    Wow, you are bringing back lots of older techniques. Being in Arizona, I also use my cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I don't worry about the excess moisture in my machine after wiping it off as I put it outside for a few minutes....poof, it's dry!

    • @Chrissieannie
      @Chrissieannie  Před 2 lety +3

      Fortunately there's no electrics in a Cuttlebug to get affected by water ingress. I have a really old Cuttlebug that I keep for messy pressings!

    I’m going to try this with an embossing folder as I don’t have a stamp like that. Also as you mentioned I will try very carefully tearing the edge away whilst it’s wet instead of cutting as this might create a nice distressed edge. Thank you so much for the idea and tutorial 😘😘

    Hi Christine 🥰🙏🦘🦘🦘My Friend from Wiltshire sent me your video today. Love the technique & you made a beautiful card from your creation.
    I have used the backing layers from serviettes to do that in a 3D embossing folder & made the image into a frame for a sepia childhood photo from the 1950s. I layered a small oval diecut to fit an oval aperture cut in the centre. I coloured it with copper acrylic paint without watering it down & when totally dry, I put in into a glassless metal frame with the photo attached behind the aperture. It turned out really well. TFS how to make this pretty, embossed panel using toilet paper.

      @Chrissieannie  Před 2 lety

      There must be many variances of the method for this technique. White glue would leave a slightly shiny finish, it depends on the finished look one fancies. I used white glue all the time in so many projects when I was teaching in primary school! Thank you 😃

    It reminded me of how handmade paper can be made. The wet paper pulp is pressed into a mold, flattened, and left to dry. That's the basic, unsophisticated way to make paper. I'm making a note of this one to try it. I've got a lot of stamps that are designed to leave the negative image unstamped - what a good way to use them!
