Margarita = amazing, blue cocktail = amazing. Blue Margarita = life changing. Great Monday Marg!
But is it changed for the better?
@@boozeontherocks with out a doubt
@@NeverEmTyBottle Awesome!!
I’m a bartender now and just randomly watch videos like this now lol I love it.
I'm glad you like it. Whats your favorite drink to make?
Yeah, Gimme them Monday Blues!
That sounds like the name of a good country music song.
Made this one yesterday for St. Paddy's Day, me old father said it was one of the best drinks I've made for him (nothing will beat my Improvised French '75 with him, however this one is a hit).
Thank you I'm glad he liked it.
DAVID!!!! This should be called "Daylight Savings Time Blues"! We lost an hour of sleep, but gained a cool looking blue margherita!!! Thanks!!!!!
Tim, you right I did not even think of that, I just knew I had to make a good cocktail :)
@@boozeontherocks Trust me, this week, I'm going code "Blue"....
@@boozeontherocks Remember that song "Blue Monday"?? That's a great song.....

Hi Bruce, Thank you very much. I'm glad you like them.
I've been making your drinks here at home and we love them!!!! Keep em coming boss!!!!
Thanx!Happy Margarita Day !
Same to you!
I tried this with vodka and sugar to replace the tequilla and salt. And if u like sweet cocktails just like my friends you should for sure try it out
Hi BOB that sounds good. What ratios did you use?
Actually i did the same amounts. I only replaced the 2oz of tequilla with 2.25 - 2-50 of vodka so that the vodkas taste comes out a bit more. And then just sugar for salt. But i think its just what u prefer, ive never been a big fan of tequilla's taste itself so id rather use a substitute
YUM 😋 Thanks for sharing yr blue margarita recipe. Agave is nice touch to the balanced cocktail
Your welcome Julia. I'm glad you like it.

My dude!!!! 🍻 Love your channel brotha! Love the way you break everything down with the OZ/ML I became the family party bartender lol 😆. Keep making these great videos and thank you for sharing with us your skills!
Your welcome and thank you for the feedback!!!
Hi David, I added 60 ml of flat leftover mountain dew to your recipe to create a mild variation in color. Kinda like a his and her margarita. The original one stays blue while the one with mountain dew was a lighter teal blue color. Big hit at house parties.
That sounds great. Thanks for the idea.
Sounds like a hobo Baja blast😂
Great start to the week. (Of finish of the weekend for you).
It is. You would like this.
Totally agree!
Love your videos. I watch you from Cancun
Thank you very much.
David- yay for margarita Monday’s.
I like blue cocktails because it’s one of my favorite colors.
I think my favorite for sipping is reposado- I like the bottles from corzo.
Hi hats a nice idea to only rim half the glass with salt.
Really pretty color- looks like a Caribbean ocean.
Thank you. Blue is one of my favorites as well. Unfortunately I cannot get Corzo where i live.
I love blue cocktails! I also love umbrella drinks and I don’t care what anybody says :). I also love your show and Margarita Mondays.

Great style pal. Just be you. Love this. Thanks. Lyndon S.
Thank you Lyndon.
What a good idea half salt the glass
Thank you. It works great for those that don't like salt.
It's delicious! Made it with my 1800, big bro made with his Don Julio.
Aweome. What did you both think?
@BoozeOnTheRocks The Don Julio (which is expensive) gives a richer taste than the 1800, overall, both delicious.
This is the perfect cocktail I think! 😱😍
Thank you Tessa!!!
Who doesn't love a good blue drink, right? 😋
Thank u I tried it with rum it was good 👍

You're in for a great time. Great hobby/pastime
Hi David, I have just made this to your spec and it is lovely. The salt reduces the sweetness.
Nick from York
Thanks Nick. I'm glad you liked it.
Great looking margarita. I totally love they way you salted the glass. 1/2 of salt and a lime. Cheers my friend!! 🍹
Thanks Pj. I'm glad you liked it.
@@boozeontherocks that was suppose to say a 1/2 pound of salt. 🤣🤣
Agreed1 That's how I've always taught it for that same reason.
I make a blue margarita using a 3,2,1, 1/2 mixture
3 oz lime juice
2 oz tequila
1 oz blue curacao
1/2 Cointreau or grand Marnier.
Shake, salt glass poor over iced glass lime wedge in glass.
That does sound good.
Blue Monday! Monday Blues! Both can usually be solved with a blue marg!
And that is the truth!
Thanks :)🥰
You’re welcome 😊
I’m going to make this with silver mezcal. Thank you 😊
Your welcome Joe, I hope you like it.
Wowza!! David, when you get to creating a cocktail, you go all out!! This Blue Margarita sounds fabulous!! I am going to get some Blue Curacao, pronto, and make myself this lovely beverage - and I am excited to do so!! Tequila is a spirit that I don't know a lot about. I haven't had many cocktails with Tequila - traditionally I focused on lovely wine, and collecting wine, and terrific Gins!! And they are awesome!! But I want to explore more about Tequila based cocktails!! This is a great one to try and I will go and see what Tequilas we have available locally!!
Thank you Christine. Make sure you get a 100% Agave Tequila. That way you will get good flavors.
@@boozeontherocks Thank you David!! This helps a lot!!

@@boozeontherocks YES, the Empire Strikes Back!!!
You are correct, Blue Margaritas are GREAT! I have been making them for over 20 years and the simplest and best I have found is equal parts, fresh lime juice, Tequila, Blue Curacao, and Triple Sec. Try it, I'm sure you will enjoy.
I will definitely try out those ratios, it sounds really good. Thanks for the recipe variation.

