the first clip... why is that a penalty? why is he considered 'a passer' when he's that much outside of the pocket? hes a runner at that point. when you hold the ball trying to get an extra yard thats the risk you take. as annoying as these calls can be I still understand why they do it. football with bad QBs is not entertaining to watch at all. Its in everyones interest QBs stay healthy, maybe this is just an unavoidable side effect.
i think it was also the helmet to helmet that occured
@@emblem3298 he didnât hit him in the helmet. It was right in his chest
@@keanandarnell8709 I believe the referee thought it was helmet to helmet. I thought it was that until that last angle.
@@kinglegolas8987 true. I personally think it was just how hard Davis hit him. If it wasnât that hard they wouldnât have even thought to throw the flag, I think since he flew back and it looked like a hard hit kinda just forced them to throw it

The fact that itâs only getting worse as the season progresses is insanity.
It always does. And one of these refs is the son of one of the greatest of all time.
Fr soon these videos will be 20+ minutes đłđ€Łđ€Ł
Or an indication of some foul playâŠ
Man I feel like we as NFL fans say this every year
It really is crazy at this point, how many times we tell ourselves "It can't get any worse" ... then the next year comes and we're all made liars
The fact that there have been five 14+ minute videos out of just 6 weeks should be indicating something
14 minutes out of several hours of games
Itâs just of week 6.
@@Cynical496 Plus the 5 other videos on this channel
@@BWEEOOP oh I read it wrong. And yeah, then in post season, they literally will call nothing.
@@Cynical496 theyâre too scared of making a horrible call in a game that matters the most so their solution is to just call nothingđ
It is a damning indictment of the referees that every week there are 10 or more minutes of them failing to do their job. I'm glad that commentators are finally beginning to call out how bad the refs are at their jobs.
It seems to me like the Monday night commentators are sycophants to the officials. There were plenty of bad calls during the Monday night game, but the sportscasters pretended like all calls were fine.
Same. When they 'protect the shield' even though the rest of the world can see what just happened, that's an insult to the viewers intelligence. Glad to see some announcers coming around a bit and keeping it real over business.
Amen, these kinda refs make bad clowns to
@@tannerargyle2708 the giants ravens game the announcers were calling out the officials left and right
Since we have an abundance of experts here, feel free to contact your states high school association to start your careers.
Also the announcers are not officials. Put them on the field. They wouldnât make a 2nd game.
The scary thing is that there were many horrific calls that are not in the video. I can't remember a worse year for bad calls.
The house always wins
There was a call on the Niners game where Jimmy G threw a long pass, it was caught, but then there was a bs holding penalty, costed the game
exactly.
The Replacements, maybe. But at least they had an excuse. This year multiple games have been decided by officiating. It's a tainted season that the fan base really needs to mass mark as illegitimate.
@@kaidonmattison3250 as they always say don't let the refs decide your game as a cowboys fan this is the type of shit people always say to us so here ya go just play better and it won't be an issue next time
When even the rules analysts (who I always thought were former officials) are criticizing the officiating, you know something's wrong.
@Robert Reital I think a big part of the problem is that so many of the new rules being instituted are in direct opposition to the very nature of the game. Football is a violent sport. Everyone understands this from the players to the coaches to the fans. To have so many rules that try to specify what is too violent and what is not by judgement call is just begging for problems.
All that said, most of the conditions for violating these rules are spelled out pretty clearly in the rule book, and it's plain to see that many of the officials don't understand and/or apply them to the letter. They need to be better.
4:05 Heâs right in front of the official! And he completely missed that call! Itâs as if they donât care if you get your head twisted off!
that was a redemption call for the play before, lol.
Honestly in that clip you can see his eyes are on his feet and whether he steps out, understandable he didnât see the face mask
You just reminded me of "The Exorcist."
Why is no one talking about how that could have killed him? A little more twist and he's dead on the field. Imagine the backlash when a player literally gets his head twisted off and dies.
Roughing the passer penalties are killing the games
So is video review.
Absolutely. I walked away from watching the NFL a few years ago because of those types of calls (as well as Pass Interference, Defenseless Receivers, etc.) because you couldn't touch the QBs without risking a penalty. Then I'll watch one of these videos and realize that it's so much worse today. I frankly don't know how anyone thinks this is a decent entertainment product anymore.
