoying.
Am still listen in 2024.
The Best band in History Led Zeppelin ❤️
Nope.
THE WHO!!!!!!!
@@gr8fulgeorgepara nada esos solo son emos reprimidos que nadie los presta atención .
Fun Fact: Zep set a Guiness World Record with most ticket requests in a single day with 20MM requests for tickets.
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will be.....
This concert should have been broadcast live, globally.
if nothing else pay per view, wonder how many people would have bought that. i sure would have.
Needed to be digitally altered to sound like this. Nobody sounds this great at this age after decades not playing together. Still mega experience and unique
Yeah I have to Ramble on
👍👍👍
@@mikewa2 I don't think you are right. Listen to any of them playing live and they are exactly the same. Especially Robert. His voice is pure and accurate even now aged 75. They just really are that good.
Jason did an admirable job filling in for his Father, given that he was on stage with 3 of the greatest musicians to ever walk the face of the earth. For the uneducated, it is hard to explain the greatness of Zep. When Bonzo was alive, they were the undisputed kings of Rock. Each a great musician in their own right, but put the four together and the best music ever made came alive. So glad I got to be here for the whole ride!
John Paul Jones bass lines in that song is amongst the best bass in rock history.
one of the best bass lines ever recorded
I find his level of fluidity on the "Ramble On" riff, impossible to duplicate. Now I am not near as talented, I still am amazed at his abilities. An under rated piece of the Led Zep talent ring.
Such a great introductory layer to start the song. Just incredible. Might be my favourite intro to a song in rock history.
I agree
@@dakotaspike Absolutely.
J.P.Jones one of the best bass player ever.
everyone of them are the best ever.
As some insightful person once said, in any other group, he would be the best musician on the stage.
If you think so✋ You're exactly right!
The best.
Robert got what he had wanted for a long time. One last jam with the guys again. And they didn't miss a beat.
Who is still listening to this treasure in 2023?
I am!!!!! 🤘✌️
me
I am at 70 years old👌😉
🙋♀️😍😍🤩😎🤘
Now again- it’s just SO epic!
Genius of JPJ
Those bass lines
Totally 🥰
It's buried in the mix.
Sadly,he’s the only one playing the part as it was played originally
JPJ was always the glue that held em together, he’s a family man and down to earth not a party animal but into their music.
One of the most perfect bass lines of all time
That baseline is absolute perfection
lemon song too
YES ❤❤❤❤
Bryan Cranston completely rocks. Great actor too, when he's not touring with Led Z.
That bass line!!!
I was there :) The only thing that I clearly remember is my endless crying....for two hours and 2 minutes
I wish they would get together and perform again😢 At this point, I would spend my last dime to fly straight to the site of this legendary band. I love each and every member, including Jason. I have listened to EVERY song that has ever been released, even those secret ones and the earlier songs by the Yardbirds. I cannot explain my obsession, but I think my most favorite part is the way Jimmy and Robert play off one another. Jimmy can play something and Robert will come up with a way to make Jimmy's licks come to life through his voice and then next thing you know, Jimmy will imitate Robert. It becomes difficult to tell who is leading who and I just get lost in the beauty of it all. And then they'll smile at each other and I just melt into a puddle.
I've just spent the best part of an hour listening to this on repeat. Jimmy's slightly distorted main riff is so much nicer than the recorded version. In fact this is the best version of Ramble On that I know of. OK, I'm going to go listen to Kashmir back to back now.
Great big shout out to Jason, keeping the legacy alive
Good to see JPJ get some camera time. Truly an underestimated musician, and a driving force in the musical arrangements of LZ. A bass player who can "play" with Page on equal footing.
I always felt like JPJ never got the respect he deserved........that dude's IS A BEAST ON THE BASS !
He is a very powerful musician hands down.
Led Zeppelin isn't Led Zeppelin without John Paul Jones. I was so glad that he played along with his band mates! Exactly where he belongs!! Greatest bassist, keyboard, piano, mandolin, ect.. ect..
@@michaelrodriguez2597 So true he is amazing.
@@michaelrodriguez2597, he is Mr. Versatility.

2025 man. I listen 2 this version all the time. This performance ranks with anything they did when they were younger. The fuckin bass is incredible.
Fuckin brilliant.
2024 & still awesome ❤saw them at the Spectrum in Philly 1971 … funtabulous 🥳❤️❤️❤️
A band only proves its worth when playing live.
I rest my case.
That bass line alone....spectacular and perfect. They are in full force here, the Zep. Amazing.
#1 rock band still in 2024! Hands down!
What an epic bass line! JPJ sounds truly fantastic!
thank god for growing up in this era, also thank god for youtube.
After all these years still John Paul Jones calmly holding them all together.
for those that understood the band thats a solid , rock hard fact
And the most underrated of ALL of them
so very very true. Just a brilliant bassist
There are many incredible musicians. The beatles, stones, who, pink floyd, marley. I could go on. Musicians are very special like all artists. Lay back and enjoy your fancy.
These guys stil have it .. of course .. 27 years later.. the lead solo takes this song to a whole new modern day level
The LEGEND of the LED ZEPPELIN I LOVE this SONG my Favourite 🖤💜💙💚❤️♥️🧡💛💛🧡♥️❤️💚💙🖤🖤
John Paul Jones the secret weapon Led Zep had that ties it all together. In full flight in this song
not much of a secret - he was so awesome - he and Bonham together were such an important part of their sound
It seems like he gets very little credit, I guess he does not have the sexy place like vocals or guitar.
You nailed it - Great Player
Secret weapon love it
@@pjpredhomme7699 Most rhythm sections follow the drummer. The drummer followed holy guitar
Ahh shit ! There will never be a live band this good again.
JPJ the glue for Led Zeppelin
John Paul Jones is such an underrated bass player. One of the best!
however you cut the cake..there still the greatest band in the world...and always will be.
The Beatles exist
@@vesin_9772 Led Zeppelin knock the Beatles into a cocked hat.the Beatles were a pop band..not rock.
@@LZDEN that is false, if you've ever listened to a Beatles record it's unmistakably rock and roll, also zeppelin is closer to blues than rock, also at least the Beatles were original

