I would be PROUD to carry that into a grocery store. OMG those are so nice.
I think we will enjoy these for a good long time. 🙏
@@AlexanderDyer video finally getting a little traction. would like to see you get something significant from monetization. your video footage is really well done and edited.
@@AlexanderDyer Die Form ist okay , aber die Taschen sind zu dick .
I've never seen a sewing machine like that with the pressure foot doing a little tippy-toe dance, very cool. I love the bag too. You remind me of my dad when he made dresses for my mom, very exacting but not obsessive about it, good memories.
Many call it a walking foot but I really like tippy-toe dance machine. Thanks for that.😄 So happy to hear my video brought to you good memories. Thank you.
Wow, can I just take a minute to say a huge thank you for such a lovely video.
Especially nice because there was no loud irritating music and no rubbish talking loudly! Just what you did say was great, informative and helpful.
Those bags are wonderful and I’m dead jealous of your sewing machine. It was wonderful to hear the sound of you working on the bags. It made my day x
I’ve been a quilter for almost 40 years and have never really thought much about machines. I bought a 20+ year old Bernina almost 20 years ago and it is a fantastic machine. Your machine set my heart a fluttering. Now onto your bag,I love it. I love the size, the handles and like you said, it stand up and open. Nice!
I have my eye out for a Bernina, I think they are awesome. Thank you.
Oooof, I get such machinery-envy when I watch your videos! Those bags are gorgeous, I hope they get well-used!
We are already using them, and we love them.
Me too I have consequences 105 but none of those specialty feet tell me about all that please!

I'm getting up to that age where floppy bags are a real struggle. I like the idea of quilting and some binding but pretty sure I'd black out from the pain. That aside I really loved every bit of this. Very nicely done not only on the bag but on the video production. So much to enjoy and as a novice on an industrial machine, appreciate the tip for lining up a long stitch. I tend to fixate on the foot and videos like yours and Chechaflo remind me to relax, go slow. Fantastic sound by the way. There's a lot of work in getting that mic'd right and mixed so well. A lot of passion went into this video and I sure appreciate it.
@VacFink have you ever done a liver cleanse? It's amazing how much pain the body has to endure when the liver can't filter out toxins!
Hi Alex. Thanks for sharing your video. I just had to take a look when you mentioned you were going to quilt the bags. What a brilliant idea. I live in the UK and a few months ago a very kind lady gave me a stash of upholstery fabric, leftover lengths. I have a regular sewing machine and a Juki industrial machine. I do like the fact that your bobbin sits on the side of your machine. I'm looking forward to sewing up some good, strong bags. Some to keep and probably some to gift to friends. Definitely better than using/or keep buying plastic carrier bags. Thanks again
The clip on your bobbin thread is a great tip at 7:25. I learn a little "Golden Nugget" from each of your videos. Thank you for all you do to teach all of us!
They are too nice to be grocery bags. I would use them as an everyday tote bag for work. Love them and your great work!
Forget your groceries, you could carry a Singer 201 in those bags. Great video!
Love this idea, one side with zippers instead of binding, so it can be flapped down for side access to load and unload the machine, and maybe adding shoulderstraps for backpack use, and I could finally bring my own machine to the repair cafe, where I do textile repairs. No need to getting used to the other machines all over again, because I never know which of the three machines is available.
I've carried my brother machine to sew a long in an insulated bag for groceries
That will hold some serious canned goods! Your sewing equipment was fascinating.
You would not believe the length to which jaw dropped to the floor when I saw the binding setups you used. 😱 mad cool, man. Very entertaining!
Best way to do it. :)
This is one of the best sewing channels that I’ve found. You’ve got sone mad skills! I really love the design too.
Thank you.
I love a man who can sew. Thank you for the inspiration.
Really a treat to see things like this. Beautiful.
