Would you consider testing the karamja glove method for viability? I am curious what the xp/hr is and if it's worth doing over gotr or lavas
I hate when people argue in favor of bots that they are essential for keeping supplies affordable, because people don't want to farm them... BUT PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO FARM THEM BECAUSE PEOPLE BOT THEM! If prices went up, players would see they could profit from stuff on their own and they would start farming it on their own, and the prices would balance out.

I doubt many mains likes to grind dozens of hours CG, pickpocketing elves/vyres, or runecraft. Most mains nowadays don't do money-making, but instead prefers to do more fun content such as skilling and bossing - which also yields gp.

You can swap left click of the wrong ladder to "walk here" so u dont need right click the correct ladder
Tips and tricks to improve XP-rates:
Set left click to "walk here" on the wrong ladder.
Set left click to "walk here" on Kaleb.
Set left click to Kaleb on achievment cape.
Move inventory closer to the bank interface so your pouch(es) (inventory) and essence (bank) are next to each other.
Remove placeholder for cape/pouch(es) in bank and fill your bank.
Use screen markers to mark deposit, essence and equipped cape tele (also mark contact npc spell if using it to repair).
Use the "Runecrafting Utilities" plugin on Runelite, this plugin sets left click on pouches to "fill" as default and "empty" when near an altar.

I love this method. I remap the F keys to my mouse, put on a movie, and come back to a few mill in nature runes.

I like doing wrath runes personally, you just need the mythical cape and the run from the ladder to the cave is one click for 18 seconds. Only thing is the dragons will chip you down if you're not praying melee so it's not completely safe like natures but you can just rejuvenation/desert ammy.
you can also left click diary cape to teleport you there without the menu popping up.
menu entry swapper -> item swaps -> checkbox teleport submenus at the bottom

Back in the old days, like even before the abyss, and I used to craft Nature runes for money, on a bad day I could make 2k and get a mill. The speed I see you runecrafting at angers me. You get 1k in like 4 trips.... Must be nice. I remember when Teleblock came out, me and my friend both crafted like 10k natures throughout the school week, 5 days, playing like 4 to 6 hours a day, getting up early to play before school and it looks like you can craft that in like 30 minutes.
im not sure if you have done blood runes with the shortcuts and new blood altar, but you should try that one day :)
you can now have menu entry swapper left click specific teleports on the achievement and max capes (Menu Entry Swapper -> Item Swaps -> Teleport submenus) so you don't have to left click and hit a specific number for the Kaleb Paramaya tele for example, can just left click

Im an ironman 99% of the time and the amount of bots annoys me so much.
Jagex’s first priority is their revenue from bonds and membership. Their 2nd priority is taking care of the in game economy. I’m not sure how much they make off of membership for bots, but I imagine it is quite a bit. They balance the bots to allow the economy to remain seemingly stable, while still taking in the money for their memberships. If any of us owned the game and had a lick of sense, we’d probably do the same thing.

Why didn't you use achievement diary cape to teleport to Desert for banking? That 1 slot is significant over 10 hours and the bank chest is just as close, if not closer.

Hello sir, how do you think that now jagex is banning for killing other players who are supposedly moderate bots who are clearly in the desert, and my question is how when doing pvp and we want to kill a lower lvl player to more comfort, for example a revenant farmer we can't because we don't know if it is a bot or not and if it is they will ban our account, I think that if they are in the desert they can die like any other player
Where did you hear that jagex will ban you if you kill a bot in the wilderness?
I have to assume the "real people" getting banned are getting banned for "player griefing", as in they killed the same mod bot player repeatedly for like 1hr+, not on their first time.
Player griefing afaik is bannable and ruins aspects of the game like revs.
Besides those "players" were probably actually running bots, they're just saying that to get the mod bots removed haha.

I wish we'd just be given a copy of the august 2007 port, call it Oldschool Classic, never update it again, and call it a day after banning bots once per week.
That would get thousands of players daily that can learn how the game was meant to be played, not spawn free items by being braindead.

