Nemophila is well worthy of a rabbithole. Between their originals and their covers, they've cranked out a ton of material in a short time. Any song you choose next is worthy, but some of the usual picks are Dissension, Raitei, Oiran, Hypnosis, Hozuki (newest video). Monsters and Fighter are personal favs of mine too
NEMOPHILA formed by 5 veterans and well-known musicians in Japanese rock/metal scene who have mastered their arts over the years with decades of experience between them collectively. When NEMOPHILA first appeared on the scene, with both Japan's metal guitar goddess and drums goddess are among the line ups as permanent and founding member, the Japanese metal/rock scene know this band is not to be taken lightly. SAKI the guitarist probably steals the spotlight since she is the most celebrated metal guitarist in Japan, also a member of Marry's Blood and co-founder (with Frédéric Leclercq of Kreator) of AMAHIRU. She celebrated her 10 years anniversary since professional debut in 2020 and to commemorate that milestone, Killer guitar (her endorser) released KG-Fascinator Seven The Empress, which is her signature model, the 7 strings version. Her partner, Ibanez endorsed, Hazuki, is also on 7 strings with RG j.custom and Prestige. Their sounds are heavy with extra strings and the bassist Haraguchi-san also got extra strings on her Sadowsky RV5. The drummer Murata Tamu is the most veteran among them and had been rocking her drum set in the background of many successful artist/events since she was around 17 years old. She is one of the best session drummer in Japan with tremendous work rate covering various genres of music. She have had 6 successful solo live concerts under her belt before NEMOPHILA and the milestone was her 5th live concert held in 2018 to celebrate her entering 10 years of professional drumming. Well, genre wise, good luck on that 😅 I give you 3 points of reference, not by me but 'them'. They made the official live debut in 2019 during METAL WEEKEND 2019 at Zepp Diver City, Tokyo and appeared twice on two different day as the opening act for heavy metal legends Loudness and HAMMERFALL. On both occasions, the organizer introduced the band as the "Super Girls [Metal] Band". NEMOPHILA themselves described their music as mixture of various styles ranging from [loud rock] to [grunge]. So I guess they are not limited to certain genres but they just play [music] that they like. And they have a unique signature sound that will become familiar to you if you listen more of their stuffs.

I'm surprised you guys didn't come across them in your Babymetal journey. They did a cover of Megitsune and have a ton of covers out that are great fun. Speaking of starting at a young age, did U guys not check out Lovebites? One of their guitarists start learning piano at 3 yrs before picking the guitar up as a teenager. Her skill on both instruments is off the planet. If you ever get a chance to check out the track Swan song with Chopin into . Their are plenty amazing bands following on from Babymetal if you choose to journey down that route. The biggest trading after Babymetal would be Lovebites, Nemophila, bandmaid, well worth checking them out.

I'm a fan of both, Skye and Mayu, and I also think the same way as you :) Versatile and great singers. Also pretty and cute, but at the same time they kick ass.
One of the best from Japan! Excellent musicians and performers! They're not that young, both the singer and the drummer have kids. They've been in the business for a while (but in different bands), Nemophila started in 2019. The band is Nemophila (which is a type of flower also know as Blue-Eyes The location is Meiji Centenial observation tower in Futtsu Park Chiba Prefecture built in 1971. It is located in the South-east corner of Tokyo Bay. I feel for the gear guys that had to lug all their equipment up all these stairs!

