Learn about where your family's milk comes from. Meet the Carr Family (Westmoreland County) and take a look at Turner Dairy Farms process from the farm to bottle!
I grew up in Penn Hills and went to school next door to the farm. There was a hole (I didn't do it) cut in the fence of the school and we used to sneak over to the farm. I remember seeing little baby chicks in a clear round bowl covered case that I think was also in the same building where we could watch the cows get milked. There were kittens (pretty sure that I took a kitten home with me) here and there on the farm. I also remember seeing the birds that were in cages... I remember there being one that was very loud and beautiful when it spread its long stems of wings - a Peacock. We walked from there down to the store where we could get an ice cream cone. I was just a little girl then. 60 something now. Great memories visiting the farm.
I grew up near the original Turner farm in Penn Hills and in fact rode the school bus with one of the boys. Our school sent us on a tour for a field trip, complete with free ice cream. I always know when I go back home to visit and have some of that Turner's milk it is going to be good.
I used to walk through that dairy to go down to the 7-eleven at times from Dible school wasn't nice smelling the cows while we went to school those years there
So I'm going to be that guy you do know this series that you made shares a name with one of the most famous white supremacist novels? The Turner diaries um so your family name is actually Turner right trying to give you the benefit of the doubt but ehhehehe