@@EriconatorV2 Original classic had over a thousand people online (with rare strict accounts old enough to access it) when they closed it down a few years back, to save like $20 a month on a server and force all players to either "get with the times or quit" essentially.
If we had a 2007 version of classic instead of 2001, that's six more years of content up to barrows gloves, fire cape, barrows sets, whips. All you ever need. Thousands of people would be on every day making the game their own just like when OSRS came out in 2013 until it got over-updated in 2014.
The issue is they pushed OSRS to the mobile era of braindead children younger than the game itself, or people with brains worse than said children, and aside from bots that's most of the new players you see or hear from... voting on our game's future. Deciding what we get and when, but not a single "why". When they even decide to poll it anymore, but they're not even polling forced combat system changes which... we know where this is going my guy. They're bound to either ruin this game in the next 2 years or re-purpose an older version to save it. Why not make that step now is how I see it.

I replied to the guy above you yesterday but for some reason the site felt like removing my comment... let me sum it up:
Jagex removed the original 2001 classic server which had hundreds of people on it the final week (which was very rare to have accounts able to access it), to save like $20 a month on a server cost. They really did it to push people towards their newer games, being Oldschool mainly. Oldschool has almost nothing old in it anymore, through the years with forced changes and unpolled updates and obviously biased ones, and rigged events, and rigged polls during the revenant era, and... sigh. We're even getting Sailing if the game lives to see that.
With Mobile coming out to phones and ipads and all, they added an infinite fire to Barbarian Village silently among other things. F2P can get better xp rates than people at Shilo Village in P2P when it comes to Fishing and Cooking.
They pushed for half of this game's existence to end the game faster, by targeting the game to people as young as the remade game's age instead of the people who played the original RS. People that are 10 with a month experience on an old phone in this game are voting on the game's future while most people 20-35 that played half their lives and spent hundreds of real dollars on membership in the past have no power or valued opinions anymore in the present.
There is about 40,000 people on OSRS with a max cape. Almost half of A HUNDRED THOUSAND accounts have 99 in EVERY skill, on the game that's 10 years old. If players are that insane and spend that much time on skills, then continue to do so, there's nothing to worry about when it comes to "end game content". Instead of cutting mushrooms and dogshit forestry minigame puzzles, they can cut willows in Draynor again and be happy, relaxed and feel at home.
If a server was based on the 2007 port, even with no future updates, you still have full Barrows/Whip/DFS/rangers/robin/diamond bolts/ice barrage/blood barrage, piety... barrows gloves... hundreds of hours you need to spend to earn what's the best supplies. Hundreds of hours training and planning how to earn them. Anyone who hears it'll not be shut down for 5+ years would enjoy investing that time into the game knowing they have their friends and community and likeminded players surrounding them. People would pay real money every month to keep it.
There would be a thousand, up to five thousand I'd estimate, online daily if they knew Oldschool was staying OLD. The name itself doesn't deserve to be there. OSRS should just be called RS2 and Oldschool RS should be a 2007 port of the game in my opinion.
@turnermd1302 CZcams removed my comments twice so I'll just sum it up:
-Half the game is full of players on mobile that are barely as old as oldschool is, and have easier methods than 90% of original RS had at the time it's based on.
-A good portion of the polls and updates are decided before they happen, and half the voters are children being swayed by their favorite video maker(s) to change the game.
-Within the first 2 years they expected OSRS to die so they pumped unnecessary content in the game (Nieve's cave original, kraken boss, so on) and took years to reverse it.
-There is about 40,000 maxed accounts on OSRS. Meaning people continue the game after maxing and finishing "end game content".
If people were told Oldschool is going to actually be and stay Old, and OSRS turned into RS2 while a 2007 copy was made for the few thousand people who want that, call it Oldschool Classic, it would go on for years. Hundreds, if not over a thousand players working on their own personal goals every day. There's barrows equipment, piety, ice barrage, whips, dfs's, everything you'd ever need or want. And if you want more, you don't belong on the true old version of the game. It's an insult to keep calling OSRS Old because there is more new things than there ever will be of old.