This band is amazing! These women can shred ! The lead singer Mayu has a very great and unique voice IMO. You guys should check out more from them. They have done many very good covers on youtube and just released their first album which is one of the best albums I've heard in years. Try and check out Dissension or RAITEI and a good live one of them is OIRAN live at NAON YAON 2021 Blooming is another good live one too but they have plenty of songs to choose from. Hope to see you guys watch more of this band because you guys are going to love it. Oh by the way. Like I mentioned they have done a number of covers over the past two years too. Very good ones. That should be illegal and needs to be corrected immediately. There is so much great music from these three bands. For Lovebites watch their live performances of Thunder Vengeance and Holy War, the first two songs from their Zepp DiverCity concert in February, 2020. Both are on their CZcams channel. For Band-Maid watch their music videos for Warning and Manners and then go back to their live stuff, especially Onset. Manners is in my personal top 10 songs of 2021. Nemophila, are another female band from Japan that are taking on the void left by western metal bands since the 1980's. There is not much live material from Nemophila, which is an American blue flower, due to the pandemic. Nemophila have covered many rock songs as they have not been able to play live. I love Mayu. (singer) Her screams are strong and unique. I feel you guys are ready to meet the queen of the extreme scene. " Yu" from the band MergingMoon. Check out their song "Greyen" (Live) Oh btw...Nemo...They are a 5 piece. And the lead guitarist "Saki" has been playing since 2009 on the pro level. The other girls are former/current members of other bands as well. They are a super group of sorts. Still fairly new as a group. They formed back in 2019 with some covers. Including one of "Megitsune". They have another great original song "Dissension" that will knock your socks off.

Hilarious reaction! 😂 I felt the same, when I first watched this. 😁 I.m.h.o., Nemophila and Lovebites are the best Metal bands currently active. Followed by others, take Iron Maiden or Helloween. Other giants of Metal deserve every honor for their contributions (masterpieces included), but in my opinion Lovebites and Nemophila just took over. Lovebites made it to the top with 3 or 4 studio albums, Nemophila needed even less (as far as I know). It is just unbelievable. Stay positive, stay tuned! 🐺

I could be wrong, but I believe most members of the band were 28 at the time. Mayu, Saki, Tamu and Hiraguchi-san are about the same age. They have yet to play before a live audience since they became a full-time band in 2020. But they have a show scheduled for January in Japan (fingers crossed that it doesn't get cancelled). Also, guitarist Saki said in a recent interview that they are coming to play in the States as soon at they get clearance to do so. So get vaxxed.
Mayu and Haraguchi are the youngest at 24 I think, Saki recently turned 31 and Tamu is 29, the only one I'm sure because we're the same age xD Hazuki I have no idea
Nice reaction. They covered Megitsune by Babymetal. They've only been together for a relatively short time. But as you can tell tons of talent here. The guitarist Saki is a big Babymetal fan. In other videos you may spot her fox mask on the mic stand. She's made it no secret. Nemophila is not a Kawaii metal band. They're a metal band. Personally, I could do with a little less screeching. Her clean vocals are so much better. Sometimes less is more kind of thing for me. Use the screech to highlight things. Not whole verses. Arch Enemy could learn that lesson too. Along with a ton of other bands who have gone overboard with it. Metallica is one of the biggest metal bands ever. If you check their vocals not much growly growl or screeching, there. You want to be different but when you pigeon whole yourself into a tiny corner. There becomes a reason why you're not bigger than maybe you should or could be. Nemophila has great potential to be giants and they got a good start building their fan base online. I'm sure like many other Japanese bands they can't wait to get on the stage in front of a live audience. IMO when it's possible again Europe and the Americas are gonna get a flood of Japanese bands. What great time that will be.

You should check out "Tenohira De Odoru" by Sokoninaru. They're one of the best bands that no one has ever heard of, and they're the most original band I've heard in years.

They are not as young as you think. They are 30-ish in this video. The basist is a bit younger I think. Japanese have an advantage because music is a big part of their school training. Maybe every Japanese kid can play either piano or guitar. Moreover, three of the members are highly seasoned musicians. The drummer Tamu is top notch, the most experienced in the band. But the guitarist Saki is also very experienced and even the guitarist Hazuki.

I'm surprised you guys didn't come across them in your Babymetal journey. They did a cover of Megitsune and have a ton of covers out that are great fun. Speaking of starting at a young age, did U guys not check out Lovebites? One of their guitarists start learning piano at 3 yrs before picking the guitar up as a teenager. Her skill on both instruments is off the planet. If you ever get a chance to check out the track Swan song with Chopin into . Their are plenty amazing bands following on from Babymetal if you choose to journey down that route. The biggest trading after Babymetal would be Lovebites, Nemophila, bandmaid, well worth checking them out.

