The non-deluxe version is already the best looking game I own! The foil-backed merchandise, the thick tiles, the quality of the dice are all mega!
Another game with similar type of mechanisms - in which you can tag along - to fulfill contracts (in that case), if I remember correctly, is an old Uwe game called Merkator. Hopefully that will get re-printed someday!

Not going to ever back a game from elf Creek again in crowd funding. BUT looking forward to the retail release of this expansion.
True and I get the sentiment. They had a very rough patch for a while but have seen risen back from the ashes. I'm gonna back again, Honey Buzz is on the way, and I had no issues since receiving my Santa's Workshop copy and they were very speedy in sending replacement parts, too.

I have the deluxe version, and I can say that it is one of the most beautiful games I own. The coins are incredible... I don't like that when a player goes on an excursion, the others can go without any negativity. It's more worth going on other people's turns than ours. Maybe pay for the ride?! Anyway, I like the game and I'll probably buy the expansion. Keep up the good work.
big upside to leading the expedition though: you get a companion, you get a wagon upgrade (or two) and most of the time, the dice favour and your opponents take the bigger risk of getting worse die results :)
@@rahdo Yes, those upgrades are HUGE or a lantern and/or guardian's boon can turn a single turn into twice its normal worth!
Does it blend with the original game or is it more of a stand alone ??
