Great video mate and good tip on the cases. Always good if you get a beat up game from the bootsale to trade in. I’ve actually bought PES 2009 in store and swapped a case to trade in 😂
My cex doesn't seem to care if cases or inlays are damaged at all when trading in. I just take all my poor condition fodder there now and they accept it all. But yea defo good to look out for the minty 50p sports games for case swaps. Shame they never have 50p PS1 games aha

@@TOMS_TAT ahh tell me about it lol! I’ve been picking up cheap ps4 controllers to take into cex and if it’s a colour I don’t already have I get tempted to keep it but then I think about what if I find a cool Steelbook I really want as I collect steelbooks 🤪🤪
I thought I recognized the auction house! I used to go there every week back when it was in the center of town, got some great bargains bidding from the pub across the road.

No you can't just ask. Its unlikely you'll be able to get anything. I'm very lucky to have my contact.

Search google for local auction houses. There are loads of them. If none are local you can view and bid online.

I have quite a few black disc games I need to check....I am also looking for a mini disk...the disk, I have a player, but ex took all the disks...prat! if you come across any, I only need 1 to test it still works......your doing great hun...keep on doing what your doing...excellent vid content! :)
If your looking for a cheap PS1 just for testing I have one that works but most of the screws that hold the shell together have snapped off so I could sell it cheap. I do have a few others for sale too. Give me a message on Instagram if your interested.

I was selling stuff on eBay before I went full time, but after going full time I sold stuff within an hour of listing it. Can't remember what it was though.

You could have tested those ps4 Controllers with your phone trough gamepad tester apps !
Definetly would have gotten more money!

Hi mate. I'm just curious, why do you trade in at Cex with some items rather than listing everything on Ebay? Surely the mark up on the latter is higher? I know Cex can be pretty tight with their pricing offers.
I used to just do this as a hobby. So I traded most stuff into CEX in my older videos. but now I put most of it on eBay as i'm a full time reseller now.
However sometimes it is still worth taking stuff to CEX. Sometimes Cex actually give a better price than ebay for certain things. Also if I have games in poor condition, manuals/inserts missing, damaged cases etc I offload them at CEX as they dont care so much about condition. Bad condition and manuals missing needs to be stated on an eBay listing which drops the price and the quality of your stock but CEX will give you the same price for a game no matter what the condition is.

maybe worth looking into a disc resurfacer i have a jfj pro really good for older games bit hit or miss on newer discs but worth having for reselling
Yea I defo want to get a disc re-surfacer with the amount of games i'm going to be selling. I'd like a really good one but they cost thousands!

Yh I've not really had a problem with the JFK other that with the new disc you can't be to aggressive with them if they don't work after one run then it is what it is but on Wii games for example you can use the sanding attachment to remove all the scratches and it doesn't damage the discs I use meguire polishing compound as it's better than original but it's been a game changer in terms of monkey I can make from a decent bundle

I've just started reselling part time first month ive made 1035 om ebay so around 500-550 profit mark maybe slightly more.
Main question i have is how do you speed up postal time or is therr a more efficient way. At the moment my best day i sold 12 items and after ive wrapped them all up posting them all individually at a post office took a good 10-15 mins. If i did reselling full time and had 20+ orders in a day, whats the best way how to send parcels without wasting too much time at a post office or courier service.
Purchase the labels online and buy a label printer. Much quicker. Also avoid royal mail and use drop off parcel services like evri.
royal mail collect from home for free too. Saves a lot of time having to go to post office

It's just something you learn over time. But you can scan games with the CEX app which tells you their rough value.

It was working when i was testing it but then it shut off and wont power on now. I'm going to try and fix it but I think i'm going to keep it as I'd like one for my collection too.

The clock capacitors die on them. It can be catastrophic if it’s been leaking a long time, but if you’re lucky and it’s only just gone, you might be able to clean it up and get it going again. Lots of vids on YT.

Really think selling to CEX is a bad idea, from a business perspective you would be so much better off putting items into bundles and either auction them off or use buy it now, CEX is an easy alternative for quick money but not a good business idea, it does not make any sense.
I dissagree. For some items you right but with games I find its worth doing as on ebay there's hundreds of people selling the same thing and undercutting each other. Sometime cex give a better price. For the amount of work involved in listing and posting games individually your better off trading them in for an instant sale and zero work. I use my vouchers to buy things I need as well. I bought my go pro, a new phone, a laptop etc and the amount I paid for the items to get those vouchers is far less than what I paid. For instance I spent £30 at a carboot and traded them in to buy a £200 camera.
Also with ps4 controllers for instance cex give you £30 voucher when they sell on ebay for £30. The work involved in cleaning and testing it and listing, posting, fees etc I may as well just trade it in.
Cex also don't care about condition of cases or is manuals are missing so I off load all my incomplete and bad condition games too.