This band is amazing! These women can shred ! The lead singer Mayu has a very great and unique voice IMO. You guys should check out more from them. They have done many very good covers on youtube and just released their first album which is one of the best albums I've heard in years. Try and check out Dissension or RAITEI and a good live one of them is OIRAN live at NAON YAON 2021 Blooming is another good live one too but they have plenty of songs to choose from. Hope to see you guys watch more of this band because you guys are going to love it. Oh by the way. Like I mentioned they have done a number of covers over the past two years too. Very good ones. That should be illegal and needs to be corrected immediately. There is so much great music from these three bands. For Lovebites watch their live performances of Thunder Vengeance and Holy War, the first two songs from their Zepp DiverCity concert in February, 2020. Both are on their CZcams channel. For Band-Maid watch their music videos for Warning and Manners and then go back to their live stuff, especially Onset. Manners is in my personal top 10 songs of 2021. Nemophila, are another female band from Japan that are taking on the void left by western metal bands since the 1980's. There is not much live material from Nemophila, which is an American blue flower, due to the pandemic. Nemophila have covered many rock songs as they have not been able to play live. Not sure of their exact ages but they are all in their twentys and the drummer could of turned 30. I love Mayu. (singer) Her screams are strong and unique. I feel you guys are ready to meet the queen of the extreme scene. " Yu" from the band MergingMoon. Check out their song "Greyen" (Live) Oh btw...Nemo...They are a 5 piece. And the lead guitarist "Saki" has been playing since 2009 on the pro level. The other girls are former/current members of other bands as well. They are a super group of sorts. Still fairly new as a group. They formed back in 2019 with some covers. Including one of "Megitsune". They have another great original song "Dissension" that will knock your socks off.

I.m.h.o., Nemophila and Lovebites are the best Metal bands currently active. Followed by others, take Iron Maiden or Helloween. Other giants of Metal deserve every honor for their contributions (masterpieces included), but in my opinion Lovebites and Nemophila just took over. Lovebites made it to the top with 3 or 4 studio albums, Nemophila needed even less (as far as I know). It is just unbelievable.

I could be wrong, but I believe most members of the band were 28 at the time. Mayu, Saki, Tamu and Hiraguchi-san are about the same age. They have yet to play before a live audience since they became a full-time band in 2020. But they have a show scheduled for January in Japan (fingers crossed that it doesn't get cancelled). Also, guitarist Saki said in a recent interview that they are coming to play in the States as soon at they get clearance to do so. So get vaxxed.
Mayu and Haraguchi are the youngest at 24 I think, Saki recently turned 31 and Tamu is 29, the only one I'm sure because we're the same age xD Hazuki I have no idea

Nice reaction. They covered Megitsune by Babymetal. They've only been together for a relatively short time. But as you can tell tons of talent here. The guitarist Saki is a big Babymetal fan. In other videos you may spot her fox mask on the mic stand. She's made it no secret. Nemophila is not a Kawaii metal band. They're a metal band. Personally, I could do with a little less screeching. Her clean vocals are so much better. Sometimes less is more kind of thing for me. Use the screech to highlight things. Not whole verses. Arch Enemy could learn that lesson too. Along with a ton of other bands who have gone overboard with it. Metallica is one of the biggest metal bands ever. If you check their vocals not much growly growl or screeching, there. You want to be different but when you pigeon whole yourself into a tiny corner. There becomes a reason why you're not bigger than maybe you should or could be. Nemophila has great potential to be giants and they got a good start building their fan base online. I'm sure like many other Japanese bands they can't wait to get on the stage in front of a live audience. IMO when it's possible again Europe and the Americas are gonna get a flood of Japanese bands. What great time that will be.

Nemophila is a blue flower.
They are not as young as you think. They are 30-ish in this video. The basist is a bit younger I think. Japanese have an advantage because music is a big part of their school training. Maybe every Japanese kid can play either piano or guitar. Moreover, three of the members are highly seasoned musicians. The drummer Tamu is top notch, the most experienced in the band. But the guitarist Saki is also very experienced and even the guitarist Hazuki.
