Highlights include the top-secret power of the M-Tank, oodles of tricks with Super Arrow, lots of nonsense with gravity switching, several objects that are not as solid/nonsolid as they appear, excessive goofing around with special weapons, alternative ways to go through the jet ski section of Wave Man stage, a few disappearing acts, and much more.

I thought I'd play around with the jetski glitch further. Turns out, when you "fall off the world" and can't make projectiles appear, you're actually simply in a different screen. You know this is true because you'll hear the sounds of Mega Man hitting the floor at strange times (congruent with where the floor goes down in adjacent parts of the level) if you just keep moving to the right after the jetski section ends.
If you disappeared off to the right, like you accidentally did in the video, the game thinks there's no more rooms and you can't advance further after a certain point. If you disappeared off to the left, and go far enough, the boss doesn't spawn when you reach the room. If you're close enough, the Wave Man does appear, but will sooner jump off the world and despawn (his health will drop to 0) than you'll be able to hurt him, or he freezes the game immediately. If you're actually pressing up against the boss door, though, and your projectiles can peek in, well, you can hurt him, but if you get hurt, the game just freezes (the music keeps playing, but projectiles, tiles and Wave Man will all just stop). Finally, if you cheat in order to kill Wave Man instantly, it plays the power absorption sound once aaand predictably softlocks.
I'd love to see that in action
Given what Woodfrog did with the glitches in Mega Man 4, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sequel Wars version of Mega Man 5 (Episode Proto?) lets you ride on a surfboard Oil Slider style if you try that glitch out.
I can't be the only one to notice this, but that pause tune at 2:22 is pretty spot-on! Goddangit your impressions of these things are oftentimes a source of amusement.

In games, moon jumping is when you can jump forever until you decide to stop :D

@GeminiLaser hey gemini i just wonder, how do u that in 6:00 when u *jump*? tried many times but always end up like 5:15 :/ u said that u need to jump to the next screen before u touch the water, i dont get how u jumped at 6:00 since the controlls stops after u slide

I believe the solid wall in Wave Man's stage is doing something sneaky- The game silently moves you to a version of the same room with the Jetski section loaded- At least, that's usually the reason older games do that.
It's not very well implemented, though...It's supposed to move all objects, but the objects still bounce off the "teleport walls"...

during my last replay I found out a nice trick. When fighting those "freezer-beam-mega-robot-bosses" in Wily's castle try using slide attack as the boss freezes you. While you're frozen you become invincible and the boss takes damage every time it hits you.
I just re-watched your run of Mega Man 5, again. I've seen other people play Mega Man, but none come close. You're awesome with the special weapons, while most other peoples only use them on the bosses. And the commentary is great, I laughed out loud several times. I just wished you'd upload more videos. I assume your plan is to go through all the Mega Man games.Will you also do some of the unofficial ones, like Days in the Limelight?

There's a glitch in Charge Man's stage, similar to the one in Wave Man's stage. If you use Super Arrow while sliding on the arrow at the top of the screen, you can pass over the loading zone leading to the interior of the train, and you can enter the area through the ceiling The graphics get all garbled and messed up, so that's why it's awesome. I believe it's TAS only, or just incredibly difficult to pull off.
1:51 ur answer to the question is simple if you didn't notice that the robot flickered make him verge between solid and non-solid. it was a 50% chance he wasn't solid and the arrow went throgh the enemy as if the enemy was a ghost or the computer register the enemy as not tangible for that split second and therefore the arrow went through him too. thats what i think happened.
I can't get that glitch in waveman's stage to work! Can you possibly help?
@GeminiLaser I think Dr. Wily, in Mega Man 1 not only stole the 6 Robot Masters, but also stole some teleportation data which lets him teleport Robots, but it was under developed and was super huge and not at all convienent, but as tim progressed, the teleporter got more portablized, and Dr. Wily put the teleporter data inside the penguins.... Atleast, that's my theory.
Even Gemini laser makes the bad weapons look good.

@1:31, there's a little trick you can there. If you go on top of the drill-thing, you will have to slide to stay on top of it, but it's really difficult. I died a lot trying. You should probably try it if you want.
I think I found another one.
On Wave Man's stage in the Bubble section, when you're at the top of any screen, jump up so it's like you should be going to the next screen, but you go through the bubble.
It's a little hard to explain.

Megaman gets sent to another dimension all those times he disappears from the screen and isn't dead.
9:15, that final glitch. It seems like you somehow activated some sort of debug mode, though I can't even think of why. that screen scrolling looks like it's designed for looking over the design, rather than actual in game scrolling. You easily notice that the screen is moving super quickly compared to normal. just a thought

@GeminiLaser I think that the infinite penguins come from those giant penguin robots in Mega Man 3. How do they not run out of penguins?
If you haven't figured out that last glitch, it might be because you shot the Napalm Bomb at the exact same time you collected the weapon energy. Or at least that is my theory.
Hum how did you actually get beat (the bird) without collecting the letters?

If you pause at 9:26, you can another glitch in the middle of your scrolling glitch: enemy walking on air. :O
When the napalm bounced it was not off the latter, it was off the drill thing's head.
Hey, am i the only one who noticed that the enemies in the water part ARENT completely unneffected? I think the data for the enemies to be defeated was only coded for the megabuster, since the watermobile doesnt switch weapons like megaman, so only megabuster data was to kill them

in mega man 4, in dustmans stage, you get hit by a hardhat (met) shot when you are being crushed you will get shoved out and wont die.
Have you considered showing your videos to Mike Matei and James Rolfe? They're in for a shock with those Megaman glitches!
I blame the glitch for Mega Man's sudden dissapearing from the existance.
