This is how folk have played fair for decades! X3. ……and to this day, folk still play all kinds of games behind the scenes, with the intent to “win” aka get their way. Fortunately Time has broken up the monotony on such behaviors. As the need for folk (these days) to outwardly do (without remorse) that which was once normalized and practiced “behind the scenes”……….shows how society (on a whole), has evolved. As generational curses aren’t only exclusive to one’s family and genes.

Not just her court/attorney cost. He should be required to pay all expenses for this entire trial. He just wasted, probably several million dollars of taxpayer's money. Attorney's fees, prosecutor and their staff's salary, the Judge and court staff and all the witnesses on both sides. Then throw in the jury's cost (time off work or away from their own lives, travel, food etc.) Trials like this, the cost always runs into the millions.

So if you work for the police and you do something wrong. They just transfer you over to a different location? How does that fix the problem of having a bad individual? Can you imagine if that worked for every job? Of course nobody fears doing anything wrong because there seems to be no real consequences for those who work in police. If it's governed by the city and state, there should be regimented stiff penalties for breaking code of conduct. And you should having legal action held against you, your pension stripped away and fired if you did something illegal that pertains to the job. If this was implemented imagine how many people would take the job more seriously and think twice before breaking the law or misbehaving. There's basically no penalties when something like this happens. Broken systems in this country leads to broken individuals.

Wish it was like that in the real world. Instead of getting laid off for corporate greed like most of us do, imagine if you just got relocated at the same pay rate every time a CEO wants to appease his shareholders. Even the notion of getting fired for being bad at a job, is insane to think the company firing you would want to keep you as an employee, and will just send you to a new location to continue your bad work.

A person gets a jury of 12, if it's not unanimous..that's your reasonable doubt and it should be done unless you can prove jury tampering.

Did not seperate witnesses to interview them…. So much more. This whole police department is corrupt. There have been other cases from this department. I wonder what actions this man took that caused the mistrial. Criminal investigations are a team effort. You have the detectives, forensics and depending on the case other specialist's and yet somehow this man is the cause of the mistrial. Perhaps he is, but it would be interesting to know how, or at least their theory regarding it.

The PD makes it sound like they were intending to relieve him prior to the court case.
But the prosecution wouldn’t want the Key Investigator to be on the record as Relieved Of Duty, so they left him until after the court case.
But think about that. If there was enough concern to contemplate relieving him, shouldn’t that happen immediately? Irregardless of what cases are pending.
How many other cops have testified against people, while those cops had concerning work behaviour?
This is why I 100% disagree with PDs conducting Internal Investigations.
Plus the internal investigation typically drags on for 2-3yrs (5yrs was worst I’ve heard of). All while the cop being investigated is still receiving Full Pay plus Benefits!
Where despite finding evidence worthy of dismissal, to not damage pending cases the PD allows the cop to discreetly quit. But only after the disgraced cop has collected a few years extra wages.
