This is super interesting for me to watch. I'm in my late 30's but I've just revently started really listening to Radiohead. I gravitated to In Rainbows immediately followed by TKOL and now Ok Computer. It's interesting that you describe In Rainbows as a mountaintop experience. That's where I started lol, and Im struggling to listening to their other albums, but I know eventually there will be a time for it.
Starting there is interesting, I started with OKC/The Bends which were kind of Radiohead’s beginning their creative ascent. In Rainbows might be their peak in terms of their abilities, but the thing about their music probably from OK Computer on is it really does keep evolving and maturing and innovating with each album and shirk/transcend a lot of expectations in terms of genre, musical trends, sonic textures, production techniques, instruments/sound sources, arrangement, and that’s not even touching on any of the lyrics.
I don't know how long you have been doing these videos but I've been watching them since the first one. Love the Radiohead passion
your radiohead covers and tutorials are the best on youtube
Yassssss!!!! Warren video + radiohead = a great saturday!!! Cheers bro
Quite a journey. Just got the 10” 45rpm. I loved it from the second play….an anxious background with a calming presence telling me it’s going to be ok, even in the gloom. It’s definitely a road trip record. I couldn’t shake this one for a long time.
Dude this comment just hit me like a brick. That's exactly what it is, an anxious background with a calming presence. I really appreciate that perspective, thank you
@@JamesRobert14 Kudos…what a record, what a band. I can’t help but revisit it often. Have you spent time with their live “From the Basement” performances of In Rainbows and King of Limbs?
i think she would have loved the basement version more.anyway have a nice day warren and don't take the youtube comments very serious some types in here are complete nuts haha
She's right. Ya'll should really listen to In Rainbows with a headset or earbuds. It would be dope to hear her take after each song.
Warren. It would be dope if you did a first reaction to The Smile album when it drops.
The thought right now is to listen in her car next because it has better isolation from road noise.
For the record, I listen louder than she does, the road noise is not an issue at the level I have the dial…
What was the order of discography that changed your life? Might listen to it myself!
OKC, TB, HTTT, KA, A, PH
