This is the version with the Plane Crash Blues ending. I’ve never heard Will play Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales the way it is in the recording. It’s always the Plane Crash Blues ending.

Will has always done that, in his earliest albums he re-recorded songs that he felt werent good enough, Teens of Style is an example of this as it has many remastered versions of his older songs

Dabry Abby no it's because of the way that he made it here from such humble beginnings, he started out as a typical bandcamp musician and released 9 albums on bandcamp until he finally got the record deal with Matatdor, where he released teens of style and teens of denial, so basically he pretty much got here by pure grinding and hard work on his music, which is admirable

And he totally deserves it all. Teens of Denial is amazing and his discography has so many highlights

I love both versions of this song. I also freaking love "Plane Crash Blues" but that's a deep cut off of Nervous Young Man and I don't think a lot of people have heard it, so it's cool to hear it repurposed here. Will's such a creative guy, super proud of him.
Will's voice isn't controlled live like it is in studio recordings. I really like that.

I'm always psyched when a deserving band makes it on national television, but man, it must be hard playing on a stage that reminds you of an American Idol stage while all dolled up by network beauticians.

it used to be a solo project and the singer released like 10 albums without ever touring and he was only talked about on reddit for a long while before all this but also because his songs are very real and personal and feels kind of odd on late night tv but like i said it's also really cool cause as a fan i got to see them grow and expand and thank god more people are going to start listening to them now cause they're just brilliant

I think it was a good way to highlight the entire band and not just the lead singer, since the original was mostly just the singer. When given the opportunity it was shared among the entire band.
So glad that they're finally getting recognized!

i love watching the members of the roots get into the song, there are moments where they have facial expressions like "ooooh this is a SONG song" cant imagine how good that must feel
i am so beyond proud of them. i heard the song "bodys" from twin fantasy quite a bit ago, and loved it, but never really checked out the band. i only ever really got into them when this album released and anthony fantano gave it a great review, and immediately fell in love, and now ive listened and relistened to all of their albums. proud to say that theyre my favorite band in the world, and probably will be for a long, long time. such a phenomenal group of (nervous young) human beings.

Herman K Randall I must admit I only found them after Vincent was released, but since I didn't have money to buy Teens of Style, the first stuff I really listened to from him was all the prematador stuff. Anyone who doesn't listen to that stuff is missing out, especially Twin Fantasy, which is up there for favorite albums of all time.

I didn't like Car Seat Headrest. Not even sure why. I like a lot of very similar bands, this one just didn't hit right. But one day, probably about a year ago, I was at karaoke night at a bar. And it's this weird little gay bar, so of course someone queues this song for karaoke, and the second I ever heard of this song was this drunk person singing it badly with everything in their soul. And in that moment, on beer #5, I finally understood. Completely reset Car Seat Headrest in my brain. Love this band now.