That sound in that walking foot sounds amazing 😻
Lovely demo w/great camera work! I would have added casings to the old bags, along the sides and tops. Boning inserts or even narrow dowels could then be inserted for support. This would allow removal or replacement for washing of bags. I find that moist veggies, leaky bottles and broken eggs need the wash. Nevertheless, your new bags are beautiful! Tell us about your steam generator press someday pls.

@@branchandfoundry560 Thank you!!
I learn something every time I watch your videos. You really make cool stuff. The stitch guide, Using the reverse and stitch length at the end of the run to have a nice even corner, I am not good enough to do that straight run I would have needed a chalk line. GREAT JOB.
Thanks, I use lines too but sometimes close is good enough and I thought this was one of those times😅
Previous video on setting up stitch tension is a great primer to this video! Brilliant idea of one vid setting up for successive video(s). Here's that one: czcams.com/video/5vJw-0AUEIY/video.html
@@branchandfoundry560 OH yea for sure setup is EVERYTHING.....But you stull need to be good patient. and I like how Alex has so many machines setup for each task. I wish I had a place and all the machines. Would be fun
@@AlexanderDyer you could have even made these using the wooden bag technique. that is a great video and idea that should get many more views.
@@Mikefngarage I own 8 machines all different. 2 in use at a time
I love watching the walking foot operate. Looks like a soldier's march. Loved the video.
I love that, let us all resolve to refer to this as the marching foot sewing machine.😆🙏
THOSE are the most practical and durable grocery bags...I want them for myself.🤗💖
I love the sound of your sewing machine
I like that you noticed the sound. Thank you
First video, the algorithm suggested, subscribed and a little envious of all the cool machines you have at your disposal.
Now to try out, what my Toyota Jeans machind can do with old Jeans and stiff bag interlining. My binding will probably be not as neat, but we will try, what is in our capabilities.
I am wondering, if I shouls work up a little bag sewing tutorial to hand out to our slow fashion sewing meetup tomorrow.
Demonstrating it, when my original idea does not find enough people interested. Those events are kind of flakey in those times of hygiene concepts and approximity restrictions.
I have learned so much from your channel And your finished items always have the look of top quality. Thank you from down under.
I am glad, I have learned a great deal from CZcams myself. Thanks for your engagement.
Super strong bag! I made/fixed an insulated bag with a top zipper to keep the food cold. I will have to super size one to handle the weight from the bulk food store using 500 or 1000d fabric and then make another that has a zipper and insulation.
💥❄
Love your machine. My domestic would do half of that. Wish I had know more about machine earlier in my life.
Look at your fancy binding attachments! Look at your fancy stand up bags! Nice video. 🧵👍🏻😃
Yes, yes, Look at it! ... Thank you. 🤗🙏
That was great. I have a Juki 1541s and I don’t use it at all. Was thinking of selling but will try making shopping bags. I purchased it for bag making but I just didn’t really take to it much. Anyway, thanks for the dose of inspiration.
Oooh…these bags are awesome and I love the binding tool!
Thank you for sharing your tips, Best bag ever. My machine loves the the thread, can you show how to use the binders on your page with any machine. I have CONSEW Premier P1206RB.
14:14 *No* - I don't like that.. I *love* it! Most beautiful grocery bag I've ever seen.
😂🙏🙏🙏
Very accomplished sewing skills, Love your bags !!!!
These machines do all the work. 🐎
I've just been using your last canvas bag as a grocery bag. Will give this a try though!
Great!👍
How versatile and strong they are its what we all need🥰
You have some awesome sewing machines. Thank you for showing us how you use them and how the attachments work. Learned so much watching this lesson.
Really nice and sturdy. I like longer handles so I can get them on my shoulder when full.
