@@finbradford5387 I, too, love that scene! For a brief minute, Boromir's seen for the character he was before the corruption of the One Ring - a trusted ally, and a true friend with a heart of kindness to all - no matter how small.
The story is only good because it has such a fulfilling end, as all great stories do.
Right now I want it to end when I’m looking at Rings of Power. Don’t even care about the color of some characters, hair lengths or possible relationships. It’s heart wrecking to see a community, that was always so close, call each other racist, having to quote from books etc.. I like to remind people that The Hobbit was difficult for some, but in the end we’re all fans of this world. We all at some point wanted or will want this era not to end.

As much as I am a Tolkien fan, and as much as I wish he coined that, it's actually a quote from Homer.
This made me ugly cry. So much love, hope, joy, sadness and longing. How my heart yearns for a time gone by, for friends and loved one's lost and all that remains are beautiful memories made.

I can't stop watching this even though it makes me cry. The final part gets me - The start of LOTR means it has been 60 years since Bilbo lost his friends. Heartbreaking

Well... he doesn't actually lose them; he loses Thorin, Kili and Fili. At the end of the Hobbit book and at the beginning of the The Lord of the Rings book, it says that the dwarves had been visiting Bilbo throughout the years.
So, we all agree that when old boi bilbo is apologizing to Frodo in the fellowship of the ring, he’s apologizing to thorin for not being able to save him, right?
And when he says “I think I’m quite ready for another adventure” we all agree that he was seeing thorin’s spirit, and they were reunited on the voyage to the undying lands, right?
These movies were and are the best ever you really get caught up in the adventures of all the characters involved

AHHHHHH. no matter how many times I watch those movies, I always cry. The only reason I keep watching them is to hold on to the moments with them before the battle of the five armies, but it never lasts long enough.
It is a very beautiful and appreciated trilogy, indeed. I hope that we'll remember them cheerfully for generations to come!!!

Tolkiens tales, creation of all that exists will never be forgotten. I do believe, hope for ages to come that they'll still be enjoyed.
I grew up with the film's and books, my first tattoo was Tolkiens symbol on the bookspines. And they've given me hope when I had none, as well as friendship of those that never existed....unless you read the books.

@@SahandK Yeah, if all tears were an evil LOTR would have really turned me to the dark side :D There's something about it that just gets to me, both in the books and the movies, and I've never finished Return of the King (in either medium) without bawling my eyes out.

Eventho this is the thousand times I watch The Hobbit trilogy, it always makes my heart broke again. I can't imagine in Bilbo's position, how he lost Thorin, Fili, and Kili and living through the years abt the journey and all memories with them. If I was Bilbo, I could cry all night and die bcs of depression. Idk why but all these fictional trilogies living in my mind and heart

Okay so... just wanna say, thank you for making this. The song is perfect for the entire series and each character. I'm thinking of every instance of something new, a new chapter in each of their lives. Legolas and Gimli sailing to the Undying Lands. All the deaths. The happy, light-hearted moments. Each one is a chapter, a piece of their life, and while not exact to the books and the lore, the movies are their own piece.
Though I do often make AUs of this world in my head, I do love the originals. Even though I don't personally like the addition of Tauriel in The Hobbit.
