can give the Guardianship letter to the prospective adoptive parents (Means if a close

I am in adoption process. I have one concern about adoption. Once a woman gets pregnant she gets 9 months to prepare for parenting. But I may get my baby in few mnths of may be few years. How will I prepare myself. And any suggestion on parenting book specific to adoption. Thank you in advance

Your referral will depend on your date of registration and not the waiting list. As of now December 2018 referral is going on. So you can calculate accordingly

If you are a single mother.. The child doesn't need a father's name. That's what I am trying to tell you. You can add whatever surname you want your child to use.

Hi she had chosen the age bracket of 0-2 yrs.. And she got a six month old baby.. It took about 3 yrs to bring her child home.. That's the normal waiting time as of now..

It will depend on your date of registration.. Not the waiting number. As of now feb 2019 registration referrals are going.. So you can calculate accordingly

I want to apply as a single woman. Is the undertaking from my parents (aged above 55) enough? I don't have any relative whose age is below 40. Will my application be rejected by HSR agency for this reason?
Hi Puja.. You can ask your close friends to give undertaking. Or any close relatives adult children can also give. Basically it is to have a back up for unforseen circumstances

I don't support adoption by single parents..you have a responsibility to give the best to the child...so father and mother is necessary...I just told what I felt..no grudges against you
It's definitely your personal opinion.. However do know that unfortunately (God forbid) if one of the partners passes away then in 99% of the cases only one parent raises the child. CARA has several clauses stating a single parent must have a good support system.
I hope I have given a few inputs that will help you assess your opinion better. 🙂