I'm learning how to sew myself but I make budget envelopes but I had to learn how to sew the material on it and I'm getting ideas all of my head but the never on my hands and that's the problem I have because of my disability but I'm getting there but I make budget envelopes for a living trying to help people and also love making bags but I like your love how to make them and the way that you make yours it's pretty good and I like the way you make them because a lot of people carry heavy groceries and they have to ride their scooters all the way home and I try to find a way that I can fit all my grocery bags on my scooter since I have to ride all the way home and sometimes I do have a bus some things like don't but even when I go out to Walmart I don't care like four or five bags of groceries on my scooter I have four cases of Pop plus my bag and I'm overlapping because I have to ride the bus home when I have to carry everything with me on the bus when I'm on a scooter so you gave me some ideas but I'm trying to learn how to sew I've been not knowing how to sew only things I don't know how so I end up using fabric glue to get it to stay but I got for Christmas last year my sister and my dad got me a sewing kit a handheld one for beginners and so I'm barely getting used to it I messed it up with my dad's trying to help me and I want his help but he didn't get to that point that he can't help me when he shakes too much but it doesn't bother me at least he's there helping me and he knows how to so he just knows how to and so and we know how to sew when we used to have a feed mill and we are so the material on the feedbacks that we know how to do it's just more different than you do it on a closed one and I like doing the one on the clothes one as you do the ones on the bags but you do what you have to do to help your self
Lovely. The detailed TLC makes it work.
First, that was a stellar sewing job. Your bag is 1000x better than any you could buy. Second, what fantastic equipment you have! I didn't realize when I took up sewing a couple years ago what an expensive hobby it is. Third, I just bought my step-up sewing machine replacing a basic beginner model. It's nothing a pro would use, but I think that for $600 they could've added that little seam guide you have. I'd trade 100 of the unnecessary stitches they gave me for one seam guide!
LOAD AS YOU GO! That is genius!!!
What is the height, width, and depth of these bags, and how long are the handles? Mr. Dyer YOU are amazing and so talented! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Outstanding workmanship. Love that bag!!!
Thank you.
I love the bag. Most of use don't have industrial sewing michines. Youre chalange, can you make it with a basic home sewing michine?
Nah, I know what that is like. 😅 I enjoy having these machines and I love to share that with whoever may care to watch. Your challenge is to acquire one of these. czcams.com/video/sBavkfataiM/video.html 😀👍
Aquire one of your machine caliber would mean not being on disability and having a bigger apartement, so a dream it will remain.
Watching you work with your equipment is second best, though.
@@NickUncommon I'm in your planet, on Disabled pension and selling small projects to get by. I just keep going with what I can manage and I really flog my domestic machines. Takes a while to find what will work for you.
Thank you so much Alex, I really really enjoyed watching you create these gorgeous and stunning shopping 🛍 bag. You’ve certainly made a brilliant job of them. And you have a great array of machine equipment, and it shows too. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too. Please stay safe and well too
Whoa! Did not expect this. Very excellent industrial machines. Fun to watch.
Very nice! I would have to make mine smaller so I could pick up the bag full of groceries.
Sure, great idea, custom sizes to suit your needs.
I L❤VE YOUR MACHINE!!! AND YOUR SKILL BECAUSE YOUR DRIVING THE MACHINE!!!
🙏
Love the yellow one!
Liked the binding finish.Wouldn't the bag stand up w/o the quilting especially with those handles, and are they heavy?
You bags are beautiful. Your sewing machines are magnificent!
Luv those machines and binding accessories!!!!
that was so satisfying to watch. those bags are awesome !!!!!
This was cool.... And I did enjoy watching it happen.
Thank you
Thanks! I ran into his issue with to tote to carry me while we are in the city or stores. I used 3mm felt but it was after thought. Thanks for the idea on version 2
That attachment you used at the end there. That was cool! Would love to see more videos on how that works?
That is a waistband folder. I acquired it with a sewing machine purchase. I just thought it might be an interesting way to hem a bag. I guess it was a success but I'm not sure it is my favorite way. lol
@@AlexanderDyer I see. Cool accessory!