Thank you again for this effort. The none calls are even more flagrant. Love your work.
I think we may start seeing harder hits on the QBs. If theyâre gonna call it anyway, defenders may start wanting to get their moneyâs worth
The âroughing the Bradyâ calls are especially heinous
That trip on Allen is egregious.
That should've 100% been called. Three refs these days are low IQ incompetent fools.
Agreed. As a Chiefs fan I was PISSED when I saw that. I don't want to win on a shit play like that and I would have been livid if I were a Bills fan. Second week in three that Jones has done some really dumb shit. He's talented but not too bright it would seem.
First i thought Allen was just trying to get anything to save the sack but after seeing the replay, Jones clearly knew what he was doing. I love the blossoming Chiefs/Bills rivalry but I these games to be a battle of skill, not horrible officiating.
@@MajorasRS3 I'm going to be honest, I probably would've thought the same thing until I saw the replay, even though I'm a Bills fan.
It wasn't tripping because it wasn't intentional. It was caused by the blocker trying to grab and redirect him.
We took Terry McAulay, Ed Hochuli, Gene Steratore, and John Parry for granted, didn't we?!?
they need more officials or refs need to be held accountable
You act like the refs arent being told to make these calls. This is coming from Goodell/ownership.
@@nathanpapp432 yep. Refs always get blamed because theyâre who fans see. The amount of training and verification these people go throughâŠ
I donât doubt they blow some calls, but blaming them fully is ridiculous
Now Sean McVay knows how it feels it to be robbed during a game
They still won tho
Yeah, like he's never had a bad call go against him before.
1:39 is this just me or was that a perfect transition?
They call so many touching the passer, but let go all these face masks, slamming the head to the ground in a body slam and such. Yah, they are concerned for concussion/head safety
Qbs are money.
Tom Brady, once, stepped on a Lego. His son is still paying fines.
My thing has always been, theyâre looking at slo mo replays. When you slow it down, itâs obvious. But the reality is, humans donât react in slo mo. It all happens within probably a seconds worth of time but the replays are 5-7 seconds. No oneâs gonna react to anything as quickly as it seems is becoming an obligation
These refs are throwing games, making judgement calls on players who are deemed "protectable" and ignoring everyone else. Ridiculous
I never believed the league was rigged⊠this season has had me questioning the integrity of honest play
Itâs always been rigged
@@royalsfan4784 Absolutely agree
By the end of this season someone could probably make like an hour long video of all the roughing the passer calls
Just the bad ones that shouldn't have been called ... that'll be a six hour video.
Already seen a whole bunch of memes of tom.
Coaches and players need to start roasting officials for obvious bad calls more in interviews. They got the money to burn when they get fined and it's the only way things might change.
All NFL officials should be called Angel Henendez.
Soooo basically refs are over flagging some plays which arenât ones, but not flagging the ones that should be flagged đđđ
Bruh the face mask not getting called is crazy someone neck is getting snapped
2 refs right there staring at the play. They definitely saw it
Just imagine how much money was lost on those calls and non calls.
They called roughing the passer on 99 on the panthers, but not the holding penalty on the center during that play lol
Bc they love the chiefs lol
What we learned from this week:
You can't touch the quarterback
You can grab someone's helmet and try to rip their head off
QBs definitely Over protected these days. Refs suck on this matter
NFL, you aren't making QBs safer; you're making the fame worse.
There has been too many controversial roughing the passer calls this year that you could make a series out of it lol.
I bet they do the refs like they do the players...fine them when they mess up calls, we'd see less of this sort of stuff...just sayin
Bro the standard of referees is dropping , last week you saw a women ref in every game. Obviously women donât play football this is just bad and not getting better
I swear, the shear amount of horrible RtP calls is gonna end up costing a team a playoff game or worse the Super Bowl. Defenses are rightfully overly cautious about even touching the QB
Weâre reaching the point where defence will have to tap the QB on the shoulder and ask him to kindly go to the ground
NFL 2022 - Refs too busy looking for Roughing the passer to call other fouls.
the roughing calls I've seen so far have been terrible. But as someone who played lineman, if a ref sees someone trying to run away from you and your gripping their shouldpads/jersey to keep them there you're gonna get called pretty much every time.