The Texas Longhorn restaurant has the best Margarita I have ever tasted. I don’t know it’s name but, it’s kind of dark in color. I like to watch you and, appreciate you teaching me how to make drinks. I also appreciate you posting the ingredients. I wish you would figure out the Margarita I am speaking of and teach me how to make it.

olmec a altos is amazinggg
Its one of my favorites.
The blue wave.

Magawa nga etong blue margarita sa birthday namo ni mama ting. Had blue margarita with high school friends sooooo long ago😂
Mukhang magandang panahon iyon
i’m using the el jimador tequila for this one and when i tell my friends to try it they all say it feels and tastes so strong, is it because of the tequila?
This is amazing. Can i use simple syrup instead of agave?
Hi Andrew, You can use simple syrup. Start with .25 oz/7.5 ml and work your way up to where it works for you. As a rule Agave syrup is sweeter than Simple syrup so ajust in small steps.
Happy Margarita Monday 💙 I like blue cocktails because they remind my of Tom Brady's eyes(made money on the super bowl this year). I have a suggestion for Margarita Monday. I would like to see a Rhubarb Margarita with possibly Rhubarb simple syrup and Okanagan Springs Craft Distillery makes a nice Rhubarb Liqueur. Also a strawberry rhubarb margarita might be good too? Thanks David😎😎
Lest see what I can do. I cannot get the Okanahan Sprigs spirits here. So I will have to figure something out.
@@boozeontherocks 👍
We just purchased a bartender kit and this'll be the first drink I try. Looks goo, you've earned a sub today cheers!
Thank you, I hope you enjoy the kit and the cocktail.
I make a variation of this which I call the Breaking Bad Margarita. Essentially it’s the same drink (same ingredients) but several hours prior to mixing I’ll take either a small Pyrex dish and place 1 cup of water and 1/2-3/4 ounces of Blue Curaçao in it and allow it to freeze. After the drink is made, I’ll take the now frozen water/Blue Curaçao and break it into shards and use the shards as a sort of garnish atop the drink
That is a great idea. I like it.
Good looking drink! I love tequila!
This one isrighth up your Ally Ulgarth.
I would have thought the lime would have turned it green. Glad it didn't!
Nope this stayed a nice healthy blue :)
Are you mixing paint
To ☁️ y
No thk u❤🎉😮
Altos is really delish! But do ppl know that whatever the tequila is, it *HAS TO BE* 100% de agave, so real deal stuff. Otherwise IMHO whatever floats your boat :)
Also agave syrup. Damn, game changer in margaritas! 🔥🔥
Good stuff David, once again!
Thank you very much. I doubt most people even consider the type of Tequila they use or that they should use Agave syrup. It makes sense to me.
Hallo uncle...

No, I am from Barrie, Ontario, Canada . Although I would love to visit.

Is there any substitute for the agave syrup
Sure, you could use a simple syrup but you would need to go to .5 oz/15 ml.
Great video, I enjoyed every bit of it and made it....
Question... how about a video of a cocktail with only juices and 2 kinds of rum... specially for those who would love a cocktail but don't really use much alcohol 🤔... oooyeah...by the way I'm new here just subscribed 😀 👍🏻

I like and I want to know how to make❤
Thnak you :)
to make a high glass does that meean double the amount of ingridients.
If you want this in a highball, you can use the same measurements. It will however depend on the size of the glass and the ice.
Выглядит норм
Спасибо!
Say what?
Do you really need to add syrup
Good question. You can omit that and try it. If you feel it needs it aftwards you can always adjust later.
Can I used lemon juice? Cause I've realized I've picked it by mistake instead of lime juice🤦🏾♀️
You can, use the same amount but lower the amount of Blue Curacao.
Wow. Today is Israel's independence day . Our flags color is BLUE . I have a bottle of blue curacao and now I have a great cocktail to go with it . THANKS as usual
Yosef, Happy Independence!! Enjoy the day and enjoy the cocktail!!
Can I make it without the syrup?
You can, You can use Agave syrup, but only 5 mils, However if you do not want any sweeteners you can drink it as is.
What is the brand of color blue please
I used McGuiness Blue Curacao. But you can use any Blue Curacao that is available to you.
@ Booze on The Rocks
Thank you so much for the info
@@boozeontherocks now I have ideas thank you so much for the info.
@@silvarositarosano8605 Your welcome.
Blue cocktails are the *_SHIT_*
You got that right!!
What are the measurements for a gallon ?
Well basically take everything and multiply it by 35, however you also need to add .5oz/15 ml water per servine to account for dilution. But that is a lot of Margarita. Drink responsibly
2 oz/60 ml Tequila x 35 = 70 oz / 2100 ml
1 oz/30 ml Blue Curacao x 35 = 35 oz / 1050 ml
1 oz/30 ml Lime Juice x 35 = 35 oz / 1050 ml
.25 oz/7.5 ml Agave Syrup x 35 = 8.75 oz / 262.5 ml
.5 oz/15 ml water x 35 = 17.5 oz / 525 ml
We had a big group of friends over and they loved it!!! Thank you so much 🎉

Were you peeing blue? I remember St. Pat's green beers peeing green.
@@itsallaboutthecocktail No, just super hung over. Enough that I just said "nope" to blue-coloured & flavoured things for some time after.