I have been using v92 sunbrella but I would like to use 105. they dont sell it locally at the uphostery supply. But they do sell 277. OMG it looks like ROPE.....But I would need a much bigger bobbin. or bobbinless machine.
even the upholstery supply does not sell 138 either.
I get mine online. www.ctsusa.com/
for exact needle placement you can raise the foot and plunge the needle exactly whereever
What a genius idea you have with the last binding foot attached to the wood with a wood clamp. Very efficient.
That has allowed me to use the folder on more than one machine with minimal setup time.
These are beautiful. I’d buy them instantly. Especially that yellow one.
I like that one too. 🙏🙏🙏
Always something cool going on here, Alex. That drop down guide foot is a dandy.
I have used it more than I thought I would.
I looked for this guide in the description. Is there a link?
Oh man I wish I had some of these awesome industrial machines. So cool!!!
😎
Great sewing and bags!
🙏
Fabulous bag! Your talent along with the machine is very impressive. TFS :)
Amazing work. As a new male sower, I can only hope to be this good, years down the proverbial road. Thank you for sharing, like others have said, IV got some machine envy, beautiful equipment... All the best to you, happy holidays.. again thank you, subscribed .
Welcome to the club seamster. Thank you for the support. 💪🙏
Your attention to detail is refreshing to watch
Just would love to know where to get those big ass binding folders. looks like Atlanta attachments is long gone. Thanks
try www.tennattachment.com/
Wow! Thank you.
You're welcome!
Those were some very well made bags.
Fantastic!!!! I too have machine & attachment envy. Wonderful video. Thank you 😊
I love those grocery bags .I'm gonna make some just like those
Securing that binder to a piece of wood? Omg genius. I’m off to find me a scrap of wood. Lol might need to buy a clamp though. Lol I don’t do much work with wood.
It has worked fairly well and I have been able to set it up on various machines which is something I value.
Keep up the good working all that you do that's kind of really good I love back like that
Amazing craftwork, love the way you are filming your video
Thank you so much 😀
Always a pleasure. And an extra pleasure to finally see the man behind the voice!
😌
Durkopp Adler. I want!
For us without skills or tools ,a five gallon bucket. When waiting in checkout line I don't hold my stuff I just skid the bucket forward. Take the print off buckets with ammonia
That is a practical solution.
You just had to show off that Adler didn't you. Nice machine. Been watching your vids for years now. Glad you are still in the sewing machine game.
More to come!
Ficaram lindas parabéns
I thumbs before watching because I was confident this is gonna be good. I wasn't disappointed., hehe.thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the confidence.
U have good machines. No wonder u can do whatever u want
This is neat. I want to make one now. I have a walking foot machine. Now i have a reason to use it. Thank you for sharing
Yes, yes, get out the sewing machine.
Hermosa muy profecional parece de tienda felicidades 🙌👍 bendiciones 🙏
Very nice. Thank you
Your shop is amazing. of you give a tour and talk about your machines?
Yes, this also includes a machine that is up to this project!
Truth
I've been putting together corners the hard way for years. Not any more!
Love the colors, and the design. Thanks for showing us how you do it.
Love it!
I have serious machine envy now
Excellent bags!!!
Lovely grocery bags.
Fo you sell them?
I watched this video and enjoyed the lesson. My question is the measurements. I don’t see any anywhere, unless I missed them.
I don’t know what that is but I hate binding. So for me that would be a true game changer!
in less heavy fabrics I use French seams
Perfeitas 👜! 💘💚💛🙋🇧🇷 ,as cores da minha pátria. E que máquina de costura!😍👏👏👏
Measurements would be nice but those are awesome. Home sewer with a regular machine tho would not know how to contract it
That is some heavy duty grocery bags!
Now that's what I call a grocery bag! Thanks for showing this
🙏👊
Perfect. Thank you. Love your machines!!!!
What a chic bag ❤
très chic oh la la😉
Super.
