    Looks like a very usefool tool ! Why didn't the "Engineers" make the plunge component and collar sized appropriately to fit into the chopping drum when not in use? A simple solution would be to make a vented blade cover with a suitable sized centre hole to protect the plunger and paddle from damage from the blade and visa versa, with small finger lift tabs at the edges of the lift cover. Obviously vented to prevent stagnant air forming a corrosive environment from ruining the cutting edges. And the drum cover can then be placed over the top to allow for far easier, safer and less space consuming storage. Other than the cost of retooling the manufacturing equipment the only material extra cost would be the vented blade cover which would be maybe 3mm thick and about 2 cents . Good tool but should have been thought out better in r and d .

      Thank you for your thoughtful suggestions, it's much appreciated! I believe I understand the technical part of your suggestion and will look at this in more detail. We hope to be able to revise the product in the future to make it even smaller in storage than it already is.

      @luisabove23 ps. Sarei curioso anche riguardo la crema caffè, se poi effettivamente si riesce. Però lo prenderei prima di tutto per farci la panna. Ho un doppio frustino a manovella ma a volte me la fa subito, a volte invece fatico per parecchi minuti... :)
