Most of the time, we end up anchoring our emotions to whatever is present when we create those chemicals. Which is how we accidentally give the other person credit for "making me happy". When in reality, YOU created the happiness chemicals in your own brain. He just happened to be in front of you (or in your thoughts) when you created those chemicals.
So even though it probably feels like they made you happy, that's actually impossible, because they aren't connected directly to your brain.
So YOU made the happiness. All they did was give you the circumstances to get you to allow yourself to have the permission to create the happiness chemicals.
You actually made yourself happy. And then gave them credit for making you happy.

It’s a third party issue here. My husband left me, asked for a divorce saying he is unable to trust me. He had always been very aloof in this marriage, never seemed very happy in this 5 yrs of marriage. I thought he was changing in recent times, when he showed some involvement. I was happy and then suddenly he asked for a divorce over a small petty matter. Got to know he is seeing a 19 year old girl and does not want this marriage. It’s a heartbreak as I always loved him and have been giving and mature. And now he gets to decide that he’ll walk away? He seems happier with that girl but tbh that girl will just play him.
