I love that they used this song for the opening of the show, too, with the various paintings and photos of the characters over the ages. It works really well for the whole vibe of the movie and show, and I love it.
Or perhaps that's the reason why the guy is so silent and... Mentally tired. After all we know nothing of immortal psychology, what living this long can do to someone not meant to live past 100

Of course we're talking physical illnesses like shortened mental capacity due to long age and steady dying out of your brain cells (and a crapton of other tissues that never regenerate part adolescance). But we may be reffering here to memory overload. I mean the brain is meant to store a limited ammount of data, imagine living for over 8k years that's gotta be an astronomical ton of knowledge, knowledge your brain simply can't fit inside. So the brain would either overload causing dementia, or it would simply be dropping the load by forcefull forgetting. Basically a long-term alzheimer where you can't remember jack shit from 100 years ago and before.

This movie is sooooo underrated. I love this movie so much. I watch it twice a month. I never get bored watching this movie. I've even memorised almost every dialogues.😂😂

This is beyond well made, the illustrations and old photos then cut to creepy footage of Petyr just standing there looking ominous. hes easy the best part.
That's why I love stuff like this. Because I always like to think about what goes on behind the facade. Yeah, Vampires are scary monsters and all, but they are intelligent so must have private lives. To be krass, you can compare it to looking at Hitlers private live. Which, because he already knew it destroys the larger than life image, hekept pretty secret. But, in the end, as monstrous as he was, he was still a human. So like each of us, he had to sleep, brush his teeth, go to the restroom and did stuff in his free time like watching movies.
This is seriously one of the funniest videos I have ever seen. Set to Norma Tanega's "You're Dead", this thing has it all: vampires, Nazi vampires, 16 year old vampires, decadent baroque vampires, world war ii references (too soon?), etc...nailed the nail in the heart on this one!!!
The 2004 short version of this, like a rough draft, is fun to watch, and see how they transformed it into this polished, amazing version. GREAT work !!

One thing that confused me was that this intro clearly showed the vampires keeping up with the times, yet in the movie they act all confused about modern tech..
Maybe it's like a Boomer situation. They kept with the times when they were still having fun with immorally and blood sucking until they got sick of keeping track and just decided to stay stuck in a certain time.
How come when they finally get a camera, they're mesmerized that they can finally see themselves, yet the intro is just them in a bunch of different photos in different time periods
Probably the first digital/video camera. You can't exactly use a film camera to check your outfit, due to the time needed for film to develop. Even Polaroids like those shown take little while to shake and don't show that much detail
Disappointed we didn’t get a Deacon cameo in Jojo Rabbit, I could just picture him showing up near the end as one of the soldiers fighting the Russians and Americans
Came home from work one night and was wrecked tired, threw on Netflix rolled up a split and randomly decided to throw this on. So glad I did it was fucking hilarious and just smartly done, loved the concept of having the documentary crew following them around.
I hope if they ever release a collectors edition of the movie and/or show, that they add copy’s of those old photos of them. I love the ones from the show more…sadly lol
