      Same with the c5s in general in my opinion I actually like the fast back look better on the base c5 and since the motor is almost exactly the same I actually prefer base c5 builds

    My only complaint on this video Chris, you didn't show actually installing the headers AT ALL. Headers don't just generally fall into place. That's what most people come to see in a video with a title like this and you didn't show it. Just a suggestion for any future header install videos you may do.

    Hey man just a heads up the mid pipe is installed upside down, (water condensation will mess up the sensors) also the rear O2 sensor wires are supposed to be crossed from left to right not straight. One of the many wonders of C5 engineering ;-)

      Yep, we realized that after we noticed the exhaust tips were offset. Will get it switched around.

    Sounds like a tractor 😂 I had a buddy that deleted secondary catalytic converters and then went with an X-pipe into Borla XR-1 mufflers -- AMAZING sound!

    Chris, you nerd .to wear safety glasses when working under a car. It is really easy to get dirt or rust from the undercarriage in your eyes then a trip to an eye surgeon to have it removed. I learned this lesson he hard way!

    Every Corvette from the factory should have headers. Number One bolt on improvement for all Vettes. Cold Air Intake and Corsa exhaust complete the deal.

      trying to find the perfect package for my 01 Z im getting...hear good things on corsa.exhaust..but maybe texas speed headers?and what brand CAI?

      @@George-on3zm I got kook's headers on mine. No real reason except they're very well known with a great history. See if Dupont still makes intakes. Not sure about that. Might sell them on eBay. If so, that's what I would buy. On exhaust, you can't get any better than Corsa sport or extreme.

    Great video once again Chris. When I did my exhaust the worst part was the manifolds for sure. You guys took care of it like nothing and I was ready to quit on mine after a while 😅

    Hi Chris,
    I like your channel and you have some good info!
    Before you end up with a permanent eye damage, you should where safety glasses when you work under a car.
    OR you will end up like me with a scratch in one of them and it does just like a scratch in you windshield when the sun is in your face.

    Definitely agree with commenters below about eye protection. After you’ve had metal scraped out of your eye you always wear it under a car.

    Nice! I loved hearing my old Camaro SS with no exhaust on when I put my Corsa Catback in! Sounds like a damn Cup Car!
    Now to get the exhaust on my 2012 Grand Sport! Maybe just wait for headers and the works. Just tired of the OEM silence.

    Hi Chris, you might want to wear safety glasses when you are working under the car! I learned the hard way when I got rust stuck in my eye and had to have an ophthalmologist remove it!

    Chris I know this was an older video but it showed up in my feed so I watched it. Was the QuickJack all the way up? I am thinking about buying but, It looked cramped under there. Maybe camera angle but I am looking for room under the car. Like you, I don't have the ceiling height for anything but something like the QJ.

      It goes up about 18”. It doesn’t sound like a lot but I can do just about anything. I’ve seen guys take transmissions out using QJ.

    Im about to install my headers just waiting for them to come in. How many inches off the ground would you say i need? I dont have a lift and my jack stands go 18 inches.

      Depends on what headers you got. If they install from the top, like I. This video, you should be ok. If they install from the bottom, you will need more.

    Hope you put the Oxygen sensor in the right one put them in the way you took them out left bank and right bank front or rear don’t want to mix them up. Hell just drive it with headers only , forget the “X” pipe

      I’ve seen people demonstrate intentionally trying to push a car over on Quick Jacks and it didn’t budge, sonI trust them.

    Another great video, but I got to say that headers provide the least return on time and money spent
    than any other performance mod, IMO.

    Also just a heads up for everyone who owns a vette any time it goes up in the air open the doors. You can damage the car by leaving the doors closed

      That is only in you are lifting one aide or one corner of the car. If you are lifting the entire car evenly it is unnecessary.

      Craig Creegan when I did my full length exhaust it took me like 3-4hrs. The longest part is the headers for sure and most of my time was figuring out what needed to be taken off since I didn’t have a how to video or book. I’d say it’s possible to be done in an hour or two if you know what you’re doing

      If you plan on doing the axle back exhaust, you have to jack the car up ridiculously high to be able to get it over the axles. I’d suggest using a lift but it’s possible (kinda dangerously) with a jack and some wood on the jack.

      @@matthewfain3289 I just cut the stock axle back pipes so they came out easy. No need to get the car on a lift. Just jack stands.

      I would like to see some more of that car. I have a C5 Base. I’m trying to order some headers and a Catless midpipe from Corvette Mods. But they haven’t replied to my email or answered my calls. Because they’re is suppose to be free shipping. But I’m curious to see how loud that setup is. And if there’s any drone.

    Your friend has a nice 2004 Z06, but the undercarriage looks cleaner than the engine bay. Spend time between adding mods cleaning the engine.

    You guys, meaning the ones that put together good videos and make money doing it, take such stupid brain dead risks with your eye sight, not just you, others do it too. They can fix a lot of stuff on the human body, but they haven't got to eyeballs yet. Wear safety glasses!

    Looks “caramped” under there! My neighbor has a similar rramping system totally lifts the car to walk under height. Claims he paid $3200 for it.

    This guy is working on a car that has a height above ground of 4 inchs…..With no jack stands......Are you kidding...nice lifts but no locks and air driven...hose breaks ...he is dead....okay now I will watch …...

      Wrong, it has 2 locks and it’s hydraulic. I have a video dedicated to how safe the Quick Jack is. Go watch it.

    F your Z06 a true Corvette is a convertible, you think they only made a ZO6 why see if I can do anything your Z06 can do and I have a lot more fun with mine.
