Wonderful review. I m very glad to see its getting some love. I agree with everything you said, I did get the deluxe version and went all in. I do agree that the good could have been a little better, but all and all if thats my only issue, I dont have one :)

I confess that I find metal coins hard to resist! But between Iron Clays and the coins from other games, I don’t think I’d need more.

@@HungryGamerReviews Haha! I have buckets of metal coins, but make a good playmat and I’m a pushover. I’ve gone back to late pledge games I bought just for a playmat!

So this is getting a lot of mixed reviews. What expectations would you set up for someone getting into this game so they’re not blindsided by hype?
Not to be lame. But it's good. I think if you are concerned about my quibbles in the video then you might have issues.
Don't buy it.
Go check the comments on BGG ratings and you'll see several similar complaints from different users.
You could always try it on board game arena and see if you like it.
I think that does still have some prototype rules , but it will give you a decent idea
how is the AI?
Very easy to operate. It has not happened to me yet, but I have heard that sometimes the AI is very stupid and you wind up w one score very low while the other is high. But that is heresy for me. I can see how it could happen...just haven't seen it myself
If you think coins are expensive for U$40, imagine paying (40+ 60% tax) x5.6 in Brazil #crying
