I'd sign Kane to a 3 yr deal at $ 2 million a yr, he can help teach these young kid's the Ropes of playing in the playoffs and help them at every aspect of the game, so yes why not give him another shot and see what he brings to the Rangers.

For everyone downplaying Kane let me say this.... He has averaged a goal a game in all his playoff games and EVEN with a fucked up hip he almost averaged a point a game in the devil series we lost. He has a lot to give and wherever he ends up that team will greatly benefit. He's what the rangers need in the top 6.

Kane also had a chance to go back to NYR and went to DET instead after the surgery as an UFA for 2.75m$ in a 1 year contract

Kane might help the power play (like Bobby Rousseau when he came over from the Canadians) but, I would be leery of his health issues.

Kane is not what the Rangers need. It's a young man's game. Bring up youth, trade for more prospects, and add size and grit for the playoffs.
