Do you know this Antique Punch? - Restoration
    Hi, how are you doing?
In this video i show how to restore a Antique Punch.
This tool was used to make holes in paper in the past, unfortunately i couldn't find any information about the brand.
The Punch probably have 50+ years old.
To start the restoration i begin disassemble all parts with a hand drill and a plier, this step was not very hard but there was some parts stuckeds.
With the disassemble done i had to clean all with degreaser to make it more easer to do electrolysis.
If you want to know how to make electrolysis just take a look in this video - • How to make Electrolys...
I leave the parts on electrolysis for 12 hours, all the old paint and the rust leave the surface, i just washed all with hot water and a hand wire brush.
After this process i wheel brushed the parts in a benshgrinder to remove some remain of rust.
With all parts brushed i had to remake the nickel plate, first i washed the parts on a bath with water and hydrochloric acid.
I leave the parts on the bath for a few minutes, after that i put the pieces on the nickel solution one by one.
With all pars plated i started to polish them.
Now is time to paint, i make a base with 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of navy blue on the below part and 2 coats of sky blue on above piece.
    And all done to assemble.
To the assemble i just used a Plier and a hammer, it was not that hard to assemble.
And the restoration is done, perfect restoretion.
I also make a test time to see this tool working.

Good job. You need to oil the parts after electrolysis for prevent flash rust. You see rust is keep coming back. Oiling the parts will stop it. Love the colors, well done

Very nice job, man! I love that shade of dark blue paint on the base! Just think of how much more efficient you're going to be on all those occasions you need to punch two holes at once haha. Keep up the great work ❤

Miito bom este trabalho. Parabéns. Neste furador havia uma borracha embaixo, para recolher os papeis cortados. Trabalhei muito com um desses.