These refs are NOT incompetent. They are doing exactly what the league instructs them to do, steer the games.
There is way too much money on the line to risk the wrong team winning or not covering the spread.
The NFL endorses gambling. That is a clear conflict of interest.
The first was RTP
that first one is so obvious what? you cant do that lmao
I mean its debatable imho, but prob still rtp
They are really wildin out with Roughing calls
Itâs sad that thereâs enough of these bad calls to make a vid on them every week.
Draft Kings: The Official Sponsor of NFL Officiating
I've watched each of these every week this season and last season and what I've noticed is that there's about 20% off calls which are understandable because of where the refs are positioned who make the call as compared to us watching it from different angles.
The rest are just refs being stupid
I try to tell people that but they don't listenđ
Even still, taking off those 20%, that is approximately 11-12 min of bad calls
Refs have way too much control over the outcome of the game.
That hit on Hall from the Jets, they were checking if Hall was a quarterback
Death, taxes, and shaky roughing the passer calls
Touching the QB is now roughing the passer.
Unless you trip them, then its fair game
There was a holding call on Neal (Bills) in the Bills-Chiefs game that when they showed the replay, the Chiefs receiver was holding him. The announcers didn't say a word on the replay.
So these roughing the passer calls I believe is what is a result of the bangles game v.s Miami to their QB, it was a clean hit however the injury looked pretty brutal. So I feel they are starting to call roughing the passer calls alot more loosely to maybe make the hits lighter on the QB?
You can thank the stupidity of their coach for letting Tua play.
Which is sad because some of these other ball carriers are literally getting suplexed or pummeled out of bounds and the refs are suddenly like đšâđŠŻ
Every one of these videos is another piece of evidence for why I refuse to bet on sports. Lol and with HD replays all the mistakes are obvious. No one likes to feel cheated and this may be the worst of 2022 so far. (Why is no one getting called for tripping?! Sooo many this year already) but whatever, I don't own any stock in the team. Lol
Packers fan? They're the only team with stock to own.
It's so amazing all those Roughing the Passer penalties were being called but then that blatant Tripping call on Allen is completely missed.
NFL: Won't do a damn thing about concussions unless it's someone touching the team princess. It's like everyone else plays football, while the QB plays "man i just throw the ball oh god oh god oh god don't touch me" its like the only time a man wants to have no sack.
5 seasons ago when I decided to spend my time doing other things instead of watching NFL games I was worried I would miss it; glad I was wrong...
It'sa actuallly incredible as much money as the league makes and everything there are still so many awful calls like this
That first one is tough man. He went above the numbers. Thatâs always gonna get flagged
I swear, if theyâre THAT worried about the QB then they should wear flags
Right
the refs this season- đ€ đ€Ą
4:04 almost witnessed a man getting his neck snapped
Any QB getting hit/thrown too aggressively by the defense: Automatic RTP
RB/WR: "Necessary" roughness
Refs this year are as blind as Russell Wilson
Even worse than the bad calls are the perplexing NO CALLS.
Came here looking for the missed PI call against Kamara in the red zone... surprised it didn't make it
Maybe we should put flags on the QB to bring them down or we go to 5 alligator like we're in middle school again LOL đ WHAT IS THE DEFENSE SUPPOSED TO DO!?
The refs crack me up when they do funny and bad callsđ
It's all about entertainment. They must be doing their job, at least for you.
Honestly, I canât wait for the first player to question how they didnât get called for something and either ask an official or outright not realize the call doesnât happen
They need to change the rules so that a team is allowed to challenge EVERY PLAY. Replay shows that too often a ref got a roughing call, a holding call, and an interference call wrong.......give each team 1 or 2 challenges per half.
I get that referees are human and can miss things or make mistakes but some of these penalties are happening RIGHT in front of their noses.
the amount of bad calls, and then bad MAKEUP calls is absolutely appalling. the refs think they are the main event
That first RTP penalty really could have gone either way. There's an argument to be made on both sides. Also, as much as it hurts to day this, Forrest attempted to make a play on the ball, so that isn't really PI. Refs were right on that one
When you say Forrest play in assuming you mean the bears no PI call. If that's true you're wrong. In the replay you can see Forrest hook Pettis' arm before the ball got there. Forrest has a right to make a play for the ball but in no way does he, he goes after pettis to prevent the catch before the ball ever gets there. It is all about timing the ball correctly and Forrest just gets there way too early.