Few of the comments here pay homage to Jason Bonham.
How hard and how beautiful must it be for him, to immortalise his father's legacy?
Anyone whose father has been revered, deserves respect for even *trying* to walk a mile in those shoes ... Jason not only does it - but does it brilliantly, almost seamlessly ...
Oh YEAH.. Bonham Sr. MUST be lookin down & thinkin "That's My Son Folks".. Like Father like Son..
Got to see Jason twice just in the past few years, up in the PacNW. First w Heart, then as a guest, surprise apparence w Peter Frampton, Frampton’s 2nd to last show on his farewell tour. Blessed. 🙏🏼

The best of the world ❤
With all due respect to the Beatles and Stones, Zeppelin puts the rock in rock n' roll. And Jimmy Page makes white hair look super cool.
Smile John, you did it the best, all of you
People always complain they didn’t do more gigs but doesn’t it make this one that much more perfect? Robert Plant always said he wouldn’t continue without Bonzo, but agreed to this with Jason for Ahmet Ertegun, and you can clearly see at 1:36 he’s loving being on stage with Jimmy. No horrible break up, no horrible replacement when Bonzo died… just rode out into the night and reunited for this showing that they’re still the absolute pinnacle of music. They’re not my personal favourite band of all time but I think they may be the greatest 4 musicians ever assembled
John Bonham is still one of the best drummers that ever lived and he's been gone since 1980 and he still one of the best drummers ever those triplets that he used to do were incredible he is the one that helped the band together JP is good definitely but bottom was the boss. We miss you Bonzo😊😊😊😊
Every Zeppelin song reminds me of 1970s Camaros, cruising the main strip at night and weed.
JPJ pure absolutely incredible genius
JPJ is greatest rock musician alive.... maybe of all time ....while being married for the past 55 years and raising children....and has chosen philantropy (with a modest net worth)as his retirement hobby!!!!!!
"Oh sometimes I get so tired....but I know there's one thing I got to do...Ramble On"... says it all!!!!!!
Hello Sherry, I'm glad you're a fan. How are you doing today? It's my pleasure meeting you here. Is this your favorite track of the band?
And I was there ! Still love the great Led Zeppelin’s music at 68 ! 💃💃💃❤

JPJ isn’t underrated… let that sink in… we all know the magnitude of a genius he is. He’s quiet, but that also makes him the most interesting member of the band
JPJ is the most underrated musician in all of rock history.
Pleease.. enough of this :) it is getting soo old... fo sure he never was
any musician will tell you so
Only in the sense that the other 3 band mates are routinely mentioned in as contenders for the greatest of all time. JPJ really when it comes down to it, was likely the most talented of the 4.
Absolutely
@@tomasvanecek8626 back under your rock slouch
@@johnanderson7739 Now define what "most talented" does mean to you ? By what criteria ? In the same vein - was Jack Bruce the most talented one in Cream ? And there it would be a closer match.. I just think this pissing match is absolutely useless... Why cant people enjoy those great bands for what they did together as one unit. But no... this one was more talented.. what a load of BS.
First heard it in 1972/3 - didn’t think much of it as heartbreaker and whole lotta love did our heads in then
But never forgot what a classic this was
The bass lines are very teasing indeed
What Is and What Should Not Be at the end is always so heavy
John Paul Jones just hammered this tune so under rated !!

Led Zeppelin are the Greatest Rock Band of All Time, and Jimmy Page proves here that he is the coolest guitar player ever. He is totally bad ass with his long gray hair, shades, and suave clothes to compliment that '58 Les Paul.
Like a cross between Dracula and Mozart
I love when he uses the violin bow on Dazed and Confused. He is the wizard of rock.
It’s a pretty simple recipe. When you have the top 5 lead and bass guitarists, insane drummer and someone on vocals with passion u get Led Zepp

Underrated.... singularly the most overrated word on CZcams. Used liberally by twits around the globe who have no idea what the word truly means.

OK kids, now you know why Grampa is still so cool. He grew up on the best rock ever made. Listen and understand our world.
Even at this age, Plant has so much energy and style, the way he flicks up that mic stand in the beginning and his vocals are still quite as intense. He looks like a lion with those golden hair.

ok veronica
It's not unique to this performance. The album version had a fade out, and I don't think it was ever played live in the '70s. So they had to come up with some ending for the Page & Plant shows in the '90s. Later Page did the same perfuming Ramble On with Foo Fighters too.
How many bands are better live than on an album. Not many.
My fave Zep concert..Everyone sober clean full of energy and purpose
Love the look that Jimmy and Robert give each other at 1:36 when they both hear Bonzo's kid follow Jimmy's guitar lick perfectly with his bass drum foot pedal.