While I agree that the roughing the passer penalty against Carolina was a bad penalty, the refs just HATE calling face masks that happen to the Rams the last several years now. The most blatant was in the controversial NFC Championship game against the Saints a few years ago. There was a CLEAR facemask to Goff by the Saints the drive IMMEDIATELY preceding the infamous "non call" drive that should have made it First and Goal from the one instead of Third and Goal from the two. If that facemask had been PROPERLY called, it could have changed how the Saints ran the following drive and that non-call play might never even have had a chance to happen.
The ref crew that worked Broncos chargers might be one of the worst crews in history.
At this point a WR is going to get his neck broken because a defender pulled his facemask and not get a foul, but a pass rusher is pushed into the QB by a blocker and get ejected for it. This is ridiculous.
I love that both commentators miss the facemask penalty in real time, admit it, and then complain about the officials missing the facemask.
Burrow one: maybe, but no actually. Stafford One: no penalty of ioannidis. Geno one: no penalty whatsoever.
Its so sad how the refs can really have an impact on game, and say almost whatever they want without it getting reviewed. Im a browns fan, and it happens every game
I'm a bears fan and I can say the same for bears games.
This is getting sad. Just give the QBs red jerseys and make them touch tackle them. It's less embarrassing. Especially when you're not calling blatant facemask tackles.
With the way the refs have been officiating games this year i propose that tackles be completely removed from the game and replaced with flags around players waists
May as well put flags on the quarterback at this point since you basically can't touch them. đ
Exactly
If the NFL does nothing about this, they are extremely tone deaf. Tua was injured so now u call everything?
Roughing the passer is just a stupid call now, especially with all these running quarterbacks in the league. Like, might as well make it two hand touch for the quarterback only, hell, just let them do whatever they want, don't touch them at all.
It's horrible if the calls are this bad even with a ref standing there watching each plays
Eventually sacks will count as roughing the passer
Some already are just that.
7 Refs and they can't even get some of these clear-as-day calls correct. Refs and umps are ruining games, baseball football and basketball, across the USA. What a tragedy.
Saints getting screwed by the Refs for weeks
Not against Seattle.
@@Michael-sy1niwhat about Vikings, Buccaneers, and Cardinals?
This is why NFL needs to allow for challenge flags to be used against ref calls, and for missed calls. Give teams 3 challenges and then have the same review team go over the calls. Some of these calls change the outcome of games, and so missed calls as well.
did they change the rule so making contact with the QB is roughing the passer? at this point they should give the QB a flag belt to put around his waist and if the defense rips the flag off it counts as a sack and ends the play. it would be more effective then what is happening now. how can a team have a good defense if the defense gets fouled for doing their job?
You missed the unsportsmanlike call on diggs getting mad at him self that was a bs call lol
Refs need to be fined or suspended for these horrible roughing the passer calls as well as another stupid penalties
Week 6 and the scam continues. Only a fool bets real money on this con job of a league.
If there was a Steelers compilation of the last 6 years it would be 17 hours long, the Steelers get sold a lot from bad calls.
I was watching the Cowboys game and saw the lady ref signal first down and then they cut to the guy whoâs saying 4th down. As a sexist myself, that looked like a ref who really hates women refs and was disagreeing with her call just because sheâs a woman. If she had said 4th down he would have said 1st down.
They didn't throw a flag in the Colts Jags game because the Jags defender had a hand full of Jersey so the Refs let them play. You can't complain about a penalty while commuting a penalty. đ
Don't even look at the QB this season. I'm curious to see if the league stats will show less sacks this year overall.
Calls and non calls seem to be very selective in the NFL. Usually it's to manipulate the games so they get the result they want. Now during the rare times I ever watch an NFL game I look at it more like I'm watching a TV show rather than a real sporting event.
A billion dollar industry and people are surprised by bad calls? Follow the money.
This is just a single week? Yikes.
These roughing the passer calls have to be 100% reviewed. The penalty is too severe to not review it and keep getting them wrong.
Atrocious, disgusting, the NFL and officials deserve nothing but hate.
Watching these tells me one thing. The Vegas gambling interests are more than being covered. I wonder how much is placed on a weekly basis into the officials pension fund.
